What a great surprise! This Pat's is not related to the one I used to know on the North Side so I wasn't sure what to expect. Our options for delivery in the South Loop are pretty limited so we were excited to find a place that would come to us on a cold, snowy winter's night. They told us 45 minutes and it was 45 minutes. They have coupons online, and there was no problem redeeming it. The delivery fee must be baked into the price, which was also nice. But the main thing, of course, was the pizza itself, which was excellent- super thin crust, crisp and a great taste. Definitely not greasy. We had to warm it up a bit and I could have used more mushrooms, but overall, this was a very favorable experience. We will definitely be ordering from Pat's again. I hated the pizza. The flavor did NOT blend with the pizza. It was like eating a Salad with too much going on. I order Quartrro cheese with BBQ chicken mushroom, spinach and jalapeños. The chicken BBQ did not taste ANYTHING like a chicken BBQ ... I tasted an overload of bbq sauce more than the chicken. The spicy chicken wings were not worth eating (not because the wings weren't spicy) it lacked FLAVOR... Price? TOO EXPENSIVE. My order came to 42 dollars. just one large pizza and wings ... that's it ... I actually tossed the pizza in the garbage along with the wings. I am not speaking out of spite. The pizza is good and delivery guys at excellent. Only issue is with their salads, which always appear to be pre-made. Ordered a house salad tonight with no onion and it came with no onion, but you can clearly tell there was onion on the salad and it was just picked off prior to delivery. We were getting tired of the deep dish pizza and longed for something different. The reviews here looked pretty good so we gave it a shot. We ordered a large cheese thin crust pizza and asked the gentleman at the counter what else he recommends. He suggested the rib tips and the garlic bread with cheese, so we ordered both. The rib tips were delicious and covered in the best bbq sauce I've had. The garlic bread was great as well. The pizza was some of the best I've had. The sauce was slightly sweet just the way I like it. He also threw in a six pack of soda for free. This was the best value I had in the week I stayed here. All that food and drink was just slightly less than $30 and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. In fact, we're going back for dinner. Also, this is a very small place with counter seating for about 8 people. I assume they do mostly take out and delivery. read more

Beware that this is not the same Pat's Pizza as up North. I looked at the online Menu that redirected to the northside location assuming they were owned by the same people. Ended up ordering a meat lover's pizza, which they knew how to make, but cost me like $35, for a medium. The sausage was so greasy that the pizza fell apart and it just tasted awful. This was a regular crust pizza. It kinda sickens me to live in Chicago and have knock off pizza places like this. Unfortunately, this place has not been very good lately. The last 3 or 4 pizzas I've ordered have either been undercooked, missing ingredients, or so poorly prepared that I eat less than a quarter of it before giving up. When we lived in the Loop, we ordered Pat's quite a bit as the location was close and delivery was always fairly prompt. Truth be told, I rarely, if ever really enjoyed it, however, Amy loves their thin crust with a variety of toppings, so we'd generally order from here about 1/2 the time we got pizza. I always thought it was WAY overpriced for the quality, especially in comparison to other pizza places where the food is much better. Anytime a mediocre medium pizza, salad, delivery, tax = $35, something is wrong. Anyway, since moving to the West Loop, we've been ordering from other (better) spots , however, Amy had her craving for Pats today and we ordered it. Suffice to say, it took about 80 minutes (20 minutes over the quoted time) to arrive and the pizza and garlic bread were cold. They also managed to send the wrong type of soda. How difficult is it to get a soda correct? I called them up and was put on the phone with Nick (I'm guessing the manager). He was in fact VERY nice and apologetic and although he said they were slammed, didn't try to use that as an excuse for the cold food. His offer was $5 off and a free liter of soda next time we order. IMO, this was a pretty crap offer and food should have either been comped or replaced. I didn't push for replacement since we didn't want to wait another 90 minutes for food, so I agreed - although, it's going to take all of my other favorite places going out of business for me to agree to order from here again. For those looking for good pizza this would not be the place. Let's start with with the service ( Completely Horrible ). We sat for a good fifteen minutes before anyone acknowledged us. But yet we stayed considering how long it took to even be look at. So we now order a pizza well people were coming and going but yet we still haven't received our food 45 minutes later. At this time I had to go and my wife stay behind to have them pack up our food to go. Well at that point we should of just bought a frozen pizza it would of been better. She brought the ice cold pizza to the manager. The manager told her to bad she just watched them pull it out of the oven. Well judging by how long we sat there for I understand why it was cold. Point being we sat patiently waiting but yet thy were so ignorant and can't fuss up to the mistake thy made and straight out lied. I don't understand how thy want repeat customers under those circumstances. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. Best thin crust Pizza in Chicago. No debate. My boss ordered from here about 6 years ago, and I never looked back. The Pat's (sausage, onion, green pepper) is my fave. Pat's was alright, I don't have too much to say. The giardinera and sausage combination was good don't get me wrong but man it was expensive for thin crust. If i'm paying that much for pizza, it better be chicago style deep dish!!! The quality and quantity did not justify the pricing but if you're not worried about the budget, it's a decent place to get some thin crust pizza. To begin with I rarely discriminate with Pizza. All pizza is good on some level. However as a south looper for the last decade I thing that Pat's is the best! We even did a "Pizza off" vs another local delivery and Pat's came out on top. This is Chicago and to be competitive you have to be something a lot of things right.
