Tried Peet's for the first time after Pilates with a few friends, and now I finally understand why people are loyal to this place. I ordered a chai, and it was honestly one of the better ones I've had -- smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Exactly what I wanted after a workout when you're in that "I earned this" mindset. The staff was friendly and patient while I figured out what to order (first-timer problems), and everything came out quickly. The space was clean, comfortable, and a nice spot to sit for a few minutes and catch our breath before heading back into real life responsibilities. It was one of those simple little stops that just felt easy -- good drink, good company, no stress -- which honestly goes a long way on a busy day. We really enjoy Peet's Coffee. The quality of coffee is top notch. That's why the service at this location surprised and disappointed us. I ordered an iced matcha frappe and my wife ordered a latte with an extra shot. My drink was ready well before my wife's latte, so I stood at the counter and waited for her latte to be prepared. A few other orders were completed as I continued to wait. Even though a couple of those orders were after ours, there was finally only one slip left so I knew it had to be the latter I was waiting for. I saw the preparer steam the milk, prepare the grounds, but no extra shot. Curious.... She called my name, placed the cup on the counter, so quite naturally I asked, " Is there an extra shot?" We decided we should cash in our gift cards that we'd been carrying around for some time now. We were having lunch at Nugget grocery store when we decided to get some coffee. We're pretty boring. Black coffee and a splash of half and half!! Peet's coffee was a nice experience. We were greeted with a smile. Our order came up quickly. The place was well maintained and clean. They had lots of nice coffee and related items for sale. They offer pastries and such, but we already ate. The parking lot is shared with other businesses. The furniture was comfortable. This location is right in the Nugget Grocery plaza. It's very convenient if you drive down Elk Grove blvd. Parking is always easy to find. I visited this coffee shop for the first time today and I really liked it and the vibe. There was adequate parking, conveniently located, the coffee shop looked appealing on the outside and they had patio seating with umbrellas, the inside was nicely decorated, the employees were friendly and patient,the service was very good, they had a nice sized ham & cheese sandwich which I ordered and loved!, my order with a cup of coffee was served quickly, there was quite a lot of seating for a relatively small place, the shop was very relaxing, the free WiFi worked well, and had lots of windows. read more

I had a lot of good things to say about Peets coffee in general but I would like to talk about the great service I have been getting at this particular Peets ever since they have opened this location, as soon as I walk in I get greeted regardless of how busy they are not only me but all of their customers. They are all very professional, kind and friendly staring from the manager Luchia I hope I'm writing her name correctly to Sammy and Lexi. Unfortunately I can't remember everyone's else's names but I appreciate all of them. I am also a business woman when I see good employees it makes me feel happy. I've dropped by at this Peet's location a few more times since I wrote my initial review and they've improved so I'm increasing my stars from 1 to 3. They might not have started at the right foot with training and suggestions from other Peet's locations but through their own experience, they've learned. Their drinks surely does taste better than before. I haven't had any issues so I haven't tested them on recreating my order yet, only time will tell. I like their corner location with more opportunity for light to shine in, two bar seating areas, and outdoor seats. There's plenty of parking and I can usually find one near the shop. Room for improvement: They're still placing their lids on the cup crease which sometimes causes some drips while drinking. Workers could still be friendlier as other locations. Tip: Always scan your Peet's App to accumulate points towards free drinks or beans. read more

The coffee drinks are made exceptionally well at this location. I usually order an oat milk latte. The temperature and flavor is warm and perfect. I'm a bit addicted to the holiday spice syrup during this season. It' has a very warm-spicy flavor. I order it half sweet and it's perfect for me who doesn't like super sweet drinks. When in Elk Grove, my boyfriend and I often stop at one of two Peet's Coffee Shops in the area.  Treating ourselves to a relaxing cup of coffee, flavored blend or seasonal specialty.     This coffee shop can get busy, but the baristas have the art of making coffee down to a science.  Taking your order and creating that perfect cup every time.  I usually get my non-fat mocha, while Joe K likes his hot coffee black with a shot of amaretto.  Along with our beverages, temptation came over us while gazing at the baked goods on display, and ended up sharing a slice of pumpkin bread and blueberry scone. They were OK, but seemed a bit dry. We always experience friendly, professional and efficient customer service. A nice, clean store with indoor or outdoor patio dining.  The stage is set to sit back and de-stress if only for a few minutes!     FYI: When you buy a pound of coffee, you get a cup of free hot coffee along with it! read more

The woman at the counter rolled her eyes when I asked a simple question about the menu and was noticeably rude the entire time. I tried to stay polite, but her attitude made the interaction uncomfortable. I understand that people have bad days and things happen, but it's not fair to take it out on customers. This review is more for the Too Good To Go service this store participates in. TL;DR do not get TGTG bags from this location! At least if you do, their pick up times will be wrong so when you get to the store, it'll be closed and the employees will literally slam the door in your face instead of hearing you out and snort at your misfortune situation of trying to save some food from waste all for it to be a huge waste of time. So save yourself the humiliation and avoid this store. I can't imagine their customer service being any better if I had been a regular customer. read more

I used to frequent the other Elk Grove Peets location before I started working from home. Now this location is a tiny bit closer to home and also a better parking lot with more space. I usually only come to Peets if there are new drinks or member deals. Today's visit was for both! This was my second time at this particular location. Unfortunately I always have issues with their app. It doesn't let you redeem things like $1 off drinks unless you order in person. Today, I tried to order ahead and kept getting an error after trying three times! We had to order in person once we arrived but luckily there was only one person ahead of us. They are set up with all of the COVID precautions here also. The outdoor tables seemed a little close together but maybe it just seemed crowded since every table was full. The inside of the shop has a clear path for ordering at the counter or picking up orders and clear guidelines for where to stand in line, 6 feet apart. Service is always friendly at Peets, I haven't had a bad experience. Today I tried their new strawberry vanilla cold brew. It was delicious! Perfect balance of coffee flavor and strawberry sweetness. Peet's is my favorite major chain coffee shop hands down. While not as ubiquitous as the 'bucks, they have always had a consistent focus on quality and service. I use to live within walking distance of this one and it became hard to to default to this coffee shop as they exemplified the service and quality I've come to expect. Out of the countless times I've visited, I've never had any order issues and the staff has always been very knowledgeable and good with their recommendations. Location for this Peet's also gives it extra points for being in a big parking lot that isn't too traffic heavy. Part of the issue is the Laguna one is not situated in the best parking lot and it is generally full due all the businesses. Generally, this is why I still find myself going to the Elk Grove Blvd Peet's even though Laguna is closer. read more

One of my favorite drinks at Peet's is a Chai Tea Latte. The one I ordered today was piping hot and tasted GREAT! Lexi helped me with my order. She was friendly and helpful. I had a question about one of the seasonal pumpkin drinks, and decided to go with my regular Chai. Once again, the Chai at this location did not disappoint! Another thing I liked about this place was how clean and organized everything was. The staff here were also really nice, and there were lots of good vibes! Not all coffee shops have that! Lol. I ordered a tropical berry lemonade shaker, which seems like a newer menu item and is pretty similar to the Starbucks strawberry acai refresher. For a large at $6, it was pretty pricey. It was refreshing and good for being a birthday drink, but I don't think I would pay that price for it again. Peet's requires face masks inside, there are markings on the floor to enforce social distancing for those waiting for their drinks. To the left side, there is an area to wait for your mobile order, and to the right, you can order in-person. I've noted in my previous review for the service for being consistently good. However, today was a bit odd for their service. I submitted my mobile order a few minutes before I actually walked into the door, since I was just down the street and on the way. I waited in the area that's designated for mobile orders, and I checked to make sure my drink wasn't in the mobile order area. It wasn't there, so I simply waited a few minutes. The person ahead of me picked up their drinks, and then I saw my drink being made. I was aware it was my drink, because there was just me and one person who just walked in after me. The barista who made my drink called my name and as I thanked her, she commented and pointed to the mobile order area, "Normally if you have a mobile order I would put it on that side, but since you're here I'll hand it to you here." And that was it, no "thank you" or "have a nice day." I was a bit taken aback at her comment because I did make an effort to look on the side for my drink, and I'm pretty sure she saw me do that after she had handed off the drink to the person ahead of me. I was just waiting there patiently for my drink and then she said that to me. Not sure what her comment really accomplished because I've done mobile order before and that just disappointing service that I received. read more

I have literally never been into Peet's. But I was looking for somewhere to study and get some work done. I drove past Peet's and decided I give it a try since they had a nice outside patio area. I am a big Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte drinker and since i have never been here before i figured it would be cool to try the drink at a new place. So first of all, its very clean inside and they do have a nice patio area outside, they offer wifi and comfortable furniture inside. I came in around 7 pm but they close early at 830. Emily helped me out, she was SUPER NICE! After i placed my order she told me that they don't have a vanilla chai tea latte on their menu but she can definitely try and just add vanilla to their cha latte. It actually turned out to be delicious. I'll be back here and now when im craving a iced vanilla chai, i have another place to my list to go to. read more
