I was in the area last week and this preggo was craving some chicken lettuce wraps and crab wontons (2 of my fav things from this place). My toddler hadn't been feeling well so I called in and ordered pick up. There were plenty of tables open as there weren't many people dining in. However they were quite busy with pick up orders. Long story short I waited at least 10 mins for my order but, since I was in a hurry, I didn't bother to check. I was sadly disappointed to later find out my chicken lettuce wraps had no lettuce (no way I can eat all that chicken alone) and the crab wontons didn't have dipping sauce (which definitely makes a difference for me). Had it not been for traffic hour I would have gone back, but that was out of the question. Therefore I decided to call and complaint. They were apologetic and offered a free chicken lettuce wrap on my next visit. That definitely made me feel better because, quite honestly, I was pretty bothered. Giving this 4 stars because I do like their food and this establishment is new and well kept. And although this particular experience wasn't what I expected, they at least made up for it. I call Pei Wei the fast food of Chinese dining. All that's missing is a drive-thru service. Their food is decent and fairly priced. You have plenty of options from appetizers to entrees. You order at the counter and then find your way to a lovely booth or table. The server will bring you your food but drinks are self service. On this last trip, I ordered the Dan Dan. it's a bowl of minced chicken over noodles and cucumbers. I asked for extra spice but I found it to be not spicy at all. We also tried the tuna rolls which were tiny but good. Crab wontons, were perfectly fried and the dipping sauce was sweet but the flavor was a little fishy for my taste. we also had the sweet and sour chicken that a was a bit chewy and rice was stale. I come here almost 3x per week cause its close by work. I also take my staff here for lunch once in while and eat-in when we get an hour break. Service is always pretty swift and the prices are very reasonable. Often times we opt for extra meat when we order the original size entrees. Its $1.99 more but its worth it...dining in. However, take-out orders tend to be inconsistent. Several times when I picked up our take-out order w/ extra meat, the portions were way smaller compared to when we dine in. I know this because I take pictures of almost any food we eat on a daily basis (for review purposes of course :) On my last visit, I decided it was time to speak to the manager about this issue cause its really disappointing to come back to work excited and finding out the food portions were way smaller than what we paid for. We don't mind paying extra for either food or service....all we ask for is consistency. The manager was kind enough to explain to me that there's a glitch in their process because each cook tend to size the entree differently...I guess it depends whoever is scheduled that day? I told the manager about our food experience when we eat-in compared to when we get take-out. Hopefully he would investigate further and find a resolution. He also took my take-out back and had them re-done...now the portions looked correct. There were about 4 of us who regularly ordered food at this place 3x a week. We stopped getting lunch here because we were afraid of another disappointment. We will give it another shot someday. read more

I came to get lunch for me and my kids during my lunch break. I ordered my food at 11:10 and I didn't get my order until 12:10 passed my lunch break. So the manager on duty took a last minute catering order that should have been a 24 hour notice order and pushed back all the walk-in and online orders. Because customers started complaining, the manager said aloud that you can go to another restaurant if you don't like the service here. I finally received my food. I haven't been to Pei Wei in awhile. I used to frequent it often prior to the pandemic. It here were some changes made like now they have a self serve kiosk you can use to order food in house or take out. They also have a new dish that's reminiscent of Cajun Grill's Bourbon chicken dish. They did their own take on it and it's what I ordered. What I appreciated the most was the time that the manager Julio took to address me. There wasn't anyone at the counter and as soon as he saw me waiting there, he immediately addressed me and informed me that I could use the self service counter. He also quickly finished up preparing an order at the expo counter and assisted me after. He apologized profusely for what to him I guess felt like an eternity for me to wait and for me for like two minutes which wasn't long though I appreciated he keen and hasty he was in attending to me. I didn't order anything to drink and my order was prepared relatively fast. It's individuals and managers like that who actually take pride in what they do and genuinely care about the customers' experience that will go far and achieve great things within organizations. Edited. I have received the refund. I ordered Kung pow chicken with no peanuts and no carrots. When I got home a half hour drive, I might add I opened my food, and it looked like there was extra carrots and add peanuts. A call to the store. The prices are around 7 to $14 and it's very reasonably priced. I order the Ahí Avocado Poke Salad thats was bigger than expected and tasted great but they added to much dressing, So I recommend ordering the sauce in the side. My wife orders the Small chicken teriyaki and it was still a lot of food to be a small and also very delicious. The place is clean and the staff took care of us. Ordered online for pick up. Pick up time was 7:49pm I got there on time and was in no rush. After 15 min passed the order pick up time I asked them where the food was. For a worker to tell me that they had my meat portion ready and they ran out of white rice. I proceeded to ask, I have been here for 15 min past the pick up time and now you decide to tell me there is no white rice. This is the fast food version of PF Changs since it's from the same owner. I will say the only thing I'm not too crazy about this location is the parking. The location where it's at has grown since other establishments have been added and parking can be a bit of a pain at times. Ah Pei Wei. I'm sad. This is my first bad experience with you guys on 37th :( I ordered the orange chicken with brown rice on DoorDash and had my boyfriend pick it up. When I got it, the rice to chicken ratio was waaaaay off. I also added broccoli and there were maybe 5 pieces of broccoli.
