Love coming here because the owners take pride in the quality of the food, and the experience. It's a traditional fast food Chinese restaurant that has prepared food ready to take, but will also prepare food while you wait if they don't have the one you like. Their chow mein is amazing! Also, a True family owned business... Wife works the front, and the husband cooks. They also play Christian music in the restaurant, which I love. Definitely worth checking out when in the mood for quick, but delicious Chinese food. read more

First time here. Boy with long hair helped me. I asked him what comes in the wonton soup. He stared at me stupid and just said wontons... I then asked him about their online menu and he responded he's just a minimum wage cashier and has nothing to do with the website. Basically refused to answer my questions and said he's a cashier and will only perform cashier duties. I told him that's a great attitude and he said minimum wage minimum effort. This place used to be a solid go-to for Chinese food but it's a shadow of its former self. Make sure you avoid the gentleman who can't speak English. He doesn't understand nor speak so I had to settle for a half of a thigh as my teriyaki chicken order. I only ordered a one-item with teriyaki because ALL of the other items appeared as if they'd been sitting out there since lunchtime. I asked if there were going to be any fresh items placed out there, but I'm sure you can imagine how that went. For a fast food outlet I was surprised by the tasty dishes. Fed myself and 2 hungry boys for a great price. Chearfull decor.. Quite nice to eat in. This place is one of those hole in the walls that everyone needs to know about. Quality is good and service is super friendly and attentive. The kung pao chicken and the chow mein is an amazing combo along with a bottled coke. Price is super affordable in this economy which I love. The poor young lady behind the counter was very nice BUT didn't speak a word of English. Red Flag......when we got in line there were two ladies in front of us who were returning a order they had just picked up saying that they were not coming back. Clean and comfortable buffet style place but with freshly prepped meals depending on your order. Their combos are an incredible price. Went with a hungry friend (ex college lineman) and had the idea to order 2, two choice combos. Rice and chow mein and 4 items for 20 bucks! He took some home! May have been due to the crean cheese wontons we had as an appie. They were delicious. Highly reccomend for value, quality and a surprising range of choice for a small outlet. read more

Not so good... My husband picked up dinner from here, our first experience with this restaurant. He waited a very long time because for some reason, even during dinner hours, they had nothing prepared. Now, on a normal basis, I wouldn't complain about waiting for fresh food, but it looked and tasted old, and wasn't good at all. The "orange chicken " was a dark red, bloody looking, mushy pile, that was extremely sweet and it was hard to find any chicken amongst the mushy batter that it is cooked in. The kung pao chicken was a bit unrecognizable as well, and had an old taste to it also. I don't remember what my husband ordered, but he threw everything away except the chowmein, saying that's all that tasted okay. Needless to say, we will not return here. read more

It's rare that you DON'T come across murder-Chinese in this part of Riverside. Actually, it's rare that you don't come across murder-anything here. Peking Express is the only place I haven't tried on Arlington from Madison to Tyler...that's a decent stretch if you're not familiar. I've always been skeptical of the place, especially since I never see more than two people eating at this place during lunch. Today I decided to push my fears aside and make the trek to Peking. I wasn't expecting authentic, I was expecting Panda Express, and those expectations were definitely met. I can't remember the last time I had Sweet & Sour Chicken, so that seemed like a logical choice for entree #1, entree #2 was a side of their mixed vegetables. Add a heaping side of steamed white rice and a fountain drink (Coca-Cola), and you've got yourself an average meal for an above average $8. I realize that the price directly correlates to soaring commodities prices, continued tensions in North Africa, and Donald Trump throwing his hat in the Presidential Race, but come on! Can I get a buck or two off for being the only customer in here? The best aspect of the entire experience is that I didn't regret it 30 minutes later. I very rarely write a negative review-that being said, I used to eat here pretty frequently- the food was fresh and tasty. I had not eaten there in probably two to three years but today I was shopping next door and it sounded good. When I went in, it seemed different. There wasn't a lot of food prepared and what was there looked very unappetizing. Against my better judgment I decided to order. I am allergic to chili and so I asked if the orange chicken (more red than orange) was spicy AT ALL. I was assured by the young man behind the counter that it was not spicy at all. So I said I would have that. When he stirred it to dish some up there was a red chili pepper. I expressed concern because I am allergic and he told me it really wasn't spicy and that the chili was PLASTIC. That should have scared me off right there. But no, I didn't want to be "rude" so I opted for broccoli beef instead. Mistake! There was hardly any beef- what was there was pretty tough and the broccoli was barely cooked- still extremely crunchy - bordering on raw. I also ordered a chicken egg roll which surprisingly was quite good. However, the young man asked if my order was for here or to go- I told him "to go." I took my bag- paid my $12 + and headed home. When I arrived at home and got ready to eat there was NO SOY SAUCE, NO SWEET AMD SOUR for the egg roll and no fortune cookie (all things I have always received at other Chinese restaurants of a similar type) I will not be back. Apparently there has been a change of ownership. Hopefully, the new owners will start looking at some of these reviews and step up their game. I ordered a one item meal. I had the veggies and chow mein only. I fell in love with their chow mein! Their veggies were very tender!! The veggies had some sort of broth--not sure if it's just water--but, it had great flavor! I actually mixed in the veggie broth with my chow mein to give it some more flavor. I wanted to try the chef's shrimp special but was in a rush! I bet I was not going to be disappointed! Customer service was excellent!
