I tried last time the pencil thick Sushi Roll topped with card board shrimps, only to spit it out. I could have done much better and fresher at Tom Thumb or Kroger. They took away the only few dishes that were good, to replace them with these bad frozen TV dinner reheated food. I don't come to this location a lot. We use to be big fans of Pei Wei, but this location, the food just tastes different. I am not sure if they use a different sauce or just cook it a bit differently. Over all it's the same as any other Pei Wei in design and lay out. This past visit me and a friend ordered by phone and were told it was a 30 minutes wait to pick up the food. That was kind of odd because when we got there to pick up the order, it was not packed out. But it could have been when we placed the order. Just is not ideal for fast, to go, orders. read more

This Pei Wei location has to be one of the best I've ever been - also one of the busiest which makes it that much more impressive. I have been for lunch and dinner on several occasions and whether there is no one in line or a line out the door, the service and food are both always on point. The one time I felt that my dish was underprepared, management rectified the situation. I got a fresh (hot!) Kung Pao Chicken almost immediately and gift cards for a future visit! The higiene of the place is questionable. Found a plate of eaten orange peels next to the ice tea station. The floors and tables feel sticky and look dirty. The food lacks vegetables and the sauces for honey seared and the orange chicken are super sweet since they changed the menu a couple of years ago. I am traveling to Dallas on business and staying in a local hotel. I need dinner, I come to Yelp as always and look for something close and fast and I find this location. I read the reviews so I went in with pretty low expectations. Here is the good: I have no idea what people are speaking of about poor or long service. I didnt order online, I went in the middle of the rush dinner hours and I walked right up and was able to order. The gentleman who helped me was very friendly, I even ordered a cookie and a girl behind the station gets me a fresh baked one out of the oven. Even though there is a lot of people, I grab a chair and sit down expecting a really long wait. In less than 5 minutes I had my food, I was asked if I wanted chop sticks, plastic utensils, soy sauce or fortune cookies. Wonderful service that goes against a lot of the negative reviews I read here. I was literally in and out in less than 10 minutes when the place was totally packed. It was great. Here is the not so good: I have never eaten at this chain before. Another review and called it a mini PF Changs and I will have to disagree. The food simply isn't on par with anything from a PF Changs. To me, this was fast food and for the price was pretty much the same as a Panda Express (for those of you that know that chain). I ordered the Thai Dynamite with crispy chicken and brown rice and a bowl of Thai Wonton Soup. The soup was pretty good, a little bland for me and the Thai Dynamite was hot spicy at all (and I ordered extra spicy). Also, the crispy chicken was not crispy. For what its worth its not bad. I came in on the evening of 4/19 with a to-go order for one person. 1.When I got there I asked for a large fountain drink. After searching for a lid, I'm told they are out of lids. That's crazy and since I'm to-go I cannot drive with an open container like that, so I ask for a refund. Maybe let us know before we buy the fountain drink that there are no lids? Manager has to do the refund, but manager Mike had to be asked THREE times by his servers to do my refund, and that was only after I practically yelled at the poor girl. 2. Manager Mike needs to stop hiring high school girls. One is crying while another consoles her, one is texting on her phone, and there is no sense of urgency for the people waiting in line. Mike never asks for them to get back to work or focus on what they are doing. 3. My dan dan noodles barely had any sauce on them so I asked for an extra cup of sauce on the side. Again, had to wait and wait for my side and after getting upset, the girl-texting-on-her-phone's response was "we are still waiting on that?" Food is fine, just like any other pei wei. Tried to call in order today and called 3 different time letting phone ring at least 40-50 times. Finally did online order then drove to restaurant to pick up. Gotta say though that they always seem to have some problem with their website and/or their mobile app. So Friday 11/3 we decided to not go out and we would do Pei Wei. Tried several times to connect via my ipad to their app site, no good came of it...so I picked my big butt up off the couch and went into our office and fired up the laptop and went to their website. I order weekly from location for take out online. This is the second time in a row I ordered a salad and was presented with no dressing. This time The spring roll I ordered was also not included. Not acceptable for a $40 plus order. Insult to injury, I decided to call back to politely complain (usually I am very tolerant and rarely complain). I placed an order online and it was delivered by a third-party. When I got my order, it was incorrect. I ordered the honey seared chicken, with vegetables but when I got my order the chicken was missing. I called the store and was informed by an employee as well as the manager that they could not redo my order and send it to me. I have been sick in bed all day with no food to eat and this very unfortunate and unappreciated situation occurs. I am LIVID and will never patronize your establishment again! When I spoke to the manager she apologized and basically stated it's my fault that my order was incorrect. She stated this happens often while placing orders online. She said when ordering the honey seared chicken, do not select vegetables because it replaces the protein and removes the chicken . Well first of all, how am I supposed to know that? I absolutely love Pei-Wei. The food is fast, always fresh, and cheap! You can still get your favorites like the hot and soup (yummmmoooo) along with your meal and not worry about breaking the bank! The mongolian chicken is my fav! I really like how quickly you can get in and out of this place. You make your order upon entering the building, seat yourself, and someone brings out your food to you. Oh, and big plus is the big drink selection! Pretty good, I ordered my usual the ginger broccoli and got what I ordered quickly. I highly suggest this restaurant if your looking for a quick meal. The downside was that the sauce that is usually on it was replaced by another sauce. The sauce tastes more like ginger now and is more tangy.
