Wow, I've always had a nice experience at this location until today. What a disappointment! After receiving my iced coffee, I went to the condiments counter to add a sweetener and got yelled at for slipping a straw over my mask to taste it! I mean, there were no customers inside at the time (except my hubby), and the female barista yelled at me to get my mask up over my face! I was shocked and looked to see who she yelled at, then realized it was me! I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude ( in a nice way) and she chewed my head off with a long exhausting yelling of rules etc! Unbelievable. Then she yelled for me to " have a great day". I do understand rules, etc, but this conduct was totally out of control and the whole staff, including the manager just watched it all happen. I'm very disappointed that my complaint will just be dismissed like I was a trouble maker. read more

The location of this particular Peets is perfect. It definitely gives you the welcome to fall feeling. It's right down the street from Sacramento State University so if you have a lunch break and don't want the coffee on campus, this is an option for you. I enjoy coffee very much and I will say that the actual quality of the coffee here could be better. I'm surprised because Peets usually has some of the better coffee beans. I think the reason I feel entitled to critique about this is because I used to rave about the coffee here and at one point called it my favorite. However, today, Peets is very much similar to the quality of a starbucks (it kills me to say that). Much like starbucks, Peets is delicious, you go there for the mixed beverages and not the bean itself. They are offering a seasonal salted carmel rice crispy treat - delicious! I'm not usually a fan of rice crispy but this one won me over! You'll find that it's located in a nice little shopping center with sorts of little shops. Peets has an excellent amount of outdoor seating where we decided to sit because it looked so inviting. It was quiet and cozy outside and we had a great time. I rate this place 5 stars because the transaction is always pleasant here and the drinks are good. As I mentioned before, the coffee bean itself has become pretty generic tasting but if you're looking for a good cappuccino or lattee you can find one here. I will be back to enjoy some more of the awesome outdoor seating section and their salted carmel rice crispy with a warm coffee! read more

Coffee here is fantastic. Their house blend is that deep, chocolatey type of coffee - must have some South American or Central American beans in there. The staff is fantastic too! If you are a mocha person, you have to try the mochas here. They have this almost licorice-y taste to them - you won't get this from Starbucks. In addition to all of the inconveniences of space and acoustics, the place is disorganized. There is never a clear line. The staff serves whoever they make eye contact with, in whatever order. Some baristas are on it, but others are snotty and rude. Still others give customers way too much information about themselves in the 30 seconds of chit chat. If you are headed int he vicinity of another Peet's (even if you have to wait 10 minutes to get there) or another good coffee place, I'd recommend skipping this circus. read more

Never knew they had a peets here til i google where was the nearest one. . The signage is more vintage old, doesn't pop out, so i never knew even though i go across the street to temple coffee often. . This plaza is cute design like an neighborhood rich looking like boutiques holidayish spirit plaza during x mas. Bet its pretty at night time with the lights and etc. . So parking was ok, glad it wasnt busy but the parking lot is small and limited with a good amount of business and wells fargo in the same lot. . When i went into peets they had 2 registers to order which was confusing because i thought one side was for picking up only. But yea surprised how many people sat down inside studying reading a book, on their laptop, people watching, or just chilling. . I got y drink quick and went straight outside and chilled on the chairs and table. It was very relaxing and just enjoyed the view and people watch. Great peets to check out if your in the area. I love Peets hot coffee beverages, but their iced coffee is way too strong for me because they put crushed up coffee beans in the drink... Ick. Still a better hot beverage choice than Starbucks because they don't burn their espresso! Food- 4/5. Since it is October I wanted to try their Maple Latte because I love Maple! This location is the closest one to me, but a little out of the way. So I got up early, made the special trip, checked in, redeemed my check in offer, walked in, sold out. They were sold out of Maple Lattes already!!! :( Boo. Luckily I got their Caramel Latte which was still good, but not what I was craving! My only pet peeve about their coffee is that they give it to you without a lid on... Not sure why? Then you have to walk with a drink filled to the brim about 5 feet to the coffee station to try and put your own lid on which can get pretty perilous for me because I am super clumsy! I just wish they could give me a lid... Atmosphere- 4/5. I love this Peets inside! It is really cute and "homey" feeling with tons of windows and wood accents! Plenty of tables to sit at too. It just sucks they are located in such a busy shopping center! Allow AMPLE time for parking during the afternoons. Service- 4/5. Cashiers and Baristas are always friendly and nice! Peet's is definitely the best chain coffee house! Lattes still taste like coffee, not just sugar and milk. I also like to get the iced coffee and just add some honey and milk. They asked to see the order and it was not in her app, but she did send me a screen shot of it being removed in her account. They staff was kind to give me corporate's number, but it's disappointing that they didn't offer to make them or call corporate regarding that error since they be beverages were paid for. I have been to tupelo, temple, starbucks, insight on fair oaks, coffee garden, Boulevard Coffee Roasting Company, ect---but so far none of these coffee shop can compete to the lattes here on Fair Oaks Blvd! I mean, that little baby gives you a hint of coffee flavor on your tongue, attempting to trick you since you know you are eating chocolate. I can't think of a better trick to play on someone. The butter cream mounded on top ain't too shabby, either. It also comes with teeny, tiny chocolate bits sprinkled on top. It is lovely, black and white decadence served up just for you. Moist, too. This is one of the most efficient and friendlist Peets I've been to! The staff really get to know their customers by names and drinks. I really like their personal touch. I almost gave this place a five star rating but didn't because of the seating. The only problem is that when I want to hang out at a coffee shop, I want to be cozy. If I'm just there with a book or a pal, I'd rather go some place where my behind won't take a snooze from sitting on the hard wood. The actual stuff they serve though is pretty amazing. This is the stop I go after a morning workout because there isn't a better pick me up. Although I am a Starbucks frequenter, there is something about choosing a more simplistic place. Pete's is small but uniquely shaped with a round view of the street and an out door patio perfect for people watching. They have an eclectic mixture of coffee mugs and coffee accessories to buy as well. The taste is pretty good. I personally am not into blended coffee or "girly drinks". I like my coffee the way most should, in an I.V. With that said I recommend straight coffee. It's a better taste than Starbucks and is a little cheaper as well. If you have a cold, go for the peppermint tea. Add a little honey, and you'll be smiling in no time. read more

Great atmosphere when you walk in. The employees are very friendly as well. I love just relaxing here after a ride on my board and I usually just catch up on my emails here. The customers are also very friendly as well and is surrounded by a great community. I usually get a iced dirty chai at coffee shops and I'd have to say I'd rate the one here 3/5. This is the worst experience we have ever had. Baristas are super rude. The "manager" Kaitlyn is the most unprofessional, rude and condescending person we have ever met. She had the biggest attitude and extremely harsh demeanor as soon as we waked in. Such negative, aggressive and extremely disgusting attitude. We live in this area and this is our most frequent coffee shop we go to. This has been one of our favorite locations for years and we come here to support local business. But when we are treated with such disrespect and attitude for giving our business, just tells me to never come here again. I want this resolved ASAP. I enjoy coffee and it's a shame I can't go out for coffee more often but when I do I like going to Peet's. There was a stretch when I'd stop there before work and the staff was getting to know me. But then I realized I couldn't be stopping in for coffee so frequently. It was cutting into my gasoline money. That's a big boo. I find this spot to be cozy and inviting and I like the type of coffee-shop people who go there and work there, pleasant and friendly. Two entrances make it easy to drive in and out, or walk to and from. They have little tables set up outside and always a lot of newspapers to read. And, it actually smells like coffee in there! The coffee is smooth and fresh and I find you don't have to pour in a gallon of half & half and sugar. Seriously, it's 6 AM and I'm yelping, but when you receive excellent customer service, I believe it a disservice to not write something down. Peet's is not your drive-thru "wham bam thank you ma'am, here's your coffee get out of here." Type of place. They genuinely make you feel like you matter as a patron. Today I crawled in, knowing I just rolled out of bed and probably a site for sore eyes. No matter, the friendly Maria helped ease my discomfort with her positivity, and the vegan/wheat free (yes, that's right!) brownie samples she was putting out. She was super kind, and we connected on some quick conversation. Obviously I'll be back , (because- coffee) but especially because they're awesome people working at a great coffee bar. It had a texture similar to a smoothie, but not so thick; which was nice considering the warm weather. I was pleased to find this nice refreshing drink on their menu. My mouth was happy :D. I went there around 6:30 and it wasn't crowded so I was happy to find a clean table to sit and relax.
