So I was so in the mood for pho and I literally drove around for about 25 minutes looking for a place to go. Lo and behold I landed in the middle of Vietnamese town. There were pho places everywhere! It was hard for me to choose a place to go so I chose the one that was brightly lit and decided to take a chance. When I walked in, it definitely was brightly lit and there were lots of neon signs and a tv. They sat me down and handed me a menu. I ordered what I wanted, ( I normally always choose is pho tai, rare steak, without green or white onions) And i decided to order some fresh rolls with shrimp. You can either choose from shrimp or pork I have had some places where they do shrimp and Park together but this wasn't one of them. The suit came first it didn't look like much but, you can't judge a book by its cover so I mediately took a spoonful the broth. I was immediately pleased it was delicious. It wasn't as thick as I've seen it before but the taste was there. Then came the fresh rolls. I took a bite into them and was surprised that they were just grandma Sally, shrimp, lettuce, mint. That was it. They were still tasty. All in all this place was pretty good and I would come back, but word to the wise, none of them can speak English. So you're gonna have to do a lot of caveman conversation. Grunting and pointing. Also this place only takes cash. Decided to give this place a try since I've seen multiple locations around the area. Multiple locations = must be pretty good right? Nope. The pho is completely average. It will hit the spot if you're hungry and want some pho on the cheaper side. An XL bowl is $7.50 here whilst other places have it for $8.50+. I'd easily pay the extra dollar though. The veggie dish they give you is abundant and they don't skimp on the protein. It's just the weakness of the broth. It's a little on the blander side, but if you're the kind of person who dumps a bunch of hoisin sauce and/or sriracha sauce in, then you'll probably not notice the difference. Really good place to go if you're just looking for a pick me up bowl of pho. The beef pho is really flavorful and generous in its portions. The bun thit nuoung is also really good and I recommend the goi cuon. My family likes to go out to eat here together for a very reasonably priced meal and great dinner. Hmm, good reviews on this place, maybe I went on an off day as mine seemed super bland. The soup here is very light with a hint of nice beef stock flavor, it almost felt watered down and I quickly tired of the taste. The noodles were very soft but have a slightly chewy texture, not bad actually. There were lots of squarish beef slices inside the bowl but the taste was on the forgettable side, I didn't search the bowl to look for more as if treasure hunting (As I normally do). It seems the Pho bowl landed on my table really quick, like less than 2min. The interior is large and airy with modern furniture and caught my eyes as I walked in. In fact the first thing I noticed was the contrast of nice stained dark wood furniture and smear marks on the chair's backs, probably the dark lacquered surfaces of the chairs make the finger prints and smears stand out (Unfortunately). The waiter waits by your side after handing you the menu, ready to jot down your order. Some are irritated by this but I didn't mind as I knew what I wanted. read more

Came here around 11? They are open until 3am which is a big plus for late night pho! All I can say is that my pho was plain noodles, I had no meat in there! So please take that into account. I liked it- it was good and they gave me a large amount of noodles. I've had better pho, elsewhere but for the most part it's good here. I also liked the fact that they give free drinks, and even though I ordered a premium drink (iced lemonade soda thing) I wasn't charged for it at the register! NOTE: You can't get a refill because the first drink is free..my friend asked for a refill on a soft drink... I am not sure what kind of review I want to leave for this place. A week ago, I would've given it 5 stars for sure, but today I was turned off by them. I love their Pho here, and their broth is delicious... however, after finding two hairs inside my pho, not sure how I feel. I found one, looked it over, told myself it happens, continued eating, and found another. I didn't make a big scene, and brought the napkin to the gentlemen at the cash register. Asked if they wore hair nets, and he probably didn't understand me, but was not rude. He informed another gentlemen about the hair, and then they offered the meal for free. I nicely declined, because I didn't want them thinking I just made up the hair story. I thought it was very nice of them to offer the meal for free, and suggested they wear hair nets. My friend and me ordered 2 small bowl of Pho and 1 extra egg york soup, 1 extra brisket. They charged $3,00 for 4 slices of brisket and $2,5 for 1 egg york soup. They even give me a wrong ticket. The wrong ticket has 1 chicken Pho, 1 dessert, 1 small Pho and 1 coffee. When I asked cashier to double check our ticket, they explained that everything has same price. The egg york on menu just $1,5, but they charged the price of dessert ( $2,5 ). A bowl of brisket just $1,5 but they charged price of coffee ($3,00). They give us wrong ticket which is more expensive and dnt give us apologize or admit that they wrong or give the right bill for us. This is the worst customer service restaurant ever. This place on Westminster under new management was a complete 180 turn for me. I have not been this place for almost a year but last few months I noticed sign said new management and "select" Free drink so I would not hurt to give it a try again. The worst is waste another $10 and time one last time. Tnere are only a few Pho worthy in Orange County. Now the two popular 2 places in OC are Pho 79 and Pho Holic in Westminster city. I would never go to those two places during dining hours because the expecting wait time to have Pho in front of you will be more than an hour and no parking space. This Pho 54 in Westminster to me now is better than Pho 54 locates on Brookhurst street. The last few times I went to the one on Brookhurst place, the Pho there some how it does not taste the same anymore ever since the price increased. The soup is not as hot as before when waiter bring it out and flavor not much there almost the same like the old Pho 54 on Westminster street but still better than old management. Pho 54 on Brookhurst charge $8.50 for Pho XL size (xe la) and not charging for fresh middle size (no small size) noodle if you want it while Pho 54 on Westminster is $8 and charges .50 for fresh small noodle (no middle size). I prefer small size noodle (like Pho Holic) because it does not ruin the soup flavor as fast if you are slow eater. Few months ago on Friday night at arpund 10PM, I was really surprise and learned that Pho 54 on Brookhurst closed at 3AM everyday and notice it was pack and filled with all different ethic backgound people and pretty much young 80% college crowds. That was the first time I ate Pho this late and surprised me with these people eating at night at this place. All the Pho restaurants on OC closed except Pho 54 which I know at that time. Now, since I went to this Westminster restaurant and I noticed that it open late also until 2AM on Friday and Saturday and midnight on other days. So if you cannot wait at your favorite Pho restaurant and want different Pho tasting flavor, come and try out this place again under new management and just foe yourself again. I am glad I give another go and happy I did. The soup is hot and meat is tender and flavorful not like old management. I cannot eat the Pho soup at Pho Holic more than 2x a week but I have came to this place 4 straight days and that I find extremely rare and I am surprised myself also. Pho 79 earned Jame Beard award last year but I just do not like everything charge .25 or .50 extra like onion and fat soup. Php 79 is one of expensive Pho in OC and give small portion of meat compare to Pho 54 and Holic. read more

This is my favorite pho in town. This is the only place I go. I love how they are open late because I usually get off work at 11pm. Broth is sooo delicious perfect flavor and service is friendly which is sometimes hard to find at a viet restaurant lol. They don't skimp on the noodles or meat. Meat is great quality and everything on the menu is affordable. They also always give fresh bean sprouts/ Thai basil/lime its never rotten like some places. I really like the salted fish fried rice as well. The fried rice has a lot of msg but I like msg in moderation lol. Horrible customer service. Not friendly. Not once did they check up on how we were doing. When we noticed the meat was bad they did not admit to it. They said they couldn't see anything wrong with the green meat. This Pho 54 is part of a multi-store group, with restaurants in 6 locations in SoCal: 10240 Westminster, Garden Grove 15420 Brookhurst, Westminster 8932 Bolsa, Westminster 8450 Valley, Rosemead 8150 Garvey Avenue, Rosemead 1036 East Anaheim, Long Beach It is average to a bit above average in size, has the obligatory flat screen plasma TVs for entertianment while you slurp your Pho, and has the older Vietnamese man taking your order and the young Latino cleaning up after you. The prices are reasonable, the Pho is good but not great, and it is located in the front building of a strip mall in Little Saigon. Good for a quick lunch. read more

It was no Pho 79 by all means, but I'd rather pay more for a nice late night bowl of Pho that isn't too MSG'd out, I need to take a nap in my car before I drive home *cough* Vinh Ky 2 *cough*. Plus you get a free drink. I got the Soda Sua Hot Ga (and although I tasted a hint of Sunkist soda), it was still good for free with my meal. Sorry folks, this ain't the joint to go to for checking out hotties after Shark Club (save that for Thanh Long or Thanh) but this is a good place to get a nice bowl of Pho with an ample amount of staff to cater to you in case you got a big group. My friends, boyfriend, and I decided to come here after doing Grunion Run. It was roughly around 1:30am when we arrived. Surprisingly there were two families before us and they looked happy. The employees however looked tired considering of the time; we were seated really fast and had some time to choose. I wanted a rice dish and so did my friend but the man said they only had pho left; hmm fair enough because it was late. I ordered a #3 and my boyfriend ordered a #1 and so did my friends. The bowl was huge and it came out in 5 minutes! Oh and by the way my friends ordered lemonade and they got water with a slice of lime and lemon and sugar in it. Anyways, the meat was good to me, the broth however for me tasted a little watery but it was still good. My boyfriend finished his. My #1 go to place for Pho! It's almost a crime not to get Pho here but they also have very good Rice dishes and Vermicelli dishes. It is open from 7am-3am, so yes.. It's Pho for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night drunk food! The broth is always perfect with some Srriacha sauce and Hoisin sauce and a squeeze of that lime... mmmm. When you finally dig in, I'll admit, the noodles (depending on the time of day) are a little hard to break apart. Still good. The beef is actually served rare as in pink!
