But when you do go on the weekend, WHERE ARE THE SUPPLIES? Look around Management, The Colony is now a booming area. Keep up with supply and demand. The PetsMart in North Irving/Las Colinas is an excellent example on how your store should look. read more

We have boarded our 80 lb boxer (now 3 yr old) here a handful of times since moving to Frisco last year and have been very happy with their care and services. After using a location in Dallas to great satisfaction and then a location in McKinney to little satisfaction, we were happy to find this location between our house and the airport (most of our boarding needs are due to travel out of town). The one thing that docks them a star here is that they start charging for another day at noon each day. At other locations, I could drop off on day 1 in the morning and pick up on day 2 in the evening and be charged 1 overnight, but here, once you pass the noon hour on day 2, it starts the charge for a second day - either another overnight or a day camp charge. Either way, you end up paying a little bit more. They are helpful in trying to make it work with a half day or full day of play or an exit bath, but it would be nice if you didn't have to incur that extra cost. Speaking of exit baths, we have purchased these here a couple of times and he always comes home very clean. He's got white paws and they are sparkling after his baths here. They always answer the phone when we call and they spend time filling out the report cards. Our pup is always excited to go, which makes me feel better about leaving him when I must; I know that he is well cared for at this Pet Hotel. read more

Rather ecstatic to discover this Petsmart in the North Dallas locale, as I've found both their customer service and orderliness deservedly merits its top-tier status: their friendly and knowledgeable staff, well-stocked inventories and a clean, orderly facility speaks volumes about this particular Petsmart, which ably strives to gain/maintain their loyal customer base. PetSmart location are generally "make or break" based on the strength of the staff. A great staff turns an otherwise unremarkable big box store into a great experience - especially when you are dealing with important subject matter like your pets. This place is awesome! They offer of kinds of classes for your puppy / dog and have an awesome day care for small dogs and large dogs. I have a French bulldog puppy that loves going here for puppy daycare! She gets so excited when I drop her off! This location has different rooms that are supervised as your dog plays with other dogs and toys. I love that I can drop her off and not worry about her while I'm at work. The prices are the best around and they are very flexible. I also do puppy classes once a week and it's very affordable. I'm a petsmart lover for life now! read more

Theres nothing wrong with the store. And bandield clinic is great. My problem is their grooming salon. They have people quiting all the time and you wont find the same people there for more than a month. After taking my dog there for over a year i found them short staffed and the guy grooming my dog didnt finish grooming my old 15 year old dog because he couldnt put up with him. Im never going back there again and took my dog to abother grooming salon. read more

This is my go-to pet store to find grain-free, higher protein dog food. They have a great selection although the prices are pretty steep. Their rewards program helps to offset that cost but not by much, but hey, our fur babies are worth it. The store itself is just ok but their cashiers need to have a little more enthusiasm. Every time I am there, I can barely get a hello out of them. Some people bring their pets in to shop or for their grooming or day care service and the cashiers just don't even acknowledge them. Sorry but I'm a dog person and seeing one in the store is too cute. They need to hire people that want to work there because they love animals, that extra oomph that customers will remember. I did notice that the way the store is set up, the grooming and the day care/boarding are situated in the back. That is a little inconvenient compared to other stores that allow for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. That goes for grooming too, I know my dog has trouble holding it after he has been in the groomers so rushing him to the exit through the store can be difficult to do. Other than that, the place carries everything I could need and is kept very clean. read more

This location is a joke. The staff is terrible, I have terrible service very time I go. They have one register open and if you need help there is no one that even asks. I needed help getting a huge bag of dog food and had to ask the cashier twice to send someone over. Not once did he page anyone to come help me. i just moved to the colony from allen where i frequented PETCO. i was low on dog food and had to find a pet store immediately that sells my dog's favorite brand. petsmart is just blocks away from my new place. i was not satisfied at all with my visit here. the customer service was poor. the food is $2 more than PETCO. they don't have a by-the-pound option for treats and rawhide like i am used to. i like to pick up a variety of fresh treats from my puppy and pay for them by the pound. all snack/rawhide options are packaged and lacking in variety. the collars and leashes are significantly over-priced when compared to PETCO. my first weekend as a resident in this area was very disappointing when it comes to shopping for my needs read more

Avoid it all all cost, they have a constant change over of groomers, so they are always training new ones and the new ones have made my dogs cut and bleed and choppy hair cuts, while trying to learn how to groom. I do not pay to have my dogs being abused by a new groomer. They need to tell you up front that it will be a new groomer in training and then you have the choice to say yes or no for your dog. I wil never ever ever go back. read more

Petsmart doggy day camp and the Petshotel are the best! The pet lovers who work there are so kind and accommodating. I have never felt particularly comfortable leaving my dog anywhere before but they just treat her like family here. This is probably the worst experience I had with Petsmart due to tonight's store manager doesn't know anything. I had never had problems with adjusting price with other Petsmart stores and petco stores, and all other manager know what they are doing and willing to help while this girl just said "I don't know". I don't know why she can become a manager! If the other store didn't went out of the dog food I want, I wouldn't even come to this one. Won't go there again. read more

I brought my new Border Collie puppy Dexter here for a bath, and Peter was friendly and professional. They did everything they were supposed to do, and said my dog was great during the process. They had quoted me 2-3 hours, but were done in an hour and a half. The staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. We will definitely be back. read more

Won't be bringing my pups back for boarding or day camp. We've been coming here for 3 years. I've noticed the staff has changed. I picked my pups up from 2 days of boarding. They lost the reusable bag that I brought the dog food in..then suggested that I buy a new bag...for them to lose again??? Both dogs came home and appear depressed and there is a cut on the upper lip of my puppy. Very sad and disappointed. I'll be looking for a new day camp. read more

Do not bring your dog here for grooming! I booked a bath appointment online for my little one. On the website it lists services as : bath, brushing, ear cleaning, pad trimming, anal glands, etc. From my understanding the bath is supposed to be for dogs in between grooms. My dog was there for 2 hours and 30 minutes and when he returned home his ears had not been cleaned, he did not smell like shampoo but more like wet dog, and his pads were not trimmed. I am not sure what I even paid for... nail trimming? I reached out to Petsmart to leave feedback and they gave me the run around to tell me they couldn't do anything. read more

In order to be sure everything was in order, I visited this boarding facility a week ago, brought in my two Chihuahuas records, and told the staff about the eccentricities of my two little ones. One, Cleopatra Bones, a female is an escape artist, but as warm and cuddly as a teddy bear. I got her when she was weaned at 6 months old. Scooter, my male was a rescue who was mistreated by his previous owners and I acquired him when he was 8 months old. He was extremely timid because of his bad treatment and when I visited the boarding hotel at Pet Smart, I told him he was easily frightened and would bite. However, I have trained him so saying to him DON'T BITE in a firm voice would settle him down. I informed the staff of all this and they told me not to worry that they were accustomed to handling previously mistreated dogs and I wouldn't have to worry. Scooter is now 8 years old but is still timid and scared around new people. I was reassured that they could easily handle a 6 pound Chihuahua. However when I brought my two babies to the hotel a week later, after being reassured that they knew how to handle dogs, particularly little ones weighing 6 pounds. But when a staff member tried to pick him up, he growled and snapped. They then told me they couldn't keep him. This was after reassuring me there would be no problem. I was leaving THAT night on my trip and they had full knowledge of the dogs problems. If they had led him on his leash, all would have been fine, but they then told me they had to be able to pick up the dogs. Really? A 150 pound German Shepherd had to be picked up before they could take him? The crux of all this is they were fully warned of the little dogs fear - remember he was a rescue who had been mistreated. All they had to do was lead him to the kennel by the leash, but told me they were not allowed to do that. They had to be able to pick him up. So they spoiled what was to be a cruise with my family celebrating my 80th birthday. They were not allowed to use gloves, they were not allowed to leash lead him, and when I commented that fearful, previously mistreated dogs snap, they said, unless they could pick him up - without him growling they wouldn't take them. And they added that dogs don't bite - apparently only my 6 pound Chihuahua bites. The point is they were told of the problems, that the doggie didn't like to be handled but was leash trained, they said unless they could pick him up without growling they wouldn't take him. Had they told me the week before when I made the appointment - both the lady on the phone and the people at the location told me there would be no problem - then I could have made other arrangements. Please know that your dog has to be picked up by staff strangers before they will accept them. I hope this helps another dog owner who believes what they were told wouldn't be a problem, only to find out that you're not going on your very expensive vacation because of outright lies told by the Pet Smart staff, both on the phone and at the physical facility. Too late to hire a dog sitter, but serves me right for believing what the Pet Smart staff, both at reservations and personally who were specifically told the little one's social problems. read more

My dog Kola absolutely enjoys coming to doggie day camp and boarding, she always has her tail wagging and I bring her back time and time again. I have a Maltese that I've taken there a handful of times. Each time I've picked her up, I leave disappointed and nervous to ever take her back. So then time heals and I give it another try and 3 times now, I've taken her and gave specific instructions NOT to cut her hair too short. Showed pics of what I do NOT want her to look like vs what I DO want her to look like. And sure enough, she's come back looking like a little rat and not my fluffy and cuddly Maltese. And further, their groomers seem absolutely miserable and I never see the same groomer. They are always gone and hiring new ones. ;( I'm finished with them. Too many strikes. I took my schnauzer mix in to the groomers to have his hair cut, his nails trimmed, and to be bathed. We dropped him off with my two other dogs. Later in the day I got a call to pick them up and when I got there my other two dogs were happy to see me and they were well bathed but when I saw my schnauzer I was very unhappy to see he hadn't gotten the hair cut so I asked the lady at the counter and she claimed that he has bite one of them and they got nothing done. My dog is the sweetest and can be difficult to groom but even so they have mussels for that reason. When I got home I noticed my dogs back side had been shaved to the point of bleeding and his nails were cut too short. I am never going again. read more

Took my dog to get her nails grinded a while back. As she is very nervous and always squirms around, we asked for someone to hold her on the bench as she got her nails grinded so she wouldn't fall off. Of course, the groomers didn't listen and my dog ended up falling off, at which point the leash that was attached above became a noose, and she was hanging by her neck as the incompetent staff member stood there watching for a couple of seconds before she decided to actually pick my dog up and place her back onto the bench. Totally unacceptable especially after I specifically told them to watch her so this wouldn't happen. I've never subjected my dog to the torture of ever going back to this place again read more

None of the employees smile, they are poorly trained and not informed of their own store policies. I called twice to board my pet and have her groomed. Both the grooming salon and the pet hotel said it wouldn't be any issue. I called twice to both to confirm. When I arrived my pet wasn't groomed because they didn't have a grooming paperwork filled out. No one called me about the grooming paperwork and no one told me when I dropped off my pet that I would need grooming paperwork. I will never shop here again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this terrible place. It is the worst pet store in the entire universe and should be closed, the employees fired and the building leveled to the ground. read more

I brought my 15 lbs white mix havanese in to be groomed he was 3 days expiration on his shots which is fine we all need our fur babies to be safe...so I took him 4 days later for his shots schedule a grooming appt via internet for the day after his shots then they call and tell me they can't groom until 48 hours after he's had his shots....I will never go to this place or try too.....when I took him in the first time i was looking at the wrong shot records and thought he was current because our other dog is but neither of the employees thought to tell me before I left oh hey if you do get his shots you have to wait 48 hours before we can groom him. Some of the employees are great while others have no clue. Lets start with there day camp March 6, 2016 one of our dog had and incident while in there care. This incident caused him to be banned for there camp for life. After trying to get this resolved I discovered the problem goes all the way to the corporate level as in they do not care about the customer or the pet. It is the money I emailed and called corporate about the problem we had with this store and was assured I would hear back in 24 hr that was the second and final time. What i was able to find out is the assistant manager of the hotel was where the problem started with putting to many dogs into a play area. And when you put a 90 lbs dog in with small dogs because the large dog area is full. Or when the hotel staff encourage the pets to jump up on them is not something all pet owners like. But as I was told that is the pet owners problem but for a fee out staff can correct the problem with training of my pet. Back to the incident the assistant told us this was not the first time there had been a problem with our pet but yet all of the report cards given to us show how great both our dog are and that they are always welcome back. To include the report where one of my dogs was ban for life from day camp. It seams that the other issue that the assistant manager was speaking of happened in July of 2015. While we were on vacation In South Dakota where another pet attacked our pet and he was taken to there onsite vet for treatment. Oh yes that was a nice unexpected bill that we had to pay. So even if your pet is in there care and someone else's pet causes damage you get stuck with the bill. I also spoke to the hotel manager she seams to care but I feel she has no control over her staff to include her assistant manager. As the manager told me if I was to contact there head trainer and set up and appointment and a review with the dog in question that after the training was complete that our pet would be allowed back into day camp on a trial basic. At the end of the meeting the trainer stated well it is clear you pet has no problem other than maybe to many other pets in the same room for to long of a time. And because the hotel assistant manages has BLACK listed you dog there is no way anything I say or do will get your pet back into day camp. I have found a new place that boards my pets there rooms are bigger and there play area for the pets is three time the size as the one room petsmart's has for either small or large breed dogs. So my though is to only go to pets mart as a last resort and only for supplies. So now I will provide the names of the petsmart people I was in contact with.
