Some of the staff are not very helpful. I had to stand and wait to get a respond after they were done talking to each other. There weren't any brown sugar available or any napkins at the self-serve counter. For the 2 hrs I spent there, one staff came and fill the station with cup sleeves but she did not recognize that there weren't any napkins, plain sugar or brown sugar available. Extremely rude service. My boyfriend and I went in last Saturday to try their new green tea latte and vanilla green tea latte. When our drinks were ready, they were both green so I asked which was which. She said something but I couldn't hear because it was so loud and echo-y. I said "what?" and she was extremely rude and yelled at me that the vanilla one was the brown cup. So I'm supposed to know how peets color-codes their drinks? No thank you--I'll stick with the mom and pop down the street... Or the crepevine... Or the Starbucks... Or even the Jamba Juice! People go into peets for the comfortable vibe--management should focus on hiring customer service to match its supposed culture. The coffee here is the best. You will NEVER get a stale cup of Joe, the cleanliness standards are almost 2x that of even the cleanest coffee shop I've ever been in /worked for, and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. They will even go out of their way to make sure that, should a customer order something made with soy/almond milk, they ask if whip is an allergen for them, if that drink comes with whip. That's pretty thorough customer service if you ask me. Not to mention the ridiculousy close proximity to the farmer's market that happens on Saturdays...SOLD! Walked in for a coffee and a bagel at Noah's. I live by Oakridge Mall, there's a Peet's coffee near by but I prefer to come to this one on Lincoln. My morning started of great, till I walked in here, I grabbed two coffees and realized there was no straws at the table, then remember "oh that's right the new California law". Whatever, I saw the straws behind the glass little wall where they make the coffee, super close for me to reach, so why bother the workers that are busy, right? I asked a lady that was standing there if she could excuse me so I could grab a straw and we started talking a little, told her "oh it's ok there's no straws on the table" she had said "sorry" for blocking me. Anyways, I noticed the worker was looking super crazy as I'm grabbing the straw, I ignored it. I started to walk out and she said "It's a new California law, you have to ask for straws" as she's looking at me with some crazy eyes. I stopped and replied, "I know that" I don't see what was the problem? I needed a straw so I grabbed one, I didn't ask to not bother them because they were working. You can never fail with Peet's. Their roast are deep and wonderful. They always have a new coffee to sample. I love that they have breakfast sandwiches now. I didn't like a new coffee they had they had me try a lighter version of it free. I was very surprised. Always great service. read more

As a regular coffee drinker and ex-barista of 8 years, I know when I get a good cup of coffee and if it was made correctly. Peets has always been one of my top coffee companies to go to get my local injection of hardcore caffeine. On this day my wife went into girly mode and got her hair done at the place down the street so I grabbed my laptop and headed over to Peets. This Peets is like most other Peets I've been to. Place was tidy and quiet, I came in during lunch time so it was very empty. The lady at the register gave me a warm smile and took my order no problem. I went with my usual cold drink "Medium Iced White Mocha, add shot, no whip" Drink came out perfect and thank god the barista knew how to mix the drink! As an ex-barista I'm very OCD about evenly mixing ingredients correctly (Unless its a drink meant not to be mixed like an "Undertow") But the barista did a fine job making sure the mocha, milk, and espresso was mixed evenly. Great little place, had no problem finding a seat. I sat in front of the large window watching people walk their dogs, construction workers maintaining the roads, business men talk about their latest projects, and teenagers enjoying the warm day with their friends. Willow Glen is a very relaxed and cheerful place, and I wouldn't mind coming back here to this Peet's for some good ole coffee. read more

I ordered one of my favorite drinks from this location, the havana cappuccino, and when I went to collect it from the open bar the cup felt empty, it was only filled a quarter ( foam milk included) . I have ordered this drink from San Jose, Pleasanton, and San Francisco Peet's on numerous occasions so when I commented to the barista who was working "something isn't right" (it even looked wrong) the response I received left me so frustrated and upset that I left the store because I knew with his attitude that there was no room to disagree. He said "no, that is how it is suppose to be", no room to ask why I had a concern or what can be done. I love Peets over Starbucks and if my friends ever mention going to this location again, you can bet we are not ordering if this barista is on the floor. I wish I had the patience to ask his name or for a manager but my disgust was too much at the time. He had short curly brunette hair, stood about 5 ft 2 in and a bit on the thick side. Great place to hang out with friends after a weekend run. The place doesn't have loud, pounding music. I'm actually able to hear what my friends are saying. Staff is great and friendly. They get the orders right! It can get a bit crowded but the atmosphere is pretty laid back. Both the coffee and tea are de-lish! Not too hot, and tasty! I have to update my review since I do feel they deserve it. They've had a few new employees lately and I've been giving them more of a try (on the days I'm too tired to treck over to Starbucks). I'm getting more and more used to what my drinks are here and I do like their food selection (not as extensive as starbucks but still decent). Love the chai, love the pastries, and love all the people who work there. After ten years living in WG, this is my go to place for friendly faces and great service. Occasionally there is a hectic morning, but they are few and far between. Laura always has a smile and remembers my cray "modified chai" order, as do the new people who come on. I arrived there first thing this morning as I needed an extra wake me up. Because yelp was offering a check in special of 1 dollar off a milk chocolate almond mocha I chose that as my selection to drink. I was not disappointed at all. I love this Peet's! Their coffee is much better than the competition's, dark and rich and delicious. Even though this location gets super busy in the mornings (expect to wait upwards of 10 minutes for your drink if there's a line), the employees are fast, friendly, and most of all they're an eclectic mix of interesting individuals. I frequent Pete's coffee multiple times in a week. So I was in today, Mandy assisted me at the cash register. She seemed a little abrupt. I bring my own up in and get a soy latte. Today it was much higher than it had been. I usually pay $3.40 but today was $4.60. I questioned the price and she had her own reasoning to justify how she charged me. I decided not to argue as I was in no mood to, but just feel that it's wrong. Not impressed with Mandy's service. Everyone else seems really nice, especially Christine. Christine has been at Pete's awhile now and is an asset to the Pete's team. For the most part service is great! read more

Peet's on Lincoln is a perfect compliment to Noah's Bagels next door on a Saturday or Sunday morning. My girlfriend and I often get a coffee or tea from Peet's in the morning, and the service and quality is always excellent. The staff is always friendly and fun (one even gave me a free tea one time), and the experience here is always better than Starbucks or Monsieur Beans down the street. read more

I was brought to this Peet's about a year ago, and am barely writing my review. :) I was a Starbucks girl(and still am since I work there), but once my bestfriend brought me here I had a Carmel Latte-Half Calf-w/3 Pumps and it was AMAZING! Service was a 3 star rating, only because it was right before closing and there was one working the register and orders and the other was cleaning the store, so not very much customer connection. The drink was 5 stars! Overall, it was a nice visit and all my visits after were just as good. And the Williow Glen strip walk down Lincoln is beautiful too. Especially if you have dogs! read more
