Peet's Coffee is a good, local coffee chain. I like the fact that it's a lot smaller and quieter than bigger chains like Starbucks. I was upset to find out that they don't have a deal with Godiva anymore because I loved their Godiva dark chocolate freddo. Now, instead of the freddo, they have some new thing (I forgot the name) that's very similar. Their chocolate blended drink was good (I order this because I don't like coffee). I also noticed their menu is changing to act a little more like Starbucks and it is starting to feel more commercial than I remembered it was a few years ago. Great coffee but tuff location to maneuver to as it sits awkwardly in a small plaza. The front counter ladies extremely pleasant but the barista needs to learn a few more manners when putting finished coffee on the counter for customer pick up . She mumbled something like either my name or a city in China and was dismissive. You can get that anywhere. I hold Peets to a higher level of customer service. Very disappointed in Peet's Coffee. I waited for 3-4 minutes, a few times, before I was acknowledged. Each visit seems to be getting worse. The baristas are very very slow. I'm not sure what their priority is because customer service should be at the top of the list. I've stopped purchasing their beans and rarely go into the store. Pretty good place for coffee, and a great place for tea. The employees are usually very knowledgeable on the coffees and teas, and can guide you toward the right selection based on your preferences. Prices are a little high, but I guess it is what it is. Only complaint I have is the coffee they have already made in the carafes is sometimes on the sour side. Not my preference. Quick stop for some iced coffee. We used the check-in offer and got $1 off a caramel macchiato for the fiancé. But forgot to ask for soy, uh-oh! I got a large iced coffee with hazelnut and added 2 pumps of simple syrup. I prefer this over the sugar packets. Glad that it was just on the counter with the milk and cream so I didn't have to ask the barista for extra sweetener. I always feel like I'm being judged if I have to ask for more. read more

This Peet's Coffee and Tea is close to home. Not to mention, next door to one of my favorites places to eat... I Love Teriyaki. I grab some food and walk over to Peet's for a Double Chocolate Mocha Freddo. Delicious! I don't want to know how many calories are in there, but screw it! It's too good to pass up. The location is easy to get to, clean, super-friendly atmosphere. People know you and what you order. Doesn't matter what I order and when it's ordered, the taste is consistent. Some other places-- shall I say a coffee giant with a green circle and mermaid as a logo... the drinks I've had are inconsistent. I've ordered the same drink from different locations of this so-so coffee place. Each time was a different taste, same drink. At one point, I received a different drink altogether! So... Peet's in general, rate much higher in overall customer satisfaction in my book. Consistency is all a business has. Make a product and make it well--- consistently. A great place to meet a friend for coffee or tea. They have a few tables inside and out. There isn't overpowering music indoors. This Peets is O.K. I got up early to get some work done and I needed to stay in the Laguna area to have lunch with some friends at noon. And I figured it would be nice to explore another coffee shop. I ended up in Peet's after visiting the nearby Starbucks and Borders both of which were packed with early risers. Peet's provides free but limited wi-fi, tho i got cut off when I needed internet the most so that wasn't helpful. This shop is for those who want to meet up for coffee, not for students who want to stake out in a coffee shop for the day to get work done. The tables aren't large, the internet is limited, and the lighting is a bit dim. But I have to agree that the coffee is very strong, I still feel wired after drinking 6 ounces of their house coffee 5 hours ago. read more

The best part of Peet's Coffee & Tea is that they can custom tailor your drink, unlike the famous chain from Seattle. They can use whole milk, non fat, soy, whatever. you name it, they can do it. i use to love the green tea freddo. i think i got overloaded with it, so now... there's the caramel, or whatever fruit flavor they have posted. everything is pretty good. The coffee here is great paired with the wonderful customer service. Everyone is always friendly and open to conversation. As a regular, the drinks have stayed consistent in terms of taste and I've never really felt the need to say that my drink was made wrong, or anything negative of the sort. The coffee itself (I always get the Cold Brew Iced Coffee, Iced Latte, or recently, the Coconut Creme Latte) is always spot-on and I have no complaints whatsoever. Stop in from time to time for coffee & meetings. Love the aroma, the customer service is great, & it is a great place to get some work done when I need to get away. I tried their Vegan Almond chocolate bars & an iced coffee. The bar was surprisingly delicious. I don't typically eat Vegan foods but the person I was having a meeting with is Vegan & I section grab something to share. I would recommend it. I was going to try their javiva but decided against it. Went back at a later date & did try it. I really disliked it. I hope they bring back their Freddo. All in all, this is a great spot. Parking can be a challenge if you are one of those people that like to park close. There's a parking lot with lots of room past the leatherby's though. read more

I prefer Peet's over Starbucks any day, but it's not always an option. Staff at this location are always friendly and no matter how long the line gets, they get drinks out fairly quickly. Great service as Pete's is hallways a great cafe to go to when you just want to relax. wifi is free, however the catch is typically you need to ask the service person for the wifi login in, which is not the most convenient. It would be nice if receipts with wifi code are provided without question so patrons can choose to login or not. read more
