Ok, so yes I know Pei Wei is a chain and not always hitting the home run with food. That is why I think it's important you read this review. The service at this Pei Wei is legit simply excellent! Entire team greets each customer in a jovial way. They accommodated a few alterations with our dinner selections without a blink. Even made a suggestion in order to spice my dish. Really pleasant and positive experience. I spilled my water on the way to our table and the young lady told me at least 3 times that it was not a problem at all. Now to the food...we ate it ALL. My wife ordered Dan Dan noodles with tofu, her traditional. She ate all but about 3 bites. Tofu was done perfectly, great amount of sauce and no spice for her. I had the new menu item Thai Coconut Curry and added spice and cashews. Dynamite! Excellent spice level and the chicken was done perfectly, not tough as I've grown to expect. Haven't been to one in quite some time and I was pretty impressed by the Rastafarian chef cooking up the food. We had the spicy general Tao chicken with rice. Was a bit too spicy but my son loved it and it did open up the nostrils and appetite. I had the basil cashew chicken and noodles and that was great. Taking home balance for hubby. Had the boom boom shrimp appetizer and two chicken egg rolls. Everything was great and now I wish they kept one in Pinecrest. read more

My family and I have been Pei Wei fans since we moved to Miami because we used to live next to it. Affordable, good variety, nice kids menu with customization... But I've just ordered dinner and the Spicy Poke Bowl has just arrived TERRIBLE! Just attached a photo to see how bad the tuna is. The smell is awful and whole dish is not edible at all. I dare to say this is almost an attempt of food poisoning. Called the restaurant and the manager just offered a free meal next time. There's no next time after this. read more

Food is mediocre. Chef with the beard has 0 customer service skills giving customers an Attitude. He should stick to cooking instead of cursing very loudly and speaking to customers with an attitude. Someone should train him to be quiet and cook the food. Other chef kept eating food with his gloves on while working on other people's food. I miss the days when everyone would just be professional. Not my first time to Pei Wei but I did things a little differently. Arrived here with Tushar my vegetarian bud. He insisted I get the app so I can get points. Ok got it. I didn't get the free meal he did but that's ok I got 120 points (10 points for every dollar spent) and 1000 points to my next free meal and if anyone downloads the app with my code Frederic4935 I get another 100 points but don't go crazy....it's still a half mile from work to get here. I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles with tofu (hey gotta stay healthy) and a veg spring roll (not so healthy lol). Both were fresh and appetizing looking. I love this place but at the same time I highly dislike it. Yes, they are associated with P.F. Chang, but they are night and day apart. I have come here a few times, some friends and family like it, so I come along. But I only get a soup, or something super light. The reason why I don't have much love for Pei Wei is because it is a frozen dinner on a plate. If you go to any supermarket, you will find P.F. Chang's frozen dinners. If you cook one of these, it will not taste like P.F. Chang, but somewhat similar. On the other hand, it will taste exactly like Pei Wei. Using this rationale, Pei Wei is a frozen dinner on a plate. If you consider the price discrepancy, and size discrepancy, then you will also highly dislike Pei Wei. But, it is true, Pei Wei will feed you when there is nothing else around. It competes with other Asian restaurants, and it is cheaper, so why not eat there. I guess it is a niche situation that I am not willing to explore. I am not hating, I am just saying. read more

PeiWei has their niche. I'm sure you'll be able to tell right away that they care about their food. Their kitchen is visible, which is a bold move. I love it when restaurants do this, it's their way of saying "we've got nothing to hide". I honestly don't know how their restaurant doesn't stink with kitchen smells, their food exhaust doesn't let any odors creep into the restaurant. It's been too many the times where I'll walk into a restaurant and the restaurant leaves with me (because of its smell) but they don't have that issue. I've eaten here plenty of times, my experience has always been great and the food has always been delicious. They recently changed their food presentations, and I loved how it came out. Their food has not fallen in quality thru the years. I'm seriously wondering why I don't eat here more often. PeiWei! I pledge my allegiance to you! They have plenty of vegentarian, vegan, options. And my friend was on Keto and we just found out they have Cauliflower rice. So they're Keto friendly, and they're also Gluten Free friendly. Millennial paradise.
