Took my pet to be groomed, second time there has been an issue with paying through the app. Charges my card and purchase doesn't show on their end. All employees can say is call customer service and, "We don't control the app," as if the customer cares. Don't offer an accommodation you can't handle. Very poor response to the issue. Customer service number got it figured out but in store employees cut me off and were rude. Train employees to address the problem not make excuses. Especially Maricruz! Decided to go to a different PetSmart store between Venice and Pico Boulevard near mid Los Angeles that sits atop with other stores upon the parking lot area exactly between Pico Boulevard and Venice Boulevard. I made a reservation and got a wonderful greeted and smiling face from the groomer (who in addition gave me a PetSmart discount! ) There staff is very friendly and professional. I had brought my my Schnauzer Winston there for a bath and haircut. Much different from the Culver City PetSmart! Like day and night! Friendly, professional, caring and courteous staff! Worth the extra little driving time. I would most definitely would recommend this PetSmart store! I thank them and my Schnauzer Winston thanks them! read more

The grooming salon was an incredible disappointment. Brought my dog for a walk in pawdicure plus with an ear cleaning. I paid about $40 (which is only $10 less than my groomer charges for the whole shebang) I was very specific that her ears needed special attention because I noticed an odor. When I picked her up they said everything was fine- two days later I had to bathe her again because she still stunk so I decided to try and ear swab her myself. I'm going to try to attach a photo of these Q-tips but the amount of filth I pulled from her ears was just ridiculous. Her nails are still as long as ever and they clearly didn't even touch her ears. I should have been one of those nasty neurotic customers that need pics every little detail but I'll just continue learning to take care of her myself so I know she's getting what she needs Shame on you guys for your snotty customer service and shoddy grooming. read more

When I get down there the groomer said the person who clips nails won't be in for another 2 hours. I told them I called ahead to check and prevent this exact thing from happening, but the employee tried to say she told me all of this over the phone, which she definitely didn't because I wouldn't have taken the time to drive down there. Each time I go to this specific store, I am more disappointed. Today's advertised Pet Foods Sampling was a joke! There were no manufacturer reps for the sampled products. The store employees worked the table and really had no knowledge of the products. The employee kept offering me a sample for a kitten after I mentioned several times, I had a mature cat! There was one manufacturer's Rep on hand. Never heard of the brand and she didn't even offer to provide a sample or coupons. I made a special trip in anticipation I would be able to get some quality samples for my cat, as she is mature and becoming quite finicky with her food choices. I am truly disappointed with the retailer. I've noticed more and more, that the pricing is no longer competitive, stock when I order is low or out of the most frequent items I purchase regularly. I'm starting to believe that the online retailer, Chewy, while in some cases a bit more expensive, at least has adequate stock and I can get free 2 day delivery to my door. I hope the retailer takes my review seriously. I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years in various cities. I've experienced better in the past. Avoid PetSmart! Terrible customer service. Screwing around with prescription dog food order. I placed a reorder for prescription dog food in early July. The online order asked for the prescription (even though it was a reorder) and it would not upload ( tried from two computers from two different places). I called and was assured I didn't need to upload it since it was on file. A week later I received an email telling me the order was on hold pending a prescription. I emailed it and called again. The representative said he released the order for shipping and fedex confirmed it. Today I get an email canceling the order due to lack of prescription and non response from vet !! So I'm trying to figure out how to get the food quickly. The last thing the 12 yo dog needs is a change in food on top of cancer, heart disease, thyroid and gi issues. I call again and ask why in the world would they do this after confirming with fedex that it had been shipped. The representative tells me it wasn't cancelled and has no idea why I received the email. I will try to secure the food from somewhere as a backstop and keep monitoring the fedex tracking it. When My friend picked up his Pomeranian after 3 hours, his body was scalped and Regina stated they had to stop grooming due to nose bleed?!?? They waited 3 hours to inform him??? . He was also told the vet inside petsmart had to assess him? He was not given any info from vet on his well being. When He spoke with Regina, she was very defensive and practically blamed him for her grooming mistake. No apology, no compassion. Petsmart Manager just offered him a $50 gift card!?!? This groomer does not care about your pets. They completely lost our business due to trust and poor customer service. His Pomeranian is hairless now during the holiday season. I took my dog for grooming, his appointment was at 1:30pm I specifically asked for a bear cut and I also asked for them to not touch the ears and the tail. As you can see in the pictures this is not a bear cut and the lady cut so far up on his head when I asked her not to. I also told them to call my number not the other number I even wrote my number down for them and they called the wrong number for two hours and then they called me saying that my dog has been ready for the past two hour and they told me that, they were calling the wrong number when I specifically said to call mine, I live 25 mins away and when they called me to say all that, they told me that they are about to close and if I could come pick up my dog like I am very irritated because I was so clear on what I wanted and at what number to reach me. I also went to complain to the Manger and told her everything and all she said was that she was sorry and when I book another appointment to ask for someone new to cut my dogs hair, they should at least give me my money back or give me a discount because it's not okay that they did this especially for paying $50 for them to do a bad job!! read more

I took my baby three times to the groomer Marissa. My baby was always lethargic and simply weird. i said ok. I am not sure what I want to do . Until that piece of work decided she would threaten me and "NOT RELEASE MY PAID FOR DOG". Marissa a groomer is inept, vile AND sent me a text coughing on my dog an emoji (today) WHEN SHE WAS NOT THE GROOMER. (Blandy was) I eventually scheduled my baby with Groomer Blandy, she is AWESOME!!!!! My baby comes home like a little puppy (she's old now) . But, it gets better. Marissa said: "I can't release your dog your payment is not showing up in our system".....WHAT are you talking about weirdo who wants to kidnap dogs..... I had to talk to Paul the Manager, oh I'd be remiss my bank already notified me the money was OUT. I, love Blandy, my baby loves Blandy, but, I am NOT done,, Marissa thought it was funny to send me that text I still have, and tell ME she would not release my baby.... Marissa should be FIRED. She is going to get PetSmart sued, expeditantly. I STILL have the text with the emoji locked on my phone. I bought a hamster here at the Pico location and wanted to return him after 19 days because he bites but the manager would not give a refund. The manager told me that they will take him back without issuing a refund. I called the Alhambra location and told them the same thing and the manager there said he would issue me a refund but when I told him that I bought the hamster at the Pico location he said I had to bring the hamster back to the store I bought it. So it seems that it is up to the manager to issue back a refund and the one at Pico will not issue a refund. Do not go to this location, due to work i ask to book the appointment as early as i can so they have a 9 o'clock available so i book the appointment for both of my dogs. I called a ahead because i know i would have to canceled the appointments if i can't bring them in early. One of the girl on the phone say yes you can and i have done it at other location as well but unfortunately my favorite location close down. Today i walked in and already this lady came blazing and upset already and right off the back the tone was not nice. I say hi and I'm just checking in the pups and she proceeded to say that my appointments are at 9 so come back at 9. I mentioned i called about the situation and she say you can only be early 10 mins which is not the case when i was talking on the phone. Also she made a rude comment before checking what i was booking for, she say "well either way your dog is very matted by the look of him so we wouldn't be able to do anything today than she check my appointments than say ohhh nvm". I completely understand about customer service industry and it happen and is early in the morning but to treat someone like that is in acceptable. I know i was early but that's why i called back when they call mr to confirmed the appointment. Majority of the low ratings are for grooming. This review is for customer service which, in my experience, is exceptional. Two employees stood out and they deserve a shout out: Ruth and Devin. Today I went in to purchase a juvenile bearded dragon for my classroom pet. I honestly am not an animal person so I didn't know what things to get for the bearded dragon. Ruth was extremely helpful in guiding me to pick the right habitat, food, and necessities. She taught me how to handle the bearded dragon and was so patient with me as I was a little jittery and nervous because I had not ever touched one before. She answered all my questions (which were A LOT) and was not pushy about making a sale. I felt like she genuinely wanted me to make a decision that was best for my classroom (and the bearded dragon). I decided I buy it the 40 gallon tank. It was too heavy for me to carry so Ruth and Devin carried the heavy 40 gallon tank to my car for me. I told the girl that I was on speaker phone and had a family member listening and that the girl said 12 not one and two. The girl said it would still be three hours cause they have so so many appointments. I told I know I'm use to 5 or 6 hours that's why they go to a private groomer but they needed a bath and brush and my other groomer was booked. I had left the O'Fallon PetSmart 6 months before cause 3 times my little girl was razor burned three times. I think they called every month to let me know the cockers had been in. So I thought they could do a bath and brush. I was wrong. Both cockers came out damp, not fully dried, and shaking. Couldn't wait long enough for me to pet them. They pulled my daughter right out the door to the car. I paid 27.00 each for damp dogs. Someone sniped that they both didn't like their faces blow dried. No way. My puppy has been going to them since he was 10 weeks and he's over 8. My girl has been going to them since she was 15 weeks. Always good reports and my new private groomer loves them and tells us all the time how well behaved they are. I think the girl got pissed I told her I had a private groomer and they were here for bath and brush only because they were booked. It will take hell to freeze over before I go to PetSmart again. I spend over 100 for two dogs once a month and what good is their pet perks. It's useless for grooming. I buy my bulk food at Chewy.com. It's way cheaper and they are much more helpful and pleasant to their customers than the people who work at all PetSmarts and I've shopped many different ones. read more

They always answer every question i ask. Today, I decided to check out new decorations for my fish tank. When I walked into the aquarium dept , Eric greeted me and asked me what I was looking for. I explained him I wanted to buy new decoration for my fish tank. He gave me great ideas. Then , I was looking at the fishes and Eric told me there were many new baby fishes. I asked him how much they cost and he said they were free. We all love free stuff, so I wasn't going to reject the offer. Best thing is that Eric gave me all the baby fishes. My fish tank looks way better thanks for Eric. He deserves a raise or a promotion, not because he gave me the baby fishes, but because he knows how to handle his job.
