Very nice new pho place in Savannah. Splendid decor, friendly service and chat with owner. Food was great. Nice cooling fans directly to diners. As Southern Californians we have been disappointed by pho restaurant not to be named in Charleston South Carolina, but this 5 Spices in Savannah Georgia hit the spot before we tourists went for local ice cream parlor to end the night.

Food was authentic- I started with fried egg rolls- 2/order- they have pork in them. Then traditional pho with extra noodles. Broth was on point. I also ordered the hot ginger tea. The setting is beautiful with 2 gorgeous murals depicting Vietnam. Try it you won't be disappointed!

15 mins in after waitress took my order and I am still waiting for a water, which I had asked for. Isn't water usually the first thing you bring?? Tried ordering spring rolls, but they ran out. I had the pho, it was good.

Authentic Pho and Vietnamese iced coffee! Was here when they opened at 11am on Friday and it started filling up pretty quick.

I always get the Spicy Lemongrass Noodles (baseline usually not very spicy- you can add table side spices to your liking). They vary a little year to year but I always enjoy them. Cold air inside, waters stayed full, but it can be fairly noisy depending who you're sat next to and how busy the place is. Tables can be a bit tight for a couple as you'll only get a 2 top (they get busy and need to save the larger tables for bigger parties). We were able to order before the 10 top next to us, so our food came out super fast! (Yay!!) Could use two bathrooms though, the one they have is large but when they are packed it can be quite a wait. Lots of metered street parking on Broughton and nearby streets. We'll be back again!

Makes it fun to try dishes from different locations, especially for those unfamiliar with Asian cuisine. Very pricey menu. Pad Thai 2.5/5 could have had way more flavor and had zero spice, and they didn't ask if we wanted a spice level at all. Flavor came out once chili sauce was added. Red spicy noodles were spicy and yummy! 5 spice BBQ pork plate was super flavorful, loved this dish! Lychee sake martini just tasted like lychee juice which was great. They also add in 2 lychees to eat/garnish! A good spot, nothing to write home about. Probably wouldn't come back, there was nothing wrong with the place, just nothing exceptional.

We tried their PHO and PAD THAI dishes --- both excellent --- as were the Shrimp Spring Rolls. The offerings via the menu present a more diverse and broader range of foods --- more South East Asian overall. What we find odd is the ratings attributed to the former Saigon Bistro are attributed to this new restaurant. This is confusing. The good news is we find the offerings here, in our limited experience, to be excellent. Highly recommended.

I find it nice and comforting when it is clear that many other patrons to a small restaurant are obviously regulars. There wouldn't be regulars if a place wasn't good! That said, my meal was mostly kind of meh. I got the Vietnamese crepe, which is more like an omelet, and I think I just ordered something that didn't hit my palate right. My guy was happy with his meal (pho), but I found mine a little bland and wanting. I am sure other things would have been better, I just chose the wrong thing to order. Service was pretty good and I can see this as being a solid, every day lunch spot for folks in the area.
