Uhh.. I came here to grab a quick bite since I saw all the rave reviews about their lobster roll. And this girl right here, loves a good lobster roll. I've never come across one that I didn't like. Except Pauli's. Maybe I'm nuts but I thought it was so under seasoned. Perhaps if the sweetness and flavor from the lobster came out, I would've liked it better but the lobster was a bit bland as well. Mixing something in mayo doesn't mean that it'll taste great. They do put a lot of lobster meat on the roll but it doesn't hurt to season that baby up. read more

Had a very delicious lobster roll here, only reason I'm giving four stars is because it was sort of small. I didn't know there were different sizes, and the guy didn't offer it to me. But they were very polite and laid back. I got one lobster roll with regular potato chips. And my friend got the jalapeño chips, which I highly recommend. So delicious! We originally wanted to go to Neptune's but the line was around the corner. We decided on Pauli's and it was so good. We ordered the USS Lobstitution (two 14oz lobster subs) and a Mac and cheese. The lobster roll was served on a garlicky toasted Italian bread. The lobster was perfect - not too much mayo and no fillers. Every bite was bread and lobster. The Mac and cheese was not worth the $10 but my two year old daughter also had to eat. GREAT LOBSTER ROLLS! I brought my mom and sister who are visiting from out of town to Pauli's after reading the Yelp reviews. We got both the buttered and cold rolls and both were delicious. The amount of lobster you get for the price cannot be beaten! It was $17 for a 7oz hot roll with chips and $30 for a 14 oz cold roll with chips. I can't wait to come back! Yo, this spot right here is the absolute shit! Too f***in bad I live in California because I would come here to eat their Lobsta Roll everyday if I could. I came here with only a couple of hours left until I had to catch my red eye flight back home and it was worth rushing to the airport from. We ordered catering from Pauli's this past week for a work event and let me tell you, we have found our new favorite place for Italian!! EVERYTHING was beyond delicious!!! My favorite is the chicken ziti broccoli! Creamy and flavorful with huge chicken pieces! Some of my other faves of what we ordered was the meatballs (yummmm!), chicken parm (scrumptious!), chicken piccata (which I don't usually like but LOVED!!) and the desserts... I was in heaven!!! Pauli's is a deli shop in the North End that is known for its rich-in-lobster lobster rolls. I saw them on phantom gourmet via a Facebook video and I figured I would give them a shot. Parking is insane (the place is better suited for foot traffic) but we found a spot surprisingly (less than 5 minutes.) I suspect that this is not the reality for most folks who drive there. The place is small and it seats maybe like 15 people or so. We went during closing time so it was relatively empty. I don't know what it looks like when it's really busy. I ordered the lobster roll (hot) that is coated/cooked in butter (for an additional $2.) The roll was very meaty with lobster but it was kind of small, especially for what costs 20$ or so. The best part was probably how hot the lobster was as I was eating it. It was really good. Maybe I'm just upset that it ended sooner than I would have liked it to. Anyway, the place is good. Pauli's is awesome. The thing I appreciate so much about this place is that you can order a wrap/salad/sandwich with grilled chicken and still be served at the same pace as other folks who order other sub shop fare. Usually the order of Grilled chicken adds 5-10 minutes to being served since they have to cook chicken on the flattop from raw. Here's the thing though, despite being pre-cooked before I order, it is still hot, juicy, and better than the grilled chicken at most sub shops. Came here to get a great start to my morning in the North End, known for its Italian hustle and bustle. I shared a steak tip and 2 egg breakfast special with the Pollo Pesto. Coming from the Bx, I have my share of delicious simple, delicious breakfasts and Italian style delis. I have to say, compared to the west coast, this is the first spot I've encountered outside of my beloved M&R Deli (Bronx, NY) where the food was comparable. The steak tips were tender, cooked almost perfectly, with a delicious char. Pair that with slightly overdone sunny side up eggs was a disappointment. But I can't complain considering they didn't mess up the steak tips. The sandwich was well prepared, the pesto sauce went well with the chicken cutlet. First time I've encountered a pesto sauce for a sandwich and I was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely a cool spot to stop by, share a sandwich if you are curious what an east coaster appreciates in a sandwich. It's not the best, but it'll do... 4/5. Definitely a good sandwich shop for sure. And those little men and their little motor deliver bikes you see at all hours in the North End - love them. I've never utilized them, but they are awesome. I grabbed a Killer B sub here today for lunch and it was real good. The breaded chicken in it was deliciously crisp and still so moist. Loved it. Sitting here across the country far from home (Arizona) and thinking to be this close to water, I gotta find fish! As any reasonable human knows, everything tastes better fried, so I not only need fish, but it needs to be fried fish. So yelp to the rescue for the hunt for fish & chips within walking distance. This brought me Pauli's door and not a single part of me has regrets! Though their sandwiches and wraps look and sound amazing, I knew what I came in for. The staff was very friendly and quick with the order. They let us know that it takes 10 minutes for our fish & chips and asked if that was ok. Ten minutes was little to ask for something that tastes that good. It came with a large chunk of fish fried beautifully and split in half. It was not dripping in grease or getting mushy batter. It was crisp outside and warm and flaky, not mushy, on the inside. It came with onion rings and fries. Both were good though boyfriend preferred the onion rings. I got this delivered to me at work, based on the outstanding reviews here on Yelp. As most people have commented on, I went for the lobster roll sandwich. The person I spoke with over the phone recommended that I get it cold, since it was being delivered. So, I went with that advice and was not disappointed at all. I guess I only give it four stars, because it would have been nice to get something hardier besides chips for $20.11. Perhaps, add fries or hush puppies, since it is seafood, or even a healthier vegetable side would have done the trick. I was just craving something else with it.
