I had two repairs made. Water feature grouting and a new cartridge filter installed. The team that did the grout repairs made quick work of the project. The grouting looks great and they cleaned up very well when the job was done. Trevor installed my new cartridge filter. His final product was neatly done. He did a nice job explaining to me how to operate and maintain. I worked with Drew in the office - he responded promptly to my requests. From my initial contact to job completion was only a few days. My twenty one year old sand filter was failing, after a bad experience with another pool company I searched Yelp for a trustworthy pool company. Pelican Pools was highly rated on Yelp. After speaking with them we decided to remove the sand filter and replace it with a more user friendly and efficient cartridge filter. Trevor, the technician from Pelican Pools was amazingly efficient. He removed the sand filter, added new plumbing and the cartridge filter. He is a professional with an excellent skill set. We used them while back for a repair based on some of the good reviews here. They didn't fix the problem and ended up damaging something else which they didn't tell us (my husband just happened to notice the issue). They never came back to fix it. The lack of professionalism, communication and not taking ownership on their mistake are the reasons I would not recommend them. read more

Eric came quickly to the house and was great to explain my current pool condition and what it would need to get the water back into condition. I was impressed with the explanation and the companies business model and later we decided to resurface and retile the pool. The pebble tech team completed their step in record time but did not skimp on manpower and quality. I had bad experience with Pelican, the guy who did the leak test did not put my A&A Low Pro correct after the job. no wafer come out from some pop ups. it took me a while to figure out. also they did not provide me with test report which I paid $480. I have an old plaster style play pool that has never been in great shape since purchasing the home in 2018 but I've put off the financial burden for as long a I could. Over the years both the plaster and pool deck have progressively gotten worse with patches, rust spots, deck cracks, etc so I decided it's time to finally have it redone. I had several companies come out to put a bid on the project, of which Pelican Pools was one. Both of the owners, Eric and Drew, came out to take a look and walk through everything that I was looking to do. Right from the start I could tell that these folks were great people, and knew what they were talking about. They were extremely friendly, easy to talk to, made recommendations, took the extra time to listen to what I had to say, answered all of my questions, were communicative and actually explained things to me. This is my first home and I don't know a whole lot about pools but I especially don't know anything about remodeling one, so this whole process is pretty daunting. Ultimately, I decided to go with another company purely based on finances, but I'm actually bummed I'm not using them. Obviously I can't speak to the workmanship/outcome because of this, but I wish I could give them praises there too. I got a sense of comfort, knowledge and reliability from these folks which is often hard to find, and very important, when you're trusting strangers with your home, money, and time. I spent a good amount of time looking at different options, read a ton of reviews and Pelican stood out to me. I'm surprised that there are a couple 1 star reviews for them but those, at least to me, just look like disgruntled people trying to make themselves feel better... some people just can't be pleased. I'd urge anyone to overlook those and at least have these guys come out to give you a quote on your project to see for yourself. Had I gone with these guys, I have no doubt that they'd have done a killer job and will definitely be keeping them in mind for any future work that I need done. Drew was straight forward with me when I called for a quote on my green, swamp-like, pool in a new home that I moved into with my family. We hired Pelican to replace a Jendy valve on our pool pump system after another company was unable to do the repair. Pelican provided an accurate estimate and completed the job in a very timely manner. The tech ' Trevor was extremely friendly and was able to explain why the problem existed in-the first place.
