    Green beans

Oh yeah this place is good. Very delicious. Love me a good chinese restaurant with good porkchops. We ordered: honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper porkchops, green beans, and house special chow mein! Everything tasted very good. We actually ended up eating like 80% of the food. It was served quicker than we expected! Our server was also very kind and attentive :) super glad we got to try this place

It was our first time dining here. The food portion was huge and for sharing. I was happily surprised by it. We opted for the lunch meal with soup. I got the hot & sour soup while my husband got the egg soup. Both were good. For the meal, I ordered the chicken chowmien with sweet & sour pork and my husband got the chicken chow mien with orange chicken. Theres also cream cheese at the side and fortune cookie for dessert. The food tasted good and very filling. The service was nice. The old guy immediately gave us fortune cookie for our baby upon getting seated. He was also thoughtful and gave us straw and small utensils that's well suited for our child.

Good spot for lunch and Chinese food. The waiters are awesome. We had a great lunch. Everything we ordered was amazing. Come and check them out.

    From the outside, excellent signage!

Charming unfancy little place in a strip mall. Eight tables of four chairs each and a brisk takeout business. I was in the mood for plain bland hot food in a sit-down environment to settle my busy day and "Mike" and his kitchen staff delivered! Pineapple chicken and white rice - perfect. The takeout traffic was steady throughout my meal. Friday fun! Likely return for more yummy and some spice.

Had an errand at the Merkley Ave Post Office and decided to stop in to Peace Cuisine to try one of their lunch specials. There were several tables on each side, and you order directly at the counter at the back of the space straight from the main entrance. I decided to go with their General Chicken ($11.95) which comes with soup of the day, cream cheese wonton, chicken chow mein or chicken fried rice. When i asked if they could do half and half chow mein/fried rice, it was $1.00 extra. Very nice attentive service from the gentleman who took my order and brought it out to the table. The soup of the day was egg drop soup which was fine. The lunch special plate portion was huge. The fried rice could have used a little more soy sauce/color, but was salty enough. The chow mein was too much to finish and I ended up taking a small container home of just the chow mein leftovers! The general chicken was good, tender and not too spicy sauce coating. No veggies like broccoli though came with it. The cream cheese wonton was not crispy but a decent size. Fortune cookie also at the end of the meal, pay at the counter. The lunch specials pricing is valid until dinnertime! After 5PM add $1.00 more to the lunch specials pricing for the dinner specials. I did not ask if this is 7 days a week or only weekdays. The next lunch special items I want to try next are the salt and pepper pork, sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, or honey walnut shrimp. Even though I tried both the fried rice and the chow mein, I still haven't decided which one I like better for the next visit/special.

Chill spot to grab some food. I can confirm that prices have increased a bit, the portion sizes are still the same. Service was quick. Fish fillet in black bean sauce: 3.9/5 (4.1/5 with spicy chili oil). Came out to about $18 and some change, rice not included.

This place is very quick and fills the craving. The chow mein is solid. We recently switched to pescatarian and the took the chicken out no problem! The walnut shrimp (not pictured hehe) is very good, not super crispy but still had a good texture. The prices are also pretty good, especially if you get their dinner or lunch combos which we have done in the past. Pretty easy to find and the parking lot always has spots from when we have been. Definitely more a pickup place but there is seating indoors where you can enjoy your food. The workers have all been really nice and friendly everytime we have gone.

Came here with the wife and a friend who had recommended this place for the past 2 years, but from Elk Grove it's a bit of a drive. Well, I must say it was a great experience here and the drive wasn't too bad. Upon entering we saw just once person behind the counter and nobody in the restaurant. After my friend convinced me they do mostly take out, I then felt more comfortable ordering. Another sense of relief was seeing multiple certificates on the wall from Yelp and media write ups regarding their food. Michael was nice with a dry sense of humor, which I enjoyed. We ordered the chicken egg foo young, wor won ton soup with noodles and Peace cuisine special noodles (vermicelli), which was good but we thought it would have more ingredients than baby dried shrimp and diced Chinese sausage (lop cheurng). The wor won ton was packed in a large bowl with thinly sliced chicken, little bit of beef, whole shrimp, bbq pork along with meaty won tons and hor fun (thick white) noodles. The table favorite was the egg foo young, which was huge in diameter (at least 10") and pan fried perfectly (crisp edges). Bowl of brown gravy on the side was the topper; I even poured it on top of my rice! Only downer was they ran out of their dish that was written up...crispy fried chicken. Perhaps next time we visit they'll have it available.

Peace Cuisine is an unassuming power house! They have a nicely shaded parking lot with ample parking and a dining room with large and bright tables. We were greeted immediately and seated comfortably, dining for 3. Service was courteous and prompt. The table was never messy and drinks always refilled. I was amazed by the portions and pricing. They really are quite generous and the taste is very good. I ordered the Mongolian beef dinner special with the chicken chow mein, and it was epic. Mountain of tasty noodles and a mound of silky beef. It was impressive! The egg drop soup was much thicker than expected but was very good. The wonton had a nice crisp. My friend ordered the walnut prawn with fried rice, and absolutely no complaints. We had plenty of leftovers and I did not experience any food coma afterwards. Highly recommend!

    General chicken (needs some spice)

It had been years since i had last been here...since before the pandemic. I was in the area, wanted a quick, inexpensive lunch, and with the nostalgia factor playing into it, I figure I'd give it a go. Reasonably priced for a lunch special. $12 got me a decent amount of general chicken, rice, soup, and a cheese wonton. The hot and sour soup has potential.....taste was there, but it was more a "warm and sour soup." Since I was there about twenty minutes after they opened, I feel fresh soup should be hot. A shame, because the flavor was good, but I wish it were hotter. The chicken could have been spicier, but it was good quality chicken (not deep fried pieces of ..... that you find at restaurants using poor quality meat). Props for that, fries well....just a little bland. I think overall, the place has potential to be higher on my personal list, with a tweak here or there. Overall, I think this falls into my "probably wouldn't recommend, but if people want it, I'd have no problem returning" category of restaurants.

Thank you to Steven C for putting this restaurant on my radar! My pictures tell the story best and I can't say more than what the other five & four star reviews already stated. My whole family has been enjoying the fresh made to order food from PEACE CUISINE. This restaurant has been our go to since the first visit. Huge portions, great variety, lots of veggies, tastes wonderful, and good value. They also let you modify dishes or substitute ingredients to your preference. I will say that some of their noodle dishes can be too oily but I think if I ask for them drier, they would do it. They are such polite people! Customer service is so friendly and helpful. Truly nice staff/owners who are attentive to their customers. Located in a strip plaza close to the freeway exit/entrance, dining area is basic and clean. They have a display wall of their years of Yelp accolades!

The service is outstanding. We were welcomed right away. The server is very friendly and went over options for different dishes. Got a lunch special on a weekend which is appreciated. The food portion was large. I have enough for dinner and maybe even lunch tomorrow.

Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!
