    Pepperoni cheesesteak
    Devin F.

Food is always on point here. I get the same thing every time -- pepperoni cheesesteak with grilled onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers Service was quick, portions were good, place was clean. The owner (I presume) happened to be there and she made sure to greet the customers and ask how everything was. That small gesture is very appreciated as she seemed genuinely interested and not just asking to be polite. She even thanked me as I exited. This place has been here for quite some time and I hope it stays cuz it's a wonderful place to eat. Thanks guys!

The food is okay, not even close to a real Philadelphia Cheesesteak, but it works. Boars Head is the lowest quality of meat. I don't know why people advertise it so proudly. The sandwiches are small, best to add other ingredients. The service is okay, but when I asked for lettuce to be added to my sandwich they charged me a $1! For lettuce. Why not adjust your prices to accommodate the extra or standard ingredients. $17 for one sandwich is steep! The ambiance is cool. You can tell the owners are penny pitching when the pickle bar is more of condiment section. If the sandwiches were $10 or less, I would come back often.

Found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint! Authentic Philly decor and history on the walls. Place was nice and clean, friendly counter staff. We ordered snd our meal was ready in minutes. I got the cheesesteak wiz wit (cheese and onions) but I also added bacon and I don't know the Philly way to add bacon. Onion rings were tasty. Overall great experience!

I'm not happy that I am making this review. I have been. Happy customer of this Philly's Best since it opened. My family and I eat here at least once month. This location has buy 10 sandwiches get 1 free punch card. Every time I come in I never have my old card so I get a new one and over time they have pulled up on my desk. Today I saw them all and decided I would grab lunch at Philly's and take all these cars and them combined and get a free sandwich. So I brought 5 cards in that had any where from 4 to 8 punches on them. I ordered a sandwich drink and fry's, then I gave them the punch cards to combine them and get a free sandwich. I was told no, I would have to purchase the sandwich and other items and they would punch one the cards and they would not combine them. I was shocked I had purchased easily 30 sandwiches plus other items in the past. I ended up canceling my order and left. Everyone in the store is new and have been the same faces for the last several months , which makes me think it is under new management/ owners. I'm sad to say I was very disappointed that they refused to honor their program, and I will not be giving this store any further business.

This is what they claim to be serving

I'm trying to support our local restaurants but when they screw over the consumer by skimping on ingredients I get angry, and overpriced!!! $30 for 2 sandwiches and 2 fries!!! Do not go there you will be angry!! And the young girl had such an attitude!

Mushroom steak with whiz. Not pretty but so delicious!

Descent food the only problem is that they barely put any meat in the sandwiches, it's mostly bread.

Apizza Doho, Dana Point…read more Our first visit to Apizza Doho in Dana Point turned into one of those dinners we'll genuinely remember. Great pizza, a fun atmosphere, wonderful service, and quality time together made this a very easy 5-star experience. We started with the zucchini chips, which were crispy, flavorful, light, and incredibly easy to keep eating. Definitely a great appetizer for the table. For our pizzas, we ordered The Original and The Bee Sting. The Original was an excellent introduction to their New Haven-style pizza. The crust had a beautiful char, great texture, and plenty of flavor on its own. You can tell the dough is given real time and attention rather than being rushed. Then came The Bee Sting. This was probably the standout for us. Sweet, spicy, savory, smoky, cheesy--it all worked together without any one flavor overpowering the others. It was the kind of pizza where everyone keeps reaching for another slice. Their 24-hour fermented dough made with aged biga really shows in the finished crust. There is genuine craftsmanship behind it. Ryan made the evening even better. Our server Ryan was outstanding. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and extremely attentive throughout the meal. One thing that especially stood out was how perfectly he handled our drink refills. I would take a few sips of my ginger ale or water, and somehow Ryan already seemed to know when another refill was needed. Our glasses practically never had a chance to become empty. It sounds like a small thing, but excellent hospitality often shows itself through details exactly like that. Ryan was attentive without hovering, helpful without rushing us, and seemed equally attentive to the other guests around us. Apizza Doho management: Ryan deserves recognition. He represents your restaurant extremely well. The restaurant itself had a great vibe--casual, cozy, lively, family-friendly, and welcoming. There was plenty of energy in the room, but we could still relax, talk, laugh, and enjoy dinner together. Afterward, we took a short walk nearby and grabbed some ice cream. Pizza, dessert, coastal air, conversation, and time together made for a pretty perfect Dana Point evening. Our ratings: Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Zucchini Chips: Definitely order them The Original: Excellent The Bee Sting: Must-try Service: Ryan absolutely nailed it We came looking for great pizza and left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and a wonderful family memory. Thank you to Ryan, the kitchen staff, and everyone at Apizza Doho who made our first visit such a good one. Highly recommended, and we will absolutely be back. And if Ryan happens to be your server, you're in very good hands.

I don't think it goes well with the bowl. I'd rather have steamed broccoli or less charred broccoli with a fat like mayo or cheese based sauce Bok choy: this also doesn't go well as ginger overwhelms your palette and it takes a while to reset and taste things normally. I'd suggest changing it to soy bok choy sautéed in sesame oil. Combined with nomnivore rewards, it's still surprisingly great value for money (sweetgreen value territory or even better).

I've seen both locations busy plenty of times, but somehow convinced myself it was basically takeout only. And then I convinced myself that by the time I got the food home, it would be cold, imperfect, and I'd regret the whole thing. Turns out the only thing I regret is waiting this long. My wife and I finally ate there, and Nori (a kind and happy soul) took great care of us. She was awesome and suggested the steak sandwich. I'm glad I listened because this is easily one of the best steak sandwiches I've had--and I'm including some pretty serious Philly contenders in that statement. It starts with the bread. I don't know what they're doing to this bread, but it's ridiculously good. Honestly, they could probably put a DMV application between two pieces of it and I'd order it again. We also had the arugula salad with an amazing lemon dressing, which was excellent and provided the necessary illusion that we were making healthy choices. Bottom line: Guichos has apparently been serving great food right under my nose for years. There's a reason both locations are always busy. Everyone else figured it out. I was just driving by.

Next time, we might ask to sit outside so our young boys can watch the cars drive by. We learned that the kitchen is nut free (always double check as this could change), which was amazing since our son has a severe nut allergy. He was so excited to learn this as he can be limited at other places due to cross contamination or the wrong oils. Then when the food came out and it was delicious - it sealed the deal. It is now in the top of our list of places to go. The kids cheeseburger is good size and not a smaller version as some places do. The chicken tenders were panko crusted which was so crunchy. My husband and I shared the smoked carrot and chicken tacos and we enjoyed them both. The beer was also very good with my husband and I each trying a different kind - an IPA and a Pale Ale. The ambiance at Truly Pizza was great and the staff was super friendly. The open-air patio made us feel like we were in Europe. I'd heard reservations were needed, but we went without one and only waited five minutes to be seated. Our food was excellent and the staff was very accommodating with my two year old grandson. We also learned a bit of food history: although Caesar salad is often thought of as Italian, it was actually created in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1924 by Italian immigrant restaurateur Caesar Cardini. We ordered the pizza, choosing from three different crusts. I especially liked the square and sesame crusts. Our favorites were the sweet-and-spicy pizza and the Mike's Honey pizza, both had great flavor combinations. Dessert was a bit more hit-or-miss for me. I could have passed on the ice cream with olive oil. Something about the combination didn't quite work for me; it reminded me of eating a salad with ice cream. Overall, Truly Pizza was a fantastic experience, with a beautiful atmosphere, welcoming service, and excellent pizza. I'd definitely come back for the pizza and patio alone.
