While driving up to Palm Springs for a weekend getaway the oil light came on my Audi. Knowing you can't just fill it up with any standard oil and not wanting to deal with the Audi Dealership I found Performance Plus via Yelp and called to see if they carried the oil I needed, and they told me to come on over. Now no one wants to deal with this stuff while on vacation, but the owner Tony made this little inconvenience as pleasant as possible. While there I had some minor buffing done to my bumper that I had wanted to get fixed for ever and the price was cheaper and the quality of the work better than anywhere I had been before. Instead of waiting around, we walked over to breakfast nearby and when we returned the car was clean, my oil was filled, and that ugly scratch on my bumper was gone! I took my late model car in for a simple oil change and car wash to test the waters here knowing that I needed to find a good mechanic in the desert to deal with some minor wear and tear issues with my classic car. The staff here were accomadating and insistent on taking me back to the the lift to observe and overlook and show every little detail in person that the mechanic discovered... Eric was honest, very experienced and advised me as to what warranted the priority repairs and to what could just wait a bit. This is such comforting expertise from a master mechanic because who can afford all work done at same time. I used to cringe going to auto shops almost as much dentists! I had my car detailed here. First, I won this detailing in a auction to raise money for kids to go to camp. Which means they care about the youth in their community enough to GIVE away this service and still do an incredible job! And I was amazed at the result! I have 3 kids 5 and under, and we eat in the car a lot, so it was pretty awful. It looks practically new! I don't think it looked this good when I bought it. The paint and trim is totally restored, no more water or sun spots. The carpet was black and is now it's original color. The leather seats are a completely different color, I thought they were dark tan, they're actually a very light tan haha who knew!? I'm very very impressed. I have been using this shop since I moved to the dessert a year ago. I have always been very pleased by the service and the repair work. The prices are competitive and often cheaper (and certainly less expensive than the dealer) and they do the work based on the recommendations of the manufacturer. They use parts that they have had the best experience with rather than trying to "upsell" something you don't need. They are very friendly and they remember my name when I return. And the best little perk is having a clean shiny car after the service. Would highly recommend for their honesty and integrity as well ad their customer service. I've yelped Tony before, but worthy of another. Bottom line is I bring my Murano in and know the price is fair particularly compared to dealers (a major mistake). Last fall when I was in the wipers he installed didn't last but a couple of months. I didn't bring the car back until summer and he still honered replacing them for free. I brought my car in for an oil change. The prices are fair and inexpensive (compared to other shops). The wait was a bit long but it was worth it because they ended up calling to inform me that I needed a new air filter, which I would have never know about. Which is nice. Replacement for a new air filter was a low price as well, again compared to most shops. I've been to other shops where they tried charging me $60 for a 2007 Dodge Caliber. At the end of my service they brought other things to my attention and were so nice with providing additional information to me, since I don't know much about cars. Typically I feel like shops try to take advantage, but the receptionist was so sweet and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning here for my oil changes and any other work that I need to have done on my vehicle. read more

Total Honesty and Quality of Service First time at this garage. Both Tony and Beth made me feel like Family. Tony insisted that I take a look at what the problems were and explained in great detail the plus and minus of doing the repairs. I had been putting off taking my truck in ever since my check engine light came on...I didn't want to face how much I could possibly get ripped off. After reading other reviews, I finally decided to call and when I asked how much it would be to have it looked at, Tony told me just to bring it in free of charge. I brought it in later in the day and I was shocked at how friendly everyone was! The girls in front are awesome and they kept offering to take me to watch them look at my car. What other place would even let you do that? After finding out that it was a simple fix (my gas tank was registering a leak from an old gas cap), I walked out without a bill and a sense of accomplishment for finding this place.
