Went for brunch last Sunday with my family and a friend of us! Nothing really stood out, but it's a nice place close to Embarcadero for taking a walk after the brunch! It's also good they have a kids menu.

Solid meal, great staff, easy parking/transit drink BART or Muni, relaxed ambience. This was a perfect meeting place for friends on a Sunday night as I live in SF but friends live in East Bay. Everything was great. All their other sandwiches and salads looked great. I didn't see any other main entrees ordered. Would recommend- this is an easy crowd pleaser place for families or picky eaters.

I was in SF on a short trip. I thought I would give this place a try. I give the food 5 out of 5. I ordered the pot roast with mashed and brocolli w/ carrots. And the cornbread was sweet and tasty. I would have given 5 stars but service was really slow. I took over 25 minutes to have someone bring me water and take my order. Once the order was taken my food came out pretty fast but it just took so long for someone to take my order. I thought they forgot about me. I will be dining there again on future trips, because I really liked my meal. The ambiance of the place was also pleasant.

Beautiful views, great service and good drinks. It's a more affordable place to dine around the area and the outside seating section faces the bridge. Definitely give it a try.

After a carby lunch in Union Square and a 10k step walk around the area, a college buddy and I decided to grab....more carbs at Perry's. This time around it would be beers. The Dodgers were in town and the joint was filled with a few fans. My animosity toward the team from SoCal has waned over the decades. Yet, I still wanted to yell at fans, "Take off that hat!!!!". Just kidding. On the upside it was a classy joint and the service was good. Plus, the beers were cold. What more could a couple of old, ugly guys ask for. A tip of the cap to our server who quickly cleaned up a spilled beer when my buddy accident knocked over his half-filled pint glass. Add bonus, the server refilled the glass free-of-charge. Was that heaven or what? I think I found a new watering hole in the City. Perry's made us merry. Now for the pic.

Perry's was a nice respite by the embarcadero, but there's not much else around, and their prices reflect that. Simply, it underwhelmed. I got a Manhattan, and a cheese quesadilla, while The Wife had the Mac and cheese and grilled artichoke. All of it tasted fine. But for the money, we could have had something more substantial and enjoyable somewhere else, and should have looked around a bit more. It's a heck of a setting though.

Perry's on the Embarcadero is a waterfront extension of the original Perry's, which opened in 1969 on Union Street in San Francisco. Founded by Perry Butler, it aimed to bring the feel of New York's East Side bars and grills to the city. The Embarcadero location at 155 Steuart Street opened in November 2008 and offers classic American dishes. The setting features exposed brick walls and views of the Bay Bridge. As I mentioned in my original review a few years ago, this location is conveniently situated near my workplace, making it an ideal option for lunch, after-work drinks with friends and colleagues, or special occasions like farewell parties for departing coworkers. On this occasion, we gathered to bid farewell to a retiring colleague. We were set up at a great spot in the corner on Steuart Street that accommodated about thirty of us. We enjoyed a beer or two along with some delicious small bites. The service was excellent, as it always is at Perry's, and we all had a wonderful time. If you're looking to catch a game, I recommend sitting at the bar. There are a couple of large TVs that provide a good viewing experience, and the bartenders are always attentive, ensuring great service. On nice days, you might prefer sitting outside on the Embarcadero side. Otherwise, the dining area has plenty of comfortable tables that can accommodate groups of two to four people, and larger groups can make reservations in advance. The food is consistently good and made with fresh ingredients. I have always enjoyed my lunches at the bar while watching live soccer matches on TV.

Grilled Artichoke - I didn't eat this but my other lunch companion said it was ok.

Been here a few times. Most recently had lunch here with my former boss & colleagues. We enjoyed some standard American fare, great conversation and glad for an opportunity to catch up here. The food itself is kinda mid but the location is good. Right near the water. Also easy access to BART for folks living in the East Bay. Service was decent. Located on Steuart between Mission & Howard.

The service was amazing by SEAN! He makes the best drinks, and they also look as beautiful as his bubbly personality! Perfect spot to come to after a giants game with the fans

First time visiting. Lucky we found parting on the street. Made reservations but wasn't full. After we ordered our food it started getting packed. Service was great! Old fashioned was ok. Potato skins were great. Food was good. Our food took awhile it came out nice and hot. Restaurant was very nice. Spacious and nice bar. Warning bathroom is downstairs and I didn't see an elevator in case stairs are your enemy like me. I had to go down slowly. Check it out. Views are beautiful.

I made reservations a couple months back for our first dinner in SF. Although it's a casual place, based on my research, it seemed like a popular neighborhood and tourist spot and I knew after driving up from OC we didn't want to wait to eat on a busy Friday evening. Upon arrival, it didn't seem too crowded. Busy but there were still plenty of open tables and spots at the bar. I initially requested patio seating but my husband and son didn't want to be outside as it was slightly balmy. We were seated close to the windows instead to enjoy the view of the Bay Bridge. We ordered the following: - French Onion Soup: very good. Nice and cheesy, could use maybe some more bread underneath but it was solid. - Buffalo Wings: these come sauced and were really tasty! Still had a nice crunch and bite to it even though they were very saucy. - Fish & Chips: great batter on the fish, which was very meaty and flaky. Standard fries, forgettable coleslaw (does anyone even eat the coleslaw?) - Chicken BLTA: husband said this was fine. Tastes as expected! - Kids' Chicken Tenders: not sure if these are the same tenders on the regular menu but my son ate it all up and had no complaints. - Apple Brown Betty: this was a cinnamon apple crumble pie w/ vanilla ice cream on top. Very rich and delicious! - Strawberry Cake: this was literally the same cake you can get at Ralph's/Safeway, etc. They must all get it from the same supplier! Still good but def not made in-house. Total for dinner (including 3 glasses of wine, a Shirley Temple, a coffee, and tax/tip) was $205. Service was very good. Our server came by often enough and was always pleasant. Note - we entered the restaurant through the Hotel Griffon on Steuart Street. I think there might be an entrance on the Embarcadero side, too.

This is an amazing place to relax and have a good time. Great food and drinks. I will definitely come back here.

We are a party of 4 for a quick dinner meet up in San Francisco. Great food with reasonable prices. I ordered the delicious daily special of blackened shrimp over a bed of risotto. The spaghetti and meat balls were a very generous serving. The meatballs were soft and lots of spices so very flavorful. It included a big slice of garlic bread. The 2 sandwiches were prepared properly and arrived hot. This is a very reasonable priced restaurant and located directly across the street from ferry terminal. It was a 5 minute walk if you have to catch the ferry back. We came here on a Tuesday night and not too crowded. I did note there is outdoor seating and this would be a great place to have breakfast on a sunny day in SF.

In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

They had a nice crisp on the outside and were soft on the inside. I also got a regular coffee, and they do unlimited refills. The place was busy for brunch, and I liked the bear theme. Some of the coffees came in bear-shaped glasses, and some of the lattes had a decorative bear made out of ice.

My daughter, the least adventurous of us, went for the traditional French Toast, but it was not merely a serving of French Toast. This was as perfect as French Toast can get - whether it was the fine balance between egginess and non-soggy texture, or the thick maple syrup that enhanced rather than smothered, this was perfection! My wife ordered the Seafood Gumbo Deluxe which came with a a quarter of a crab, shrimp, mussels, chicken, Andouille sausage, accompanying the tasty gumbo! This was two meals in itself, it was so satisfyingly large. The meat was cooked to perfection. She appreciated that the seafood did not have a rubbery texture. I ordered from the specials menu - the Creole Sampler! Amazing! I'm actually going there for the second time today!…read more My family arrived early, so the wait was only about five minutes before we were seated. I don't remember if there was music, but it was a busy, lively place with multiple conversations happening at once. It was definitely a cozy, home type atmosphere. A few people ordered chicken and waffles, so I had the chance to try it, and it was delicious! The waffles melted in my mouth! That's what I plan to order next time. I order a Korean chicken sandwich. It was very tasty and large. I had leftovers! I was disappointed because I forgot my leftovers on the table . Note to self: NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. The lemonade was very flavorful, and my kids enjoyed it too. I even tried an alcoholic beverage, I can't remember the name, but I swapped it for lemonade because it was THAT good. As I mentioned earlier, I will definitely return to this restaurant and highly recommend it.

I ordered the K-Bomb chicken Benny and oh boy will you leave satisfied in every way. The perfectly poached eggs are served on top of a fluffy slice of bread topped with kimchi-hollandaise sauce. The chicken was a Korean style fried chicken with a crunchy sweet and spicy bbq sauce reminiscent of gochujang and honey. Home fries and green salad with sesame dressing topped it all off. The mango matcha latte was also quite good and the price for SF and for all that food was great value for the money. Ambiance is casual and a bit loud as can be expected from a brunch place but overall it is clean and a fun spot to meet friends for brunch. Don't stay too long after paying though or you will get stared at by the folks waiting in line. Overall definitely recommend checking them out. I look forward to trying other specialties here.

Today was the day where their reviews became a reality. The deviled eggs paired with the chili sauce was an exquisite compliment. And the lemon ricotta pancake! Such a great treat. The residential setting is part of the appeal - you can actually spread out, and it's a lovely area to wander while you wait for a table (and you will wait, so plan for it). The outdoor seating is the way to go. Indoor feels cramped. On cooler mornings they'll even hand you a blanket. Sitting outside on that peaceful corner watching the neighborhood wake up is a charming experience. Only downside of dining al fresco: a fly landed on my sausage. But credit to the staff - the waiter noticed and brought out a fresh plate without me even having to ask. That kind of attentive service goes a long way. The food lives up to the hype. The lemon ricotta pancakes are the star for good reason. They were light, fluffy, and not too sweet. The crispy potatoes were excellent too, just be warned they come out scorching hot (I burned the roof of my mouth going in too eager). Give them a minute to cool. Upside of parking on the top of that steep hill is that you'll burn off your breakfast calories getting back to your car.
