Having had these in various and sundry locations virtually all my life, I can attest this one was dynamite. Literally overflowing with meat, just the right amount od cheese (wiz might have been better, but provolone was fine)...beautifully grilled onions, mushrooms (not in Philly usually..but my call here), spicy peppers on a soft roll. Fresh cut fries...akin to In & Out....very tasty. (Optional cheese dip...not for me.....but maybe during another visit. My wife had the grilled veggie....and let me taste it. Wow! The food is fine. A bit pricey. It's the smell. They have those big exhaust fans, you can feel the air rush in when the door opens. It's sucking sewer gas into the dining room because of the negative air pressure when the door is closed. Both visits across 3 years. I'll try again in 3 more to see if they fixed it. read more

I am so sad about the service. First of all, this was my first time ordering online. I am a teacher, and my husband was going to pickup the order for me and bring it to my school. As soon as I placed my order at 10:30, the email said my subs would be ready asap, which was around 10:40. Originally, there was no option on the website to set a pick up time. My husband was going to be there at 11:15. I looked up the local number, and tried to call to let them know that I didn't need the subs made until closer to 11:15, but it was shown to be a non-working number. Then I did another search and found another number for that location, but it also was a non working number. When my husband brought my delivery, he told me how disappointed he was in the service of the employee working there. My husband asked if the employee could warm up the subs again, because they were prepared "asap", instead of offering me a pick up time. My husband feared they would be cold when he brought them to me. The employee, Dallace, pointed to the sticker on the outside of the bag, insinuating that we could heat them up when we got them (which is not the case), but he did nothing to help. He responded in a disrespectful way, and my husband was so frustrated when he left. There was no reminder from Dallace for my husband to take the lemonade, so we got no drinks. 2 lemonades were over $7.00, so I am very disappointed. I would like a refund. read more

We were in the area taking a class and stopped in at lunchtime. I had the cheesesteak and my coworker had the Italian. Both sandwiches were delicious, the bread was perfect. Who doesn't love a good Philly cheesesteak? While this location may not be right in cool springs, it is quite convenient for me, personally. Every time I go in to pick up andonline order it is always ready and waiting on me. The workers seem to be quite pleasant and very helpful. I can note they actually put napkins in the bag, which is quite necessary for a cheesesteak but something many restaurants forget about at times. read more

While visiting from Texas, we happened to see Penn Station East Coast Subs on the south side of downtown Franklin. Firstly, I'll admit the name got my attention mainly because the best subs (or hoagies, as some folks in the Northeast call them) I have ever eaten have been in Pennsylvania. I was truly hoping the meat would be freshly sliced before being placed on the bread. Much to our delight, it was sliced and weighed right in front of us. Then the ingredients are piled upon them. We ordered five subs online and they were promptly prepared and ready on time. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with mayo, mushrooms, provolone, and grilled onions. They were really good. Delicious as a matter of fact. My wife ordered the Italian sub which she also really liked. The kids ordered a Philly, and a teriyaki. We were all very pleased with the overall taste of our subs. Even thought we ordered for takeout, but the time we ate them 15 minutes later, they were still piping hot. IMO, these were much better than the pre-measured, run-of-the-mill, franchise sub sandwiches that are all over the country. Bottom line - Really delicious subs that were freshly sliced like a real deli should do it. Really fresh meat and piping hot. If we lived closer, we would eat here often. Can't say I've ever had a better sandwich. Staff was friendly and helpful. The tables were clean and the windows provide tons of light. We began at the tables outside, but the sun got a little warm. The AC inside was welcome. I got the 9" Dagwood (grilled) on wheat bread with Hard salami & corned beef, provolone cheese, tomatoes, pickles, banana peppers, lettuce (basically no onions), oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and oregano. Fantastic. I kept the peppers cold for contrast and crunch, everything was hot. Good choice. The fries are fresh cut and done in peanut oil. Excellent. My special needs son was with me and the owner kindly offered him a complimentary cookie. I don't expect this every time, anywhere, which is what made it so special. I'll be back. I ordered a chicken parm to-go which is usually great. They didn't put the sauce on it which makes the whole sandwich. I called and let them know to see what they could do to fix it, they said they could remake it then but the reason I got it to go was because I was going to work. First, I absolutely hate having to leave anyone a bad review, just hoping it will prompt the restaurant to do better. The medium Philly cheesesteak was missing...the cheese! Isn't cheese in the name? My wife even looked for any sign of cheese because she wasn't believing me! It was delivered by Doordash, so it's not like I was there and checked it before I left. I had provalone cheese in my refrigerator and put on a slice, zapped it in the microwave and ate the sub. Was not enjoying the taste of the sub! The fries were a tab overdone too. My daughter said she got one there in the past and it was greasy, not sure which one she got? The opening weekend was great, because of all the corporate reps in the store, but it has taken a nose dive since. I ordered a sandwich with "extra lettuce" and, it has next to no lettuce on it. Great sub and amazing fries. It was also very clean. You could tell we weren't the only ones enjoying it with how many people were there.

My wife just sat waiting for two sandwiches for 45 minutes. It seemed like they were receiving quite a few online orders while she was there but it was not busy inside. Two families that arrived 10-15 minutes after her received their food before she got ours. After getting home with our orders; they were both wrong. So, not only did the cashier have the attitude of someone who should probably be working at McDonald's or just not with the public, she wasn't even capable of placing a simple order of two sandwiches correctly. We live 3 minutes down the road, but we could've driven 15 minutes down the road to firehouse or anywhere else and made it back before penn station even started our sandwiches. Was 5th in line when we walked in at 11am on a Sunday. The operation is completely disorganized. My family had to wait 45 minutes for 3 sandwiches. NOT ACCEPTABLE! By the time I left there were 15 customers sitting in the restaurant and nobody had any food. Everybody in there was looking at each other like what the heck is going on. Complete waste of time. By the time we received our order the hot sandwich we ordered was completely cold. Don't even bother with this place unless you want overpriced subs and feel like waiting forever for your food.
