I ordered from Door Dash last week and part of my order wasn't delivered. I called Pei Wei and told them that I hadn't received half my order. I expected the manager, Tammy, to offer me a credit or to refund the meal. I was ready to be upset at having nothing to eat, but Tammy instead offered to personally deliver the food to me. This location was just okay. My Ahi Avocado Salad was mostlythe worst parts of romaine lettuce with a couple leaves of spring mix. It was lacking flavor and just wasn't satisfying. I am told that the Mongolian chicken and honey burbon chicken was good however. We also had a bit of a long wait for our food compared to what we normally wait at other locations. I ordered the Pei Wei Original, gluten free and mild. It wasn't spicy at all. It comes with sweet and sour sauce. It didn't have any sweetness to it. I ate a little more than half before I couldn't take any more vinegar. I wish I could have eaten more, but I got a little heart burn. The vegetables were cooked just right al dente, except a few pieces of scallions. The white rice was soft. The white chicken was hot, tender and a little crispy on the outside. Great flavor. With the delicious Vanilla Dr. Pepper drink it was less than $15. It's worth it considering the plate was very large and there's free refills and fortune cookies. I do eat here on occasion. When it gets warmer I find sitting outside has been a good experience. The service was good. Remember to leave a cash tip! Their machine doesn't have a line on the receipt for it. Enjoy!! read more

For quick Asian stir-fry this isn't a bad place to stop in. They've just included Quinoa to substitute for rice. The mango "sushi" rolls they offer look nothing like the picture, they resemble the grocery store rolls at Randall's so I would skip the rolls. Having only been to a Pei Wei only twice I can't say I'm a regular customer or a big fan. The chicken teriyaki is great and the kids size bowl eliminates the seeds and veggies. It's an order at the counter concept and pour your own drink kind of place. The service and the staff here is super friendly and helpful. The dining area was clean although the chairs look like they've been banged up a bit. Overall an okay place to stop in if you don't feel like cooking. read more

We had a bad experience several years ago at Pei Wei, and have been avoiding 'em ever since. Recently, hungry on a rainy night, we found ourselves craving something Asian, and decided to give this Woodlands-area location a try. I'm glad we did. Pei Wei is the fast service chain with the same ownership as PF Chang's and Fleming's steakhouse, and the family resemblance shows. The setting is slightly upscale and polished, think of an Asian-influenced Cafe Express. Service was friendly. The food surprised me as being better than average. I tried the Pad Thai, and it was one of the better renditions I'd enjoyed recently; a nice mix of sweet and tangy, and not the cloying sweetness found at some Americanized Thai restaurants (cough, Nit Noi, cough, cough.) The portion was big, and I asked for a "to go" container. What came back was a classic folded Chinese restaurant takeout box; a nice touch. I'm glad we gave Pei Wei another chance. read more

This location has gone downhill unfortunately. The food did not taste fresh, almost like it was reheated and a bit stale. The tea was bitter and the spring rolls were dripping in grease and just tasted like it was microwaved. Overall the establishment was clean but just not feel comfortable. What do you get when you mix asian fusion with fast food? You will have to visit this establishment to see for yourself. Good- The Mongolian Beef, with mushrooms and scallions is where it's at! I am not ashamed to admit, but it's the only thing I really go there for, along with a side of spring rolls. I am sure that they have many other tasty treats, but we don't go here often enough for me to want anything else. This dish is consistently good and I have tried duplicating it at home, but I don't think I get my pans hot enough - quick enough to get the proper searing of the beef. The portions are so large, you can share them with a friend or take them home for lunch the next day. I like places where a twofer is guaranteed. Bad- Don't go in there expecting it to be cheap food. It's expensive fast food, but definitely better than most scary Asian buffets where you are wondering what's really in the dish. I do wonder how much sodium is used in Pei Wei's sauces. I say this because my rings are always difficult to get off after eating here. This may be a concern for some people who are trying to manage their nutrition better. You may have them go easy or on the side with the sauces and stick with the brown rice. They get super slammed at lunch and early evening, but you usually don't have to wait too long. Ugly- Nothing to report. I love sneaking in there when visiting the Woodlands. It's quick and yummy. Perfect for a busy week night. You know I really, REALLY hate to write a poor review but when the service and the lack of leadership management is so horrible, I feel obligated to let people know what to expect. Expect that the persons taking orders are clueless about how to operate the cash register and about the menu in general. Expect that the manager will be either fixing the problem with your order on the cash register or cooking instead of managing, because he has not managed and trained the staff well enough to do their jobs independently of him. Expect that when you get your order you will be lacking in napkins condiments and in fact the order will not be correct with regard to the food items you have paid for. However, despite the food, which was edible and decent, the service was terrible. In my to-go, they forgot my soup and any type of utensils. So good thing I checked my order when I got into my car before driving off. When I walked back in, it took my soup about 15 mins to cook. I almost always get lettuce wraps as my meal here. They were good, the same as they always were. My disappointment comes with this specific location and the fact that both drink machines were out of several drinks I was trying to get. Not ones, not two, but three completely different ones. I love the Tuesaday $5 Teriyaki rice bowl. For $5 you get so much. If you haven't sign up for the rewards you're missing out. I really like how much flavor the food has and taste so fresh and good. I'd take this place over your regular Chinese take out. I also love their Mandarin Green Tea, not sweeten so you're able to add your own sugar for taste. I just add the orange slices in mine and all the sugar I need is in the fruit. So go ahead and give it a try. The employees here are always so nice and in great mood. Food is usually fast and always tasty. This time I purchased food Togo. The only real thing I disliked this time was one of the Togo employees. I had an order that I simply wanted to modify. I had a small entree, and I wanted to change the size from a small to large. Does that seem to hard for a employee to tell another employee to make the portion bigger? She looked at me in annoyance and said"well they are already making it" then I stated, "can they not add a portion more?.." she then rolled her eyes and simply nodded her head and looked away. I have loved Pei Wei for many years. However this location needs a serious deep clean. There was a very obvious black hair in the oranges for tea, the tables were sticky and all condiments look like they have not been wiped down in days. Soup was served with a dirty bowel. This makes it difficult to enjoy food as if what I am seeing in public areas, how dirty are the food prep areas? Recommendation to management, please stop, do a deep clean of the restaurant before someone gets sick. read more
