Hubby and I came to Petit Soleil for our anniversary breakfast, and it was such a lovely experience! We were seated right away and had the option of indoor or outdoor seating. Since it was quiet inside, we chose a cozy table indoors for a peaceful meal. Our young waiter was friendly, attentive, and offered great suggestions from the menu. I ordered the veggie omelet with wheat toast and fruit. Hubby ordered the petit breakfast with potatoes and a slice of French toast. The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee came in the cutest home-style mug. It gave such a warm, personal touch. While waiting for our food, we had fun reading the quirky signs around the cafe which kept us laughing. The music playing in the background had me bopping my head the entire time. I have come here a few times after they have moved and the new place is definitely much larger and more spread out. I have tried almost everything on the breakfast menu and you can't go wrong with whatever you order. Service is always pretty solid and the waits are never too long. Prices are on the higher side. This place is so cute and the service and food were on point. You know this place is good when my husband, a month later is still talking about how delicious his meal was. Our group ordered the petit scramble, the lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes, and regular pancake pancakes. The scramble is one of the tastiest we've ever had and we've had a lot of scrambles and omelettes in our life! Perfectly made. The regular pancakes were great tasty but the lemon ricotta blueberry ones were out of this world. We especially enjoyed the unique mugs that they have and somehow managed to match precisely to the personalities of each one of us in our group. I came in on a Sunday morning a little bit before 11am and it was pretty busy. They have a long bench outside if you are waiting on a table. The inside is small so most of their seating is outside which is really nice if you want to enjoy the sun. There is plenty of parking, parking lot and garage right across the street. If no tables are available there is a clipboard to check in where you write your name and wait to be called. I love their mismatched mugs that they use, makes it feel homey. I ordered the Big Boy breakfast (super filling) that comes with three pancakes but I upgraded them to three of their Lemon Ricotta mini pancakes as recommended by my friend. They were amazing. Service was prompt considering how busy they were, we got our food super fast. Definitely coming here for brunch again! read more

Honestly best place for breakfast and brunch. Took my mom on a Tuesday morning. It was cold and we were right by the door but I didn't mind after the food came! Our server was amazing and the atmosphere was cute and very cafe! Loved that all the servers always smiled and were very attentive. After a 25 minute wait to be seated, we were placed at a table inside where no one bothered to greet us or even acknowledge that we were there. 10 minutes into waiting, I saw a table open up outside so I got up and asked to be moved outside since we still had not received any service. I was told by that server it should not be a problem but then the host came over to our table and said that we could not move and would have to get back in line--despite the fact that there was only one single wait line for both indoor and outdoor seating. This felt more like an excuse than a policy, especially since there were clearly open tables available. I was confused and bothered but complied and sat back down inside. After another 5 minutes without so much as a hello or a glass of water, it became clear that service here is not a priority. My friend and I decided to get up and leave, once again, without any acknowledgement from a single staff member on our way out. Dining out is supposed to feel welcoming, and this was the exact opposite: disorganized, indifferent, and inhospitable. If you value your time or basic courtesy, I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

I was a bit surprised to see it looks like an old Denny's or IHOP (right by the Best Western hotel) but repurposed into a nicer cafe. The menu was limited for lunch so we ordered breakfast. The veggie options were a bit sparse (eg the egg and potato breakfast had meat but they subbed avocado when I asked). The prices seemed astronomical to me --$20 for eggs and potatoes and toast -- but maybe that is the going price these days! We sat next to two couples who were new to this restaurant and traveling like us. First timers. We sat down and it smelled good. Most breakfast dishes were $20. Cornbeef with potatoes/eggs was way better than my mushroom omelette. I didn't see too much mushrooms. Mine had sour cream and bacon that was a bit salty. The biscuits were really good. This is my second time attempting this restaurant. I don't live in Napa but visit a lot. The two times i went I stood there waiting for someone to get us seated. The first time I went i got seated evenly after 15 mins and the person I was with finally said something. And mind you it was not busy at all. Second time i went with another friend, we stood around 10 mins going in and out the door looking for someone. Someone finally asked us if we wanted to dine in. And then sat us down. Gave us the menu, some water (warm btw in the tiniest mason jar-looked as small as a shot glass) and then basically ignored us. After 15 mins we decided to get up and leave. Okay amount of street parking nearby as well as a parking garage directly across the street. Servers were friendly and accommodating. I ordered the corned beef hash. I thought the serving size was great, really enjoyed the pieces of toast on top. If I had to give a negative, it would probably be that the hash could have used a bit more salt, but they do give hot sauce/ketchup if needed. It's taken me a few weeks to decide on how best to explain my experience at Petit Soleil Cafe - it's important to be fair in my reviews. Anyhow, I kicked off my birthday (Nov 8, 2024) with a breakfast for myself and 5 of my friends in Napa before going Wine Tasting downtown. The location is walking distance to wineries (10-15 min depending on where you are going). The inside is small and there is also a outside patio where patrons can dine. We dined inside. We loved all of of the signs/sayings on the wall. You get a good laugh at a lot of them. Upon going in to see if we can ger seated, there was one waitress (dark hair/older) that came off very rude. She was actually pretty rude and have unsavory looks at us the entire time we were there and when we needed something, we would call over a young man who was extremely kind and ensured we had everything we needed. I could say they same thing for another young waitress there. She was super kind as well (even took pictures of us). Lattes and coffee was good. My friend had a bellini and it was too sweet. As it sat, you can see the amount of puree - in the glass and it was a lot. I love all of the different mugs we all had (it's like being at home and collecting mugs). I had the avocado toast. It was like eating a salad more than the traditional avocado toast I am used to. It was not bad; however, I would not order again - I'm allergic to eggs so that always limits my choices. It was just too much salad on top and that is not the description on the menu. Most of my friends enjoyed their food. So, overall, it was a nice birthday breakfast there. I can't say I would eat there again if I visit Napa. Oh, & they don't take reservations so it's first come first serve. read more

This place was an absolute let down. Everything sounded so good but the execution left so much to be desired especially somewhere as high end as Napa! My chicken and waffle came out cold. I don't even understand how that's possible unless they don't actually cook to order but then the paradox in that is the wait for the food was atrocious. Very disappointed To the business owner - you must have my table confused with someone else's. My children sat and ate what was put in front of them with no drama from either one. I wasn't enjoying myself because I knew I was going to pay $100 for a garbage breakfast I've eaten places where my kids actually acted up and still enjoyed my food.
