I went here on a Thursday night and it was relatively super busy! As a result we got our food a little later than expected but it was delicious and 100% worth the wait! There was a good mix of pickups and dine-in orders and it seemed they were not staffed adequately to handle the volume. Nevertheless, once we got it, the food was delicious and I can't wait to return maybe on a less busy day.

Love the garlic noodles with five spice chicken, great flavor combination. I add imperial rolls for appetizer to share. Ordered delivery and meal of : "five-spice chicken with garlic noodles", "five-spice chicken with vermicelli", Imperial rolls, Shrimp spring rolls. Meals came with sauces for dipping. Shrimp Spring rolls -fresh Imperial Rolls -crispy "Five-Spice Chicken" - tasty was nicely prepared. Garlic Noodles - my favorite! Overall I find the dishes delicious, I only remove a star because they entrees and imperial rolls are very greasy. Will continue to order from Perilla. Enjoy!

A Vietnamese place that does the job if you're craving pho! Ordered a classic beef brisket pho and finished it in less than 10 minutes. I surprise myself lol Thought the portion size was slightly small and slightly pricey for pho ~$22 including tax and tip. The sunset location is better too, but gotta make do when there's not many options in the area!

This is one of the good or decent place to eat if you're in the area. Or after your tattoo session at Idle Hand (the best tattoo shop in the city, Holly Ellis you are amazing) few yards away. I had the chicken and garlic noodle which I quite enjoyed and for the price I thought it was a pretty good value. Service was kind, I was welcomed and treated warmly. Ambiance was basic neighborhood eatery where you can come as you are as often as possible (as long you pay of course).

Sigh. I eat from here a bunch as it is right by my house, and generally call in a pickup order. I made the unfortunate decision tonight to veer away from my normal orders and also ate in house. I got the Curry Chicken Garlic Noodles, which are apparently a completely different format from all the other garlic noodle dishes. The noodles were in a curry sauce, completely obfuscating the normal garlic and butter flavors. Additionally, the chicken in this dish was in huge chunks that didn't have a kiss of the grill. Overall, the dish was gigantic but really monotonous and bland mushy noodles. From the dine in perspective, the amount of couriers mobbing the place makes it chaotic to both order and even sit, I know this is a problem with gig delivery in general, but they need to wrangle it into the corner better and probably adjust their fire times in the system. I will definitely be back and hopefully will upgrade this to three stars when I get my normal 5 spice chicken garlic noodle order in house.

I decided to come to Perilla because it was only 10 minutes away from my place and I loved the food there. The five spice chicken with garlic noodles has to be one of my favorite dishes. The service was very friendly here and the ambiance of the place was good too. I highly recommended this place. I give them 5 stars

Small, order at the counter establishment that also has indoor seating. The five spice chicken is best fresh while it still has that crispy skin. Garlic noodles were oily and aromatic, just the way I like it. Wish they were more generous with their sides of broccoli!

The amount of times I've had delicious food from Perilla is countless. It's a spot that keeps reeling you back in for a happy comfort meal. The pho, garlic noodles, and rolls are made to perfection. The portion sizes are very big. Service is super friendly and quick. Personally, I wish they had tripe but that's not everyone's favourite. The garlic noodles with the crispy chicken skin is the best dish but be warned it's a bit heavy and oily.

This place is a great casual spot for Vietnamese food if you're ordering out or even eating at the restaurant. I ordered the imperial rolls and garlic noodles with five spice chicken. The imperial rolls were really crunchy and the filling was so flavorful. It had a perfect fried flavor! If I went again, I'd want to try the vermicelli with the imperial rolls. The garlic noodles were delicious (you can't really go wrong with garlic noodles though). The five spice chicken was also very tender and has great flavor.

Here for my usual: Prawns Vermicelli. The best. I like to order in person, & got to chatting with the cashier who explained that DoorDash takes 25% off the top! Wow.

The portions were great and the food was amazing. The egg was a little overcooked, but other than that everything was good.

I really enjoyed the fresh rolls! They're super simple, with just "silver noodles, bean sprouts, lettuce, and mint" + choice of protein wrapped in rice paper. When I ordered, I asked for light noodles and extra mint -- and they were perfect! The Garlic Noodles are also fantastic with a perfect texture. On the other hand, I thought the Imperial Rolls and the papaya salad were kind of bland and boring. I've been here twice, and the first time the beef was really good and flavorful, but the second time it was tough and bland. They have a steady stream of customers/Dashers picking up food, which I view as a good sign!

"IT'S QUE VIET!"…read more No Superman here, but let me be your hero for a second because I'm about to put you on to, hands down, **the best Vietnamese food I've ever had**. I actually discovered Que Viet through DoorDash and had everything delivered. I ordered the Deep-Fried Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), Grilled Chicken & Chicken Imperial Roll Garlic Noodles (Mi Top Ga Nuong Cha Gio Ga), Grilled Pork Sausage Rolls (Nem Cuon), Vietnamese Shrimp Mini Crepes (Banh Xeo Tom), and the Grilled Pork Sausage & Sliced Pork Woven Vermicelli (Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong). Yes... I spent almost **$100 for two people**. Looking back at the receipt, I had to ask myself, *"Is this place expensive, or am I just fat?"* Honestly... probably a little of both. Either way, it was one of the best $100 I've ever spent. If it's your first time ordering from Que Viet, do yourself a favor and get the **garlic noodles**. I know garlic noodles are everywhere these days, but these completely changed my expectations. They were perfectly cooked with an incredible bounce, packed with rich garlicky flavor, and the portion size was generous enough for leftovers (if you have the self-control). I also tried the **Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong** for the first time, and it did not disappoint. One heads-up, though: it's generously topped with crushed peanuts. My friend has a peanut allergy, so thankfully we caught it before digging in. If you have any nut allergies, be sure to mention it when ordering. Every single dish arrived fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it had just come out of the kitchen despite being delivered. That's not something you can say about many places. If you ever find yourself in the city, you **need** to make a stop at Que Viet. This place has been living rent-free in my head ever since, and I already know I'll be back the next chance I get.

We wanted to give this place a try considering it looked like a high end Vietnamese restaurant. Keep in mind, that parking is very tough so make sure to come ahead of time to find parking or uber/lyft. Items on the menu priced are on the higher end so keep that in mind. Some photos of the items ordered are missing from a little distraction. We ordered a lot for family style and this is what we experienced... Bo Tai Chanh 4.5/5 It was nice and refreshing. Loved the crunch of the pickled onions and the extra added flavors of the fried shallots and garlic. Great starter and we enjoyed it. Banh Khot Caviar 3/5 The inside was a little undercooked for me. It was still wet and pasty but the exterior was crispy . I couldn't really taste the caviar. The shrimp was cooked nicely. Blue Fin Tuna Tartare 4/5 Very refreshing and nicely seasoned. Tuna was fresh and tender that it gently melts in your mouth with a nice initial chew. Banh Cuon 4/5 It was good but we wished there was more considering how much it was. Nuoc mam was delicious. Bo Luc Lac 4.5/5 This was an absolute banger. Beef was super tender with no struggle of a bite. Savory and delicious with slight sweetness from the tiny onions that melts with every bite. Potatoes cooked perfectly. Chinese Long Beans 4/5 Simple and delicious. We ordered it so we'd have some greens and fiber for a balance dinner. Lemon Grass Grilled Wings 4.5/5 Flavorful sauce, well balanced and the wings were juicy on the inside. It had a nice concentrated smokiness from the grilled marks. Great choice but wish there were more. Crab Fried Rice 3.5/5 This was good but it was too fishy the more you bite into it. It was too pungent and strong that it overwhelmed the dish. Was thinking it could be from the masago. Drinks 5/5 The cocktails are great and refreshing here. Our favorite was the Banh Bo Gimlet. Service 5/5 Staff are friendly and helpful. Also attentive to us as well. Ambience 5/5 Love the decoration and aesthetics of the restaurant. Coming back from Vietnam it feels like I somehow teleported back in an instant. We had a good experience overall even though a couple dishes didn't meet our expectations. Definitely try everything when you're visiting, but I highly recommend Bo Tai Chanh and Bo Luc Lac. Those two are what stood out to me. I'll definitely come back but on special occasions or if there's another sapphire reserve benefit since it's a little difficult to justify pricing for items on the menu.

Some dishes were better prepared than others, but overall, the food was solid across the board. If you enjoy making your own spring rolls, you'll love the grilled pork skewers. The pork is super tender and has such a incredible flavor profile of lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, and more. Rolled up with the woven vermicelli noodles and fried wonton crisps in a rice paper, you get a wonderful combination of texture in a single bite. The other crowd favorite of the night was the bánh xèo -- the stuffed rice crepe. The bánh xèo here is by far the best one that I've ever had, even surpassing ones I had in Vietnam. The outside was insanely crispy and and was surprisingly not particularly oily, while the inside was loaded with fillings. Two other dishes that were well received by the group was the betel leaf wrapped grilled beef and the sugar cane shrimp. The beef had a very similar flavor profile as the pork, but the texture was a lot more lean. The shrimp had a bouncy, yet firm texture to it, and was very well-seasoned. My only qualm with the shrimp dish is that the sugarcane did not actually have any sweetness to it. There's fish sauce on the table along with a shrimp paste sauce, but to be honest, every dish we had was so flavorful on its own, the sauces aren't even needed. The only dish that we ordered that fell short was the grilled river shrimp. The presentation of the shrimp is impressive and very photogenic, but the flavor was lacking and the cook was inconsistent. Some people had shrimp that was undercooked -- borderline raw, and on the other end of the spectrum, others had shrimp that was so overcooked, that it was very difficult to remove the shrimp from the shell without completely tearing the meat. That said, everything else we ordered was well-prepared, and very tasty. Service was good throughout the meal, and I would definitely come back again for a meal with a large group. 4.5 experience rounding up to a 5.

Service, at least upstairs in the large but rather austere room, was done by a very direct waitress who seemed to be either used to culling tourists, or was being very direct about the menu, possibly both? We were essentially told to order garlic noodles, crab, beef, veggies, and not much else. Now to be fair those dishes were all good to excellent, particularly the crab and the garlic noodles, with friends absolutely raving about both. Seafood fried rice was good as well, although portions (aside from the crab) were not large, so expect to order more dishes than you might expect. The overall meal was very tasty, the physical vibe worked, but the menu felt more limited than expected, and combined with the terrible parking in the area, it didn't feel like the exceptional meal that was hyped.
