It arrived piping hot with a distinct citrus butter. Not sweet at all, very nutty, and the table next to us got an order that looked much more like cornbread. We'd order again to give another try. The main dishes were outstanding! My husband ordered the filet. Perfectly cooked with this amazing garlic aioli. The pecan fire taste came through. I went with my typical shrimp and grits (despite several bad reviews) and it was wonderful. A little bit spicy with creamy grits and at least 12 shrimp. For dessert we tried a banana pudding and pecan pie. Tasty but would probably get something different next time. The gingersnap flavor was strong in the banana pudding, and the pecan pie didn't have a gooey part that we are used to having. Service was extremely attentive and prompt. Our server, Rajah, was as delightful as you can be. Food came out quickly. The dining area is light and airy although slightly loud. I've wanted to try this place for the longest time, and what better way than with friends!! Their menu features fresh farm to table ingredients, and everything we ordered was excellent. We started with the Southern Pecan Cornbread, which was an easy 5/5, and I paired it with a refreshing half-and-half peach iced tea from their selection of peach, green, and seasonal flavors. For our meal , we ordered the Grilled Mushroom Flatbread with locally sourced mushrooms, roasted sweet peppers, Fontina, Parmesan, roasted garlic, and fresh arugula. It was packed with flavor and another 5/5. We also split the Charleston handheld sandwich with pecan-fried chicken, Brie, roasted pears, citrus-tossed arugula, and Creole peach sauce. The sandwich was fantastic, but I'd recommend asking for the Creole peach sauce on the side so you can add it to your liking. Every dish tasted fresh and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere was quaint and inviting, everything was clean, and our waitress and the staff were friendly and attentive. My favorite thing? No seed oils! I was not sure what to expect at this place, but I met a coworker for dinner and would definitely come back again. There's a cute little shop at the front, then the restaurant and bar itself behind that. They have a whole space for drinks on tap -- you have a card that you use and they tally up the charges for your bill. We didn't use it, but I'd want to try it next time I'm there. On a recent family visit in Jacksonville area, we had dinner at this restaurant. The food is very interesting - a modern version of southern comfort with innovative dishes, but the winner was the tap wall, where you can try different types of beers, wines and cocktails. You are given a debit like card which is linked to your credit card. You can tap at one of the spigots and drink as little as an ounce or a full glass of the beverage. We really had fun with this concept. The service was good and attentive. At the entrance there is a market of local vendors such as honey, jams, etc which are supported and promoted by the restaurant. We will try this location on our next trip to the area. read more

I finally made it to this place and I am so glad I did. I'm not big on checking out places right when they open and I'm glad I waited a bit for this one! It was a great evening. We started off with drinks. I had a mocktail(spirit free) - Winter Chill Mule. Quite delicious! I also tasted a pear pressure and river light sour (both with spirit!) and they were great as well! As a table, we just ordered a bunch of plates to share. Kept me from decision fatigue lol. We had angel eggs and wow! Really liked that as an app. We also had jacked up cornbread bites and they were great. I really liked the hot honey these were served with. Additionally we ordered a side of the carrots and I was a big fan of these especially with the whipped feta. We also had Swicy Savannah flat bread. The pears paired with the chicken were wonderful. We also had the grilled mushroom flatbread and it wasn't my favorite portion of the meal but I would still eat it again. Both flat breads had plenty of arugula which just elevated them more. I love arugula. On to dessert - we got 5 of the 6 dessert cups to share around (the 6th was basically just fruit. Not exciting enough for this table ). My favorite was the blueberry lemon curd but there wasn't a bad one in the house. Close runner up was the carrot cake. It had a lot of citrus zest to it that was just *chefs kiss*. I really liked the ambiance of the place. The seating is nice. Indoor and outdoor. Didn't feel too loud. And I thought the wine pouring wall was incredible. What a fun idea. Brought my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner & it was a fantastic first experience at Pecan. Our server, Jax, was so personable and sweet. We started with the jalapeño cornbread bites, which we expected to be small bite sized but they are a generous size almost slices. Listen, we weren't complaining, they were delicious! We then split the Caesar salad, Brie & chicken flatbread, and the shrimp & feta flatbread. Everything was so tasty! All the ingredients were fresh & the house made Caesar was on point. We loved what we chose! We polished off our meal with the bread pudding dessert & the lemon curd with blueberries. Absolutely love the touch of them being served in mini mason jars. Can't wait to come back for more yummy choices! I also have got to mention the super fun drink wall! You get a tap card and each tap which includes custom-made, cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits, each part priced per ounce, and you just use the lever and drink as much as you want... Which means it is a completely deadly and expensive situation but if you have proper self-control as we did, you will be just fine! I had heard a lot about Pecan Craft Kitchen coming to the Fruit Cove/St Johns area and let me tell you they did a great job with the building and the entry when you first come in. They also seem pretty busy still. Almost every table in there was full and this was on a Thursday so good for them. Once seated I noticed they they had a whole self pour beer wall with wine and cocktails. These are one my my favorites so back fan of that even though I wasn't drinking that night. We started off with the Angel Eggs and these were very good. Some of the best in the area for sure. I would eat multiple orders of these and not get sick of them. For my entree there were a few things that looked good but knowing it was my first time here I had to try the Citrus Grilled Florida Shrimp & Marsh Hen Mill Cheesy Grits since Shrimp & Grits are one of my go-tos. I will say at first I was a little disappointed but it had also my shrimp in it then looked like from first glance. They we all just picked under the Okra. I will say the Zesty Creolla Sauce was a little on the bland side. Just figured it would be a little more rich and spicy. The shrimp where fine as well. Are 10 of them and not to small but not too big either for sure just average. I enjoy every visit to Pecan! This was my first time sitting outside and I was actually chilly from the breezy afternoon. Plus, fans were spinnin' out there. Yes, I'm 100% Floridian. But it's a different vibe out there and I'm here for it. I've been here a few times. After the first time when my daughter wasn't a fan I just came with my bf because we both like it. I took my daughter this time, tho. She just isn't digging the kids options. She'd rather have beef burger or breaded chicken. Yum!!!!! Came here for an early weekday dinner with family in town and had a really great experience. I ordered the mahi special and loved it, super fresh and flavorful and the asparagus was so large I couldn't believe it. My husband got one of the sandwiches and said it was really good too, he would get again!! We also tried a few apps and the deviled eggs were a standout. The decor is really cute and gives the place a great vibe. Parking was easy (assuming bc it was a 530pm dinner) which is always a win. A solid lunch spot with real potential, just a few tweaks away from being exceptional. The space itself is stylish and clean with a trendy vibe, though fair warning: dress in layers, because it was freezing inside on a Saturday afternoon. We shared four dishes between two people (the trout, pimento cheese, cornbread, and mushrooms) and the hits definitely outweighed the misses. The trout was the star of the table, cooked beautifully and full of flavor. The pimento cheese app was equally impressive and we would order both again without hesitation. The cornbread with jalapeño, however, was a swing and a miss for us. The sauce it came with felt out of place and overwhelmed the dish. Next time we'd try the plain. Similarly, the mushrooms leaned too heavily on smokiness and the accompanying sauce felt unnecessary rather than complementary. The restaurant markets itself as a healthier option, no fried foods, clean ingredients, which we appreciated in concept. That said, many dishes arrived heavily sauced, which made the "light" positioning feel a little misleading and caloric, however I did not confirm the calories. At $85 for two people sharing just one entrée, two apps, and a veggie side (tip included), the price felt steep for a casual lunch. You'll want to keep that in mind going in. A really interesting restaurant with an energetic vibe, plenty of different experiences, great food and wonderful service. We made a reservation on a Saturday night which was a good idea, since the restaurant fills up quickly. The valet parking hinted that it might be a high-end restaurant, but once inside it was much more casual. There's a market for takeout orders when you first walk in, then a dining area, a separate bar, and a covered outdoor patio area. We stayed in the main dining room and had some excellent food - I'd definitely recommend the flatbread, the Charleston chicken sandwich, and the sweet potato mini side dish. We were drinking soft drinks, so I never did figure out exactly how things work with the drink taps on the wall.. I assume there's a card system that allows patrons to pour their own beer. We didn't save enough room on this visit to try dessert, but it looked like they had some interesting desserts as well. My husband was nice enough to make us a dinner reservation at this fairly new place in Julington Creek and I am really glad he did because it was a good experience. They have indoor, porch, outdoor and bar seating. We got a table in the indoor section of the restaurant. The decor is new and modern rustic. The menu offers plenty of appetizers, Flatbreads, handhelds, entrees and desserts. We started with a BBQ chicken Flatbread and it was very tasty. We also had the sweet potato dippers and they came with a roasted garlic sauce that was great. We also split the Charleston chicken sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. Before we left I used the bathroom and it was the best smelling bathroom I have ever been in. I noticed they were burning a candle and had a sign in there that they sold the candles in the farmer's market area. We started with the pimento cheese appetizer. I'm sort of picky about pimento cheese as my southern roots expect great texture, flavor and a little bit of spice. It was a little thick and a little too chunky for spreading on a cracker or for dipping. Personal preference, so I'm not sure I would order it again. I came back the second time to try out their other dishes on Friday evening. We came right at 5 PM and we didn't need to wait for a table for four which is awesome compared to our last Experience. Beautiful interior. They have a calamansi aka calamondin tree right when you enter the restaurant. We had a reservation so we were seated right away. I was surprised that the calamansi juice was not in their menu for drinks, I guess they are not familiar with it. This was our first meal of the day so we ordered coffee. I was making same day dinner plans with my sister to get dinner after work and an appointment when I saw that Pecan Craft kitchen had an opening. I was so excited to take her back to try the flatbread. After ordering the fish last time which was inedible and accompanied by the smallest scoop of sweet potato(left starving but made whole by the manager for a sandwich to take as leftovers) we decided to go with a sandwich and flatbread which are both the category stars of their menu. The entrees on the menu are really lacking and very expensive for the portion sizes but the flatbreads and sandwiches are amazing, unique and filling. We really wanted to try the salad but it is only available at lunch which I think will be the only hours I will return here in the future. I do not give 4 stars lightly and do not wish to be harsh with a review for a restaurant that truly has SO MUCH POTENTIAL and incredible value to add to the local restaurant scene - however both of our meals came out COLD! They came quickly after ordering so I was confused in how they could be prepped, prepared and served ice cold - not lukewarm but literally cold potatoes. While I do commend them on again, making the meal right - it is just frustrating to go out to dinner to be left hungry or eating COLD food :(. I ate my whole flatbread cold since I was starving after work and the replacement came after I finished so I was able to take it home. We split both meals and when I tried the potatoes with the sandwich, I was so confused by the temperature and even confirmed in case they were meant to be served cold - which they were not. My sister also got a dessert which is just so tiny - I meant to look in the dessert case at the front to see if there was anything worth taking home, but I was just so ready to go. I know the concept is to be healthier but I would prefer even just one $9-10 dessert that has some volume to it over ordering two $6 desserts just to feel unsatisfied. She also hoped to order a decaf coffee but they only had regular. I will give it one more go in the future as I am looking to try the cheese board and the lunch salad of which both look great - but I will be extremely let down if it's cold or inedible again. The back patio is also a big star of the show, with heaters and Adirondack chairs, TVs and games. Just stunning! The ambiance of the entire restaurant is full of potential and so, so beautiful and well designed. Checked out this newly opened spot and really enjoyed it. Had a reservation and were seated right away. The place has a casual and welcoming vibe. We started with the Southern BBQ chicken flatbread and a hot latte. For mains, my wife and I shared the PK Burger and the pecan-fired salmon superfood. Not bad. The best part for me was the drinks. You get a tap card and can pour your own cocktails, beers, and wines. All are priced by the ounce and very reasonable. I had a couple of beers and a Moscow mule. I went against my normal practice and visited within the first 30 days of a new restaurant opening - and it bit me. Beautifully appointed inside. We shared the grilled sweet potato minis amongst 4 of us. For $11, we each got a 3/4 of a fingerling potato. They were very good, but felt the serving size could be healthier. The deep well triple filtered water was not good. We ordered bottled water and beverages and had them take the water away. Maybe that's their strategy. For an entrée, I split the whole bird and 3 with my daughter. For the 3 sides, we went with roasted potatoes, mushrooms, and greens of the day which was broccolini. The potatoes were bland but the mushrooms were very good. The chicken had good flavor but the both thighs were underdone. We sent them back and we saw the waitress talk to the chef. He sent her back with the undercooked chicken and he told her to tell us it was safe to eat. She asked if we wanted them back and we said no. I was quite surprised and wished I did take them back to take a pic. This chicken was not pink like the pic of the legs I posted. These were red and the meat was gelatinous. Unacceptable. And while who we assumed was management walking around, he skipped our table. In their defense, I don't think he was ever made aware of our "concern." It was odd he skipped our table for a drive by though. For a place that is basically specializing in chicken, it was disappointing. I will say that the other two diners with us had chicken sandwiches and they were quite pleased. I don't think I'll be ready to go back for a few months. It was just poor form for the chef to send the waitress back to "share his message" - that should have been brought to management's attention by staff. Our server Natalie was great. Let me start off by saying I made reservations for a Friday night to celebrate my husband's birthday and a very long overdue date night. The earliest was 9pm, which is past my bedtime. I took it, given this place is 5 minutes from my house and we had a babysitter. I've read multiple gripes about the availability of parking- that wasn't a problem. We drove up right to a spot at the front door. We were greeted and quickly seated. First impression - cool concept- there are goods available to purchase, as if you walked into a specialty market....clean set up, nice vibe. It was busy, but not overly crowded (I'm guessing everyone else, like myself also has a bedtime before 9.) We ordered several things- the cheese plate - which we cleaned. Their cheeses as well as everything that comes out of their kitchen is sourced locally from Florida farms, which is appreciated. We enjoyed the cheese so much, we bought some to bring home. We ordered the mushroom flat bread. And, guess what? You could literally taste the mushrooms. Sounds silly, food elevates to a whole new level when you can actually taste the ingredients individually and cohesively. My husband got the steak entree, and got the daily local fish which was snapper. Both, literally fired to perfection. Perfectly cooked and evenly tempered throughout. You would have thought that beef was sous vide. It wasn't. We asked :) My snapper was also beautiful. Every component on these plates married well, and still shined on their own. Not many farm-to-table concepts around here, but we are glad we have one so close by. So, bravo to those fine folks behind the fire. We had dessert as well, we appreciated the concept of mason jar bites. Enough to tickle your palate, not too much to make you explode. We will be back to work our way thru the menu eventually. So I had been waiting awhile for this place to open since I drive by it all the time. They started out super busy and we made a reservation for earlier this month. Once we arrived, we still had to wait for around 10 minutes but chocked it up to only being open for about 2 weeks. The environment is wonderful. You walk in and there's a very small area that seems like a homey local grocery store or farmer's market. A various number of local producers are featured and sold here and I believe that some the ingredients on their menu come from some of these same local suppliers. Pretty neat and welcoming touch, I thought. We were called and seated later and ordered a couple cocktails and some cornbread bites with jalapenos in them. This was an excellent start to the evening. The cocktails were made well (although both a little sweeter than we had figured) and those cornbread bites were excellent. I wouldn't let them take the last one when out meals came out later. Those entries were ordered and we got the veggie tasting and the chili lime salmon dish. Both were astounding in flavor and presentation. The fish was cooked perfect and went so well with the succotash bed it was sitting in. The veggie dish was a great selection of different well-grilled vegetables and I couldn't stop going back to it. Lastly, we ordered a couple of the tarts for dessert because you gotta get a taste of each thing they do, right? We had the blueberry and lemon curd tart and the chai pear and tart cherry tart. They were small in size but packed a punch in flavor and ended up being a good sized treat for the end of the evening here. Overall, we truly enjoyed dining here and trying this new gem in Fruit Cove. The food was amazing and would come back just for that experience again. The wait for our reserved table was more than it should be and we ended up looking for our waiter more often than we normally expect when at the table, but again this is a new place and getting into a solid rhythm can take a little time. I've been avoiding this place since they opened, first because I wanted to let them work out the bugs as a new restaurant, and second because the menu seemed very limited. I realized once we arrived that part of the reason for a somewhat limited menu is that they are aligned with the farm to table movement, sourcing much of their food from local producers. Now that they have been open a while, it was time to check it out. We popped in without reservations a little after 5 on a Wednesday. Plenty of open tables, but they asked if we had a reservation. Most places don't ask if there's lots of available tables, and most people with reservations will tell you right up front. Then they asked if we would like to sit outside (it was 91 degrees out at the time). Of course we declined. First impression - not super positive. So we ordered drinks and the Southern Pecan Cornbread to start. I got a very good Old Fashioned with a pecan in it, and the cornbread was a standout (see pic). Thick, rich, buttery and flecked with pecans. The hot honey butter that came with it just elevated it further. Highly recommended. Now for the main menu - You basically get choices between fish/shrimp, chicken, and one beef dish. All cooked over a pecan wood fire. Our server said the "Today's Florida Fish" was Halibut. We love halibut, but it sure isn't a local Florida fish and at $52 we weren't going to take a chance. Our server admitted being as puzzled as we were about the origin of the halibut and didn't have any info on the source of the fish. So we settled for shrimp and grits, and the grilled half chicken. The shrimp were nicely grilled, the cheesy grits were a little soupy, there was something called a "zesty creolla sauce" which added some heat but didn't really add anything else, and some roasted okra on top as a garnish. Needless to say my partner enjoyed the shrimp, skipped the okra, and didn't finish the grits. The Pecan-fired grilled half bone-in Joyce Farms chicken, lemon rosemary jus, roasted potato,fresh corn & edamame succotash dish was decent. The chicken was nicely seasoned but not overly juicy. The rosemary jus was a nice touch and helped the flavor continue once you get past the crispy skin. Sides were very small new potatoes and a cold fresh corn / edamame succotash. Interesting and somewhat unusual. Overall, I would have to say that the bar is well run, and there is a wall of taps with pre-made in-house drinks, wines, and beer where you are able to serve yourself. The cornbread was impressive, but the main dishes were just ok. Perhaps we didn't make the best choices that show off what the kitchen is capable of. read more

Go ahead and make your reservation now! They just opened, and are quite popular for a good reason. Driving up, you'll find the primary parking is by way of complementary valet. They only had about four self parking spots. Walking in it has a cute vibe that was half café and half market. With glass cases for dessert and a little farm stand with a few vegetables for sale in the middle, they also had honeys and teas for sale around the perimeter of the entrance. The other half has a more traditional restaurant feeling, with indoor and outdoor seating plus a full service bar and tap wall with several different types of drinks. The food... The food was absolutely on. I had the cornbread, chicken lollies, and red snapper for dinner. I find it kind of funny, but I think my most favorite of the three were the chicken lollies. The glaze on them was amazing. Sweet. Spicy. Delicious. Best of all, memorable. I'm serious about the reservations though. Beautiful NEW restaurant along SR13N . Reservations a MUST! Valet parking (almost mandatory!) based on footprint. Great concept - Florida based products and produce for sale. Open kitchen and dessert case. There's a drive up window too (perhaps for future to-go). Server, Shelby welcoming and personable. Very patient as we asked questions! Food was unique and flavorful ... had to look up a couple of words in the description "tamarind" and "umami" ... lots of spices- many of which blended nicely with the plate. Huge bar. Wow.... absolutely WOW!!!!! I would give PCK 10 stars if I could. This is THE restaurant that Jacksonville has been waiting 10 years for!! It's like a well-rounded person who's gorgeous on the inside and out. The experience begins with the beautiful mural on the side of the restaurant, exquisite craftsmen style architecture, and the outdoor area with fun activities for kids & adults. There's only a few self parking spots, so if you get there too late you can only valet (so you're prepared to have cash for a tip). Once you enter the restaurant, you are introduced to a cute country store like an elevated Cracker Barrel. They offer fun items cups/mugs/tumblers/kitchen items, local honey, hot sauce, and fresh vegetables. Then there's the display case of delicious desserts! They have a decent sized bar but the piece de resistance is the arcade-like wall that dispenses wine, beer, spirits, etc. To get the drink, you must get a card from your server, scan it, and dispense your selected beverage. How fun! Now for the food... chef's kiss! Chef Pam who curated the entire menu stopped by our table and explained some of the dishes for us. The caesar salad has a protein based dressing and is one of the best caesar salads I've had in a while. The angel (deviled) eggs had many layers from a bed of red pepper pecan sauce to the bacon/ jalapeño toppings; the eggs did taste like it's been refrigerated for a tad too long, but slight imperfection. The chicken lollipop app had five hearty juicy legs that were delicious. We didn't have as much time since I had to pick up my son, but our server Raja was amazing and able to get us fed and out of there in a timely fashion! I had the opportunity to go with a group from my residential campus to PK for lunch. I'm realizing I can only have a few things on the menu because of my onion allergy, so I had what I had for dinner about three months ago: the mushroom flatbread. It was just as good as before--maybe even better because the crust was not at all overdone. I also had a bowl of very fresh fruit as a side. That was temporarily mislaid but our waitperson, Molly, found it for me. She was attentive! My dining companions had a variety of dishes. Two were The Chicken Pecan Deluxe sandwich and the Mushroom Power Bowl, which diners said they really liked. The desserts were a big hit! We browsed through the gift area, too! read more

After a Friday afternoon shopping haul a friend and I decided to stop into Pecan Craft Kitchen for happy hour. We wanted to have a few drinks & some appetizers. We arrived around 5 PM. The restaurant offers valet service which we did not take advantage of because there were plenty of spots. Upon walking in I saw a rather large retail area straight ahead. We were greeted by a hostess and told her we were going to the bar. We passed many booths and high top tables on our way. The bar area wraps around their outdoor space and is nice and light. The place is rustic but well appointed. I mentioned this because the restaurant as well as the clientele doesn't seem to know if it's upscale or casual. We were casually dressed, but I did see some people who were dressed up. This place looks more casual than dressy. However, once we receive menus, we saw the food is definitely priced way more upscale than it looks. I asked the bartender about happy hour specials and she told us there weren't any. That was strike one for me, almost every place I have been to has some sort of happy hour late afternoon early evening .My friend and I just wanted to sit and chitchat and relax. When I asked for a glass of wine that's when I started to get annoyed with the whole system. I was told I'd have to give my credit card to the bartender. Then once I give my credit card, she would give me a card, that I go up to the wall with and pick my beverage of either wine or beer. OK, so I couldn't relax and get a glass of wine served to me I had to go pour it myself. I took the card she gave me and went to the wall. I must say they have some nice selections of wine and I found a nice white I like. Note underneath the wall are different types of glasses mostly beer glasses. They do have stemless wine glasses, which are not my favorite, but I picked one up, tapped my card over one of my favorite wines, and started to pour. It shows you when you put your card in how much by the ounce wine you're getting plus the price well. I got about 2 ounces into the glass and then it shut off. After fooling with the machine for about five minutes thinking I was doing something wrong I so I went back to the bar to inquire what happened. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. I was told the wine was probably empty. So here I was at the bar with 2 ounces of wine in my glass that I have just paid about four dollars for. They said they were going to change the tap and I waited for about 15 minutes when I just gave up and went back and got a different wine. I found the whole experience quite annoying. if you don't mind serving yourself like you're in a cafeteria then you might enjoy this place. I like to go out and be served. The next thing is the menu entrées as I remember they anywhere from $30-$48. The appetizers which we were looking at really didn't thrill me. My friend and I decided on one of their flatbread pizzas to share with our drinks. The flat bread pizza we chose had cheese and vegetables on it. It was quite tasty and had a nice smoky flavor however, there was just a bit too much arugula on top disguising a little bit of toppings underneath. We ate our flatbread and had one drink totaling $40. with tip. I really wanted to like this place, but it was definitely a one and done for me. If you enjoy serving yourself like you're in a cafeteria for drinks this may be your place. read more

I have been wanting to come here for a while, so when my husband suggested a date night, we picked Pecan to try out. The parking is valet, so we parked away from the restaurant and walked over. It is a beautiful structure, with a mobile order pickup window, outdoor seating, and plenty of parking. We walked in and were greeted by the hostess, along with local goods for sale, and a stuffed dog and sheep. She walked us outside to the outdoor patio. There's a stage for music, outdoor games, tables and chairs, Adirondack chairs around tables and fire pits, and lots of fans to keep you cool during the summer. We were seated and handed menus. Our waitress came up next and explained the freshness of the food, the local produce, the beer and wine taps, and let us view the menus. My husband ordered the old fashioned and I chose to go to the wine tap. The wine tap is tricky, as it was hard to figure out how to pull the tap to fill the glass with wine. They have wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, beer, and sparkling wine. I chose the Willamette Valley Pinot noir. You have to pay attention when you fill the glass, as it fills up quickly and the price per ounce skyrockets. For 5 oz it was around $14. I went back to the table and ordered the filet. Within five minutes our food was served to us. The steak was tender, the asparagus was grilled but crispy, the tomatoes popped with flavor, and there were plenty of potatoes. I liked dipping my steak in the chimichurri dip or smearing it over the black garlic woosh. I told our waitress it was the best steak I had, and I learned they source the meat from Dakota Farms. We were full from dinner, so we did not order dessert, even though I know they make them daily from scratch. Overall, it was a great dinner, and we were happy to see such a nice restaurant in this area. We will be back for sure! read more

Really enjoyed the space. Loved the storefront, loved the wine tap concept, the outdoor area is welcoming and fun too. The food is great. I tried the salmon superfood bowl and it was phenomenal. My cousin got the Charleston, and I took the leftovers home it was so good. We got the corn bread and the angel eggs too. They were fine to me, my cousin loved them. The service was spectacular. They were so attentive, sweet, and definitely made us feel welcome. Would definitely visit again. I suggest a reservation unless you are getting there early. read more

The experience, from arrival to departure, was exceptional. The establishment's concept is commendable. Upon entering, the market grabs you immediately with great optiins from otger top chefs in the area, fresh vegies and a dessert case which captivates one's attention. Subsequently, a variety of seating options are available, including indoor, bar area, and outdoor patio area, each offering a distinct ambiance. Service was consistently excellent throughout. I opted for a seat at the bar, anticipating that other seating would be reserved. We began with a drink from the impressive wall selection and enjoyed a chicken BBQ flatbread. This is a cozy new spot in Fruit Cove with a great atmosphere and excellent service. The menu is eclectic and surprising. Food quality was high and prices were reasonable for the portions. What we ordered: - Jacked Up Cornbread Bites - huge portion - instead of "bites," there were five slices of pecan cornbread covered in pepper jack and sliced jalapeños and drizzled with hot honey. It all worked together somehow. - Pecan Deluxe sandwich with a side of blackeyed pea caviar; hubby said he'd order the sandwich again, but thought the caviar was a little one note as a cold side dish - Half Bird and Two with broccolini and superfood pearl pasta - the white meat was dry, thigh was delicious, and the drumstick looks overcooked (I ran out of room - this meal was huge). The pasta was also a cold side, and ok not great. Broccolini was fresh and not bitter. - We tried two desserts - the pecan pie and the banana pudding. Both were good, but we both preferred the pecan pie. - I also tried the Bar Pecan Old Fashioned and hubby had a craft soda. I liked my old fashioned wasn't overly sweet, and while we appreciated the craft sodas were natural, the orange flavor was quite lacking. Maybe another flavor would've been a better choice. What really stood out was how intent every staff member was at ensuring we had a good experience. From the nice valet out in the freezing weather to the hostesses to the servers and food runners, service was consistently excellent. Pacing was also great. The atmosphere was good - a touch noisy at times but certainly no more than other places when they are so busy. The menu, as I said, was surprising. I nearly ordered the shrimp and grits but was told the cheese grits were made with goat cheese and no butter or cream. They might be amazing but I wasn't feeling like taking a chance. Their flatbreads had a lot going on and seemed like they needed a bit of an edit, but I could be totally wrong. There are a few different things on the lunch menu that look promising. So much so, my family and I all agreed our goal is to try the whole menu (we are notorious for sticking to a single dish at places). Love the atmosphere and that they carry many different products supporting local businesses available to purchase in their market area. The food and drink options are unique and deliciously fresh. Our server Izzy was sweet and attentive. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that I was told 20 minutes to an hour wait for walk-ins on a random Tuesday afternoon and we ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes and was told by the hostess the second time I checked in that I was called twice (but no record of it on my call log). I give grace considering they are new and hopefully still working out the kinks. I definitely recommend reservations otherwise food, drinks, and atmosphere were very nice! read more
