If you know, you know!! Just in case you don't...here it is! In VA Beach and my friend suggested that I try Philly Cold Cuts for a quick lunch. I selected the Chicken Philly and it was good. It was a small lunch spot with a lot of business. By the taste of the food, it makes sense. The service was friendly.

Gotta say it sucks to order EXTRA cheese but half of it arrives stuck to the butcher paper. Gave 3 stars because what I could scrape off still tasted pretty good. Just beware of the packaging!

Hubby was hungry and wanted a cheesesteak. I've never eaten from here so I came to Yelp to look at pictures before ordering. He got a classic biggie cheesesteak and I got a shorty cheesesteak with mushrooms and cheese wiz. The cheese wiz was amazing and I'm so glad I got that. Also the bread was so amazing and soft. The bread and cheese wiz really made this sandwich. The meat was good too. He called to order it, went to pick it up, and the sandwich was still crazy hot when he got home. I'd definitely order the exact same thing next time. I also wanna try the fries that I saw so many amazing pictures of. Yum yum yum.

Lives up to the hype! So glad I finally made it here to try their Philly. Followed the advice of another Yelper and ordered the "Biggie". It is more than enough for two, but definitely will have leftovers. The food is delicious and the service was great. I tried the cheese fries along with my cheesesteak, and it was the perfect combination. I rarely give 5 stars, but in my humble opinion this place is a winner and very deserving. Definitely try it.

The first time I had a cheesesteak from Philly's I was bit disappointed as they put ketchup on it. Didn't ask for it and didn't want it. The last three times it was perfect. I like my cheesesteaks with extra Mayo, extra lettuce and mushrooms. I love that their cheesesteaks are no fuss, just perfectly filled with deliciousness. Will be back for another round.

I asked some friends where to get the best grinder in the area and they immediately said this place. I ordered the Italian sub and the cheese fries and they were FANTASTIC I didn't plan on eating all the fries but I couldn't help myself, they were like little fried slices of potato perfection calling them "fries" on the menu was misleading because they are more like seasoned thick curly steak fries and so much better than I expected for "fries." I'll never order a sub anywhere else but be advised they are closed on sundays! Chicfila rules apply lol! Worth it... Highly recommend

You would never suspect the great atmosphere of this venue from the location. But the charm of the place really isn't the story. This is the kind of place that offers a gastro pub menu and they do not disappoint with a familiar yet unique menu offering some truly great dishes and perhaps the best burgers in VB. Definitely coming back.

Our first table ended up being under a spotlight that was directly in our line of sight (it looked like it was meant for the specials board), so we asked to move. Staff was accommodating and got us to a better table quickly. The space itself is really nice. It was clean, rustically decorated, and the live plants in liquor bottles on the tables are a nice touch. Our server was friendly from the start and took drink orders right away. My daughter and I had sodas, and my husband ordered the Southern Charm Old Fashioned off the specials menu, which he enjoyed. The menu is on the smaller side, which we actually like. One unique detail was the option to "buy a round for the kitchen," which we thought was a really nice touch and decided to add it when we ordered our appetizer. We started with the fried deviled eggs after a friend recommended them. They were creative with three styles (classic with pickle, togarashi ginger, and crispy prosciutto), but overall a bit on the dry side and not as flavorful as we expected. We asked for Dijon, but they don't have it. Our server suggested and brought out the Baja dipping sauce instead, which did pair well and kind of improved them. My husband had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. He said the fish was flaky and well cooked. I ordered the Union grilled cheese, which unfortunately seemed like it had been sitting a bit before being served, as the bottom was soggy. It was just okay overall and not particularly memorable for the price. The sweet potato fries on the side were the clear standout. They were crispy, the perfect balance of sweet and salty and honestly the best part of the dish. Our daughter had the kid's smashburger. It was exactly that. Service throughout the meal was good. She was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and there when needed. The main disappointment came at the end. When our meals were served, the server actually offered sauces at the table (ketchup, mayo, ranch, etc.), and specifically suggested items like the baja sauce for the eggs and ranch to us. Because of that, we were surprised to see several charges for the sauces on the bill, especially since they were offered and recommended at the table with no mention of any additional cost. We were also charged a credit card fee, with no signage anywhere (entrance, hostess stand, or menu) indicating that paying with a card would include an extra charge. It just left an unnecessary sour note on an otherwise solid, casual meal. Nothing was bad, and nothing really stood out as exceptional, but the lack of transparency around those final charges really impacted the overall experience for us.

From the moment I walked in, I loved the atmosphere. The restaurant had such a bright, fresh, and welcoming energy. I visited on the first day of spring, and honestly, the colorful interior perfectly matched the feeling of the new season. The vibrant décor and overall ambiance made the space feel uplifting, cozy, and full of life without being overwhelming. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a vegan bowl with vegan sausage, fresh avocado, quinoa, and a stir-fried mix of peppers and onions, and everything was seasoned and prepared perfectly. The ingredients tasted fresh, the bowl was filling without feeling too heavy, and the flavors blended together so well. It's one of those meals you keep thinking about after you leave. I also want to mention the staff because the hospitality truly added to the experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the visit feel even more enjoyable. Overall, this was a great first experience, beautiful atmosphere, flavorful food, and excellent service. This is definitely going on my list of go-to restaurants whenever I'm visiting Virginia Beach again. First, the service was absolutely wonderful. At no point during our meal, did we ever have to wonder the whereabouts of our waitress, which hilarious (BTW). Also, she did a wonderful job explaining the specials and providing recommendations on what to have...and importantly what to drink. The restaurant has a huge variety of breakfast dishes, so I think everyone should be able to find something that they would like. Personally, I went with a seafood omelette (I forget what it was actually called and I'm too lazy to look it up). I was quite pleased to see that the omelette was jammed packed with seafood. Relative to the area, I thought the prices were fair. Since we arrived pretty early on a Saturday, we did not have to wait for a table. Or maybe, we didn't have to wait because we had a reservation. If we stay at the same hotel for our next Va. Beach visit, we definitely will return to Citrus for breakfast/brunch.
