I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. The ambiance is unreal. It feels like a place in Riverside or Avondale. The beer and wine wall is really cool and the prices for those drinks are amazing. We walked up to the restaurant and were impressed with the transformation of the building. We watched it getting rebuilt and finally tonight was the night to try it out. The entry looks like an entry/general store look... the dining area was homey yet progressive farmy... we started out with craft cocktails; bar pecan old fashion and I had the Thyme will tell. Very interesting . The menu was really interesting in that it offered dinners that were familiar but not loaded with carbs. We started out with the angel eggs ... awesome!My dish was the chili lime kvaroy arctic salmon . Outstanding! My husband had the Demkota Ranch Filet that literally melted in your mouth! Delicious. They had an interesting concept for drinks that you could order your drinks by the glass at the wall, or you could have the bar make them for you. I've seen that before in Winterpark. Finally made it to the new and modern Pecan Craft Kitchen that been building before me eyes for over a year! Initial impression is convenient location nearby neighborhoods and a great ambiance to it. Parking is crammed which I hoped for either valet or more parking for its size, so come early. Upon coming in I love there little market place and to go counter. Hostess and staff were absolutely amazing. Big shout out to our waitress NATALIE!! She was not only very friendly but also gave us great recommendations. Seating was open not to crammed. They have indoor, bar and out door patio seating. So plenty of space. HIGHLY recommend making reservation (OpenTable) as it gets booked quick! Inside has very nice colors, bright and to be honest very refreshing with all the plants. Don't be surprise if the bathroom smells better than your car lol. Took me by surprise! Very clean! Now on to the nitty gritty. Good was very delicious with a combination of healthy options and hearty but fresh choices as well. True farm to table without cutting corners. The BBQ chicken entree and Salmon Salad were absolutely top notch with all the flavors. Don't forget the appetizers I highly recommend the deviled eggs! Now if you want just cocktails and have a drink with your friends this is the place! All drinks are made with fresh made in house daily ingredients! Altogether, I think the owners have definitely have something here and don't forget they do have drafted cocktails, wines, and beer along the wall when you enter. From the moment we arrived to the amply lit parking lot with spacious parking places, we thought, Wow this place is great! The outdoor patio and seating area are warmly lit with yellow light and an open air "backyard" ambience and elegance. The interior is high ceilings, sprayed black and hidden by floating white wood acoustic ceiling panels/boards. The planters display greenery that is both pleasing to the eye and visually separating of seating spaces. The arrangement is designed for and welcoming of medium to large parties with the feeling of semi private tables and booths around the restaurant. The entry and receiving area double as a fresh market and souvenir purchase area with a dessert case. One of the coolest things they have is a wall of self serve beverages - of both alcoholic and mocktail nature, and a lower sugar soda stream fountain. All self-serve/pour and charges your card directly. Our party was celebrating a birthday and given an 8pm reservation (a kind favor since they just opened!) by the manager who personally came to greet us and welcome the party after we sat. We placed orders for cocktails and appetizers, sampling their favorites list. The Pecan Old Fashioned (smoked) was a hit, as was a mocktail (with a shot of vodka added!). The jalapeño cornbread with hot honey and the cheeseboard delighted and easily fed our party of 7. I noted the menu is mostly chicken and fish, but there are vegetarian, and one beef option. One in our party got the beef dish, one got the half chicken, one the vegetable sampler plate, one the salmon and the others tried each of chicken burgers. Sides are creative and healthy, including grilled mushrooms, honey carrots and succotash. No one complained! Every dish pleased! Furthermore, due to the dinner rush and their kitchen leads' belief we had waited too long, we were gifted a couple flatbreads- one meat and one veggie. Both were mouthwatering! Wow! Had the salmon over a Caesar.. spiced like I have never had. The salmon was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It had such a lifted flavor which is hard to describe. Unfortunately we were seated outside with the flies and sugar bugs that wandered into my wine. Guess if you like the heat of summer in Florida and having bugs share you dinner make sure you try to reserve an inside table. I was okay with going to their tap bar to obtain my own pour, but between finding an appropriate glass and trying to decide on your choice, there is only so much patience other patrons have with your lack of experience with their tab bar. We ordered the Bikini Martini and Pear Pressure and both drink were delicious. For appetizers we got the "jacked up" cornbread. My husband loved it but I like a sweater. We ordered the Charleston with sweet corn, edamame succotash and the Pecan fired salmon. Both were so fresh and flavor full. Pecan craft kitchen was one for the record books! It had it all ambience, a tap room, outside dining and a novelty store to buy eats and paraphenelia. Our first time here and it took us back to a cabin in the blue ridge mountains. Tables were spread about. There were high tops, low tops and then the booths. It was too early to sit outside but a nice day for it. I went off the recommendation of the waitress. I got the charleston sandwich on ciabatta bread. It was a mouth full of flavor and the sandwich was to die for. Wifey got the pecan cornbread with the 3 beans soup. It had some kick to it so I had to finish her soup for her. No dessert for me since I am always wanting cheese cake. There was none to have. Wifey had the banana pudding and it was wonderful surprise. We got there before the dinner crowd. From the very start of walking in, the "greeting" (after 10 minutes of waiting) was cold. The first thing out of the hostess's mouth was "do you have a reservation?" When the restaurant was nearly empty, it had just opened. Then comes our server. It took her 10 minutes to get three teas. We got the cornbread, it was fine. Our three entrees were all one note & one consistency (mushy) & SMOKEY (not in a good way). The Norwegian Salmon on my husband's Caesar Salad was raw (he ordered it to be cooked medium). But our server never bothered to checked on us to find out how our meal was or if we needed anything. If she had, my husband's Salmon could have been sent back. My son's BBQ chicken dish was over powered by the sauce used on the chicken & the pimento cheese was terrible. I got the mushroom dish and all I could taste was tomatoe chutney. It is a new restaurant just over the Julington Creek Bridge, on the right side. Being its new, it has been busy lunch and dinner! Their "talk" is everything is farm to table, locally sourced and that maybe true with the food but some of the products for sale it was not (other states). It's a big open space with lots of windows, cosy tables/booths, bar that spreads inside to outside area that has seating under a tree with yard games. I got a chicken sandwich called a Charleston and it had lots of pecan smoked meat on ciabatta roll with one side ($16) which I got corn succotash; which had a bite to it but so did the corn bread. Our server forgot to bring the dessert tray around but they were $4/8 for small sweets, some in little mason jars you can order in their market too. Our server also forgot to mention the card for the "do it yourself" drink station on back wall; maybe because it was lunch?!? It was a nice lunch and atmosphere. read more

A little upset with the service today. 3rd time going- brought 5 other guests and don't think they were thrilled. There was confusion over flat breads as appetizer or meal and it was small, little meat if any so guests were disappointed. I ordered a Caesar salad and fish and got shrimp. I went ahead and kept it. One guest ordered trout, they came to say they were out. It was very good but one of our bills was rather strange. Calculations on the receipt were way off (see photo) caught it just before paying, she was unsure why that happened. Service was not as good as usual, lovely gal, maybe new? We went to try this new restaurant as it's close to our house. What a gem!! Started with a Bar Pecan Old Fashion. This was a great drink served with craft ice. Walked around the restaurant and noticed the outdoor seating had heaters as well as corn hole. Great setup!! The bar looks is split between the inside and outside. Abby our server was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. We ordered DemKota Ranch Filet and Florida Pecan Fish. We asked Abby about if they had Mezcal and she said yes! She had the bar manager come to our table (Miles) he described what they had and his recommendation. Such a neat touch! I looked at the bar and adjacent to the bar was a rack of taps. This is where they have a variety of cocktails, wines and beers where consumers can get what they desire. We dined in on a weeknight. We checked a couple of weeks prior to our date but there weren't reservations available. When you pull into the parking lot there isn't clear signage about how the self parking versus valet works. As it turned out there were very few self park spaces all of which were full so we had to valet. We were told 20-60 minute wait which felt vague. We snagged seats at the bar and tried out the self pour taps for beer/wine in the meantime. They are situated on a wall with other guests seated at tables immediately adjacent to the space which made for tight spaces and limited standing room while you sampled. Our table was ready about 40 minutes into our wait time. We had to close our previous tabs before sitting which required waiting in line at the bar before sitting which was odd. For food we ordered the chicken lollies which were on the smaller side but tasty and the corn bread which was a little dry if not for the citrus butter. The fish was well cooked though expensive for the portion. The grits were good and very cheesy though the shrimp were few in number. The farm market veggie tasting was the largest dish in size. The mushrooms and potatoes were very good though the broccolini was still hard even when being cut with a knife. The tables are very narrow which made maneuvering with the plates challenging and when cashing out your self serve wine/beer is included in your total which you base your tip on even though you serve yourself. Kinda disappointed though. The place is clean in appearance, has good seating and a cheery atmosphere. The food however was expensive and disappointing. A cup of coffee is $4 with no refills offered. My wife had a cup of Pecan Fired Chicken Chili and when I say a cup it was closer to a half a cup. Good but $8. She also had a salad called Don't Call Me. Caesar, added a piece of salmon. Very little flavor and $34. I had the PK Burger. A chopped chicken patty on a brioche bun that was smothered with coleslaw. Very messy to handle. Used a knife and fork if it just broke into pieces. Very little flavor and a lot of work. $18. A couple of soft drinks and a miniature dessert, the bill came out $91.59 before tip. Our server was either new or distracted. Service suffered from it. The food itself was fine, but unfortunately the service left a really uncomfortable impression. Our server, Christina B., had a very cold and distant attitude from the start. Our drinks came late, and we had to ask for silverware after the food arrived. There was no explanation or communication -- she just seemed visibly annoyed the entire time, even though we barely asked for anything and finished quickly. The most confusing part was paying. Their card reader wasn't connecting, so she disappeared to the back and later returned with just the total on the machine. No explanation, no interaction, just told us to tap and walked away. We then had to go back ourselves to request a printed receipt. The person who brought the receipt (possibly a manager) was also very cold and unwelcoming. Nothing major "went wrong," but the overall experience felt uncomfortable and unfriendly, and we left feeling oddly unwelcome. read more

Been to Pecan Craft kitchen for both lunch and dinner and both are amazing! I love their pecan sandwich, lollies for an app and cornbread, their desserts are amazing as well! I love the tap wall where you can pick and pour your own beverage if you want as well as make a flight. The atmosphere is fun and we love to sit at the bar as well.
