Came here on a Saturday around 1:20 no wait. Parking lot is small. Inside plenty of seating and clean utensils and sauces were on the tables. Menu was simple and service was fast. I ordered the Brisket Pho it was 12$ cash. Taste was really good plenty of noodles and broth had a good flavor. It felt like authentic Vietnamese food so would recommend and will come back. read more

I don't know what it is about hot weather, but I get cravings for pho. I work in the area and decided to check this place out. I wanted to look for a more homely place vs a modern, trendy place. Unsure why, but I think pho is best tasting when served at mom and pop places. I went in during my lunch hour and received my food within 10 minutes. It did not seem busy, but it was also a hot summer day. The broth was flavorful and the meat was tender. What stood out to me was the chili oil they gave as a sample. It made the broth stand out to 100%. I'll be sure to order again during the cold season as well. read more

As someone that rarely likes any pho outside my mom's, Pho 881 absolutely hit the spot. The pho broth was comforting, piping hot, clean and tasty. Small pho dac biet (#5) had a lot of thinly cut meats that almost melted in your mouth. Comes with the basic vegetables of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño and lemon. All very simple, basic, but perfect meal after a long night, with probably a late morning start to soothe the soul. Restaurant is located in a small plaza with decent parking. Interior and decor are reminiscent of other pho restaurants, a few paintings and art with not too much going on (but if you're here after a long night, this is probably the last thing you care about). A good amount of tables. Service was fast, to the point. No wait around noon on a Sunday, with maybe 3-4 tables occupied. Currently it's free Thai tea with any food purchase. 5 stars because this is the first pho place in a very long time where I enjoyed every bite, actually finished it, then felt better about myself and day. read more

Simple and straightforward menu. The employees here are the sweetest. We got the rare steak pho, fried rice, and spring rolls. I've never had spring rolls with iceberg lettuce before here but they tasted great regardless. The fried rice was amazing too, a lot of places put too much oil but this wasn't like that. 4 stars because the steak was a bit too soft. read more

As a Vietnamese woman who frequents Westminster, Pho 881 is the real deal! The restaurant is spacious, smelled appropriately beefy, played relaxing Vietnamese music for an authentic ambience. There were plenty people dining solo for lunch. The service is quick and attentive. The menu is straightforward for a pho-centric restaurant. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet size small for $12 and it was definitely more than enough food. The broth was clean, beefy enough and slightly sweet. The noodles were on the softer side and all of the meats were good, especially with a side of hoison sauce and chilli oil. There is a large photo of the different meats on the wall so you can customize your meat selection. I appreciate the generous side of fresh and clean basil, bean sprouts and lime. I went to this restaurant yesterday - Friday May 24th 2024. I don't have a problem with hole in the wall restaurants - because I've been to quite a few and have been surprised with the quality of food that usually comes out of those. But this restaurant was nothing short of the opposite. There was only 4 other people in the restaurant there when I arrived - which should have told me all I needed to know. I ordered the sausage and shrimp fried rice and the oxtail noodles soup. Honestly, the flavor for both dishes were not the best - but I thought definitely thought at the time- not the worst. Guess I spoke too fast. After I got home - I've literally have been on the toilet.... I'm actually sitting on the toilet right now writing this review (now 14 hours later). I don't know if it was a fluke or something going on back there inside the kitchen - but I must have gotten food poisoning - because now counting - I've been to the restroom about 8 times. I'm not sure what is going on - but something is clearly happening in their kitchen - and hopefully I'm not the only one with that opinion. read more

The pho here is okay, I ordered the pho dac biet and I was expecting more varieties of meat. They don't seem to add tendon and meatballs like other pho restaurants. The broth was pretty standard and the portion was good. They recently moved to a new location and are still offering free Thai teas for their grand opening. read more

Don't come here if you're prissy lol. It's super casual, they play jazz playlists off youtube, and there's almost always a kid playing games on his laptop in the corner lol. That said, this is my favorite pho in Long Beach and I'm so glad they're back. I was sad when they old spot was closed because I didn't know they were moving. It's been almost a year and I drove by and noticed the new shop just by luck. Same staff, same food, only difference is the prices haha. I think the prices are a bit high, but I think everywhere raised their prices over the pandemic. Both broths are really good. Shrimp is my favorite order, followed closely by the rare steak and fatty brisket. The thai tea is not great. Like really, lower your expectations. It's better than water but isn't going to change your life or anything. But the pho is so good. read more

This is a true family owned local restaurant that I love to support. This place originated my love for Pho. Mr George works extremely hard and loves to make his customers feel at home. When I come here I love to get the beef skirt bowl of Pho with a plate of fried rice and a 4 piece order of egg roll. There is two sizes to their pho and to be honest the large can feed two. When you're from out of the town expect for this location to not be located in the best of area but I'm from the neighborhood and to be honest this is one of the better pho places I've had in the city. read more

I never tried pho and for my first time I ate here. I have to say that this is the best pho ever! The broth is so good and the meat was nice and not chewy. The Thai tea was delicious and a must have! Best Pho in Long Beach ! Located in a strip mall with a handful of parking spots right off Anaheim .We were able to easily find a spot to park and as soon as we walked in we're hit with the lovely aroma of Pho. We opted for the oxtail and Special Pho ( combo of meats) . The broth OMG so freaking good you can really taste the spices and complexity . Have been to a handful of spots around Long Beach for pho but Pho 881 broth is by far the most complex and delicious. This will be our go to spot for Pho from now on! read more
