    Pho beef and brisket
    Natalie G.

Have been on a Pho kick lately with it getting colder . For a rainy sunday it was definitely a good call. The place is definitely a popular choice as it took a few mins to get a table . The broth was good , a very nice amount of meat , I went with beef and brisket. Also had the pork spring rolls and a pork banh mi. Spring rolls came out 1st and they were tasty. Let me tell you though-that pork they used on the banh mi was some of the best I've had . The char, the beautiful flavor on it, and lets not forget it was perfect for sharing. I got full off that and only few sips of noodles from the pho -ended up taking it home . Such a delicious sandwich. Definitely recommend it fresh but I did warm up the left overs the next day and was still tasty .

I'm not so sure I would call the food here authentic Vietnamese food. I mean, the traditional spring rolls that typically come with vermicelli noodles, shrimp, and pork belly had bbq pork instead. This was new to me. It didn't taste good either. The egg rolls were just ok. My friend and I stopped with just these 2 appetizer items and went elsewhere for dinner. Service was so-so.

The pork bahnmi was the star of the show. Meat was tender and super flavorful. I got the seafood pho, and it was good. Egg rolls are very tasty too.

My husband and I have heard about this place from MULTIPLE people because of their ox tail pho. We finally decided to give it a try. The pho broth was better than I expected, the ox tail was fall off the bone yummy! Only downfall is that they only one bowl size. So I felt bad when I couldn't finish it. We also got eggrolls which was very yummy! Service was attentive and checked up on us fairly often. The vibes were a very family friendly environment!

Where to even begin. I ordered the bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup), butter wings fish sauce, pho dac biet (house special), and calamari. Bun Bo hue was not traditional but even if I put that aside, it lacked flavor, noodles were too hard, broth was not hot, and they didn't give me everything that was supposed to come with it. The pho lacked flavor and depth. Fish sauce wings were fine and the calamari was great. The batter was light and airy. Service was ok but a few issues. Two spoons we received were dirty and not just a small speck dirty. I'm talking about noodles stuck on spoons dirty. If you're going for authentic, this is not it.

I had to knock off a star on my latest visit last week. I decided to try the Bun Bo Hue for the first time and unfortunately it was not very flavorful to me. I usually always get some type of Pho on my visits and ANY Pho broth I have tried to date is incredibly flavorful and delicious. The Bun Bo Hue had none of that flavor explosion going for it. Quite disappointing. It also was not spicy at all. It came with a side of what looked to be chili oil. Perhaps I was supposed to add that in? The ham hock was also quite tough and the broth was not piping hot. There were new faces as server's. My familiar server's looked to be in the back of the kitchen now. Our personal server was a girl. She may have been Hispanic, but I could be wrong. She saw us waiting at the front and approached us to ask how many in our party and then sat us. After giving us a minute to go over the menu and placing our orders. She brought our food out and was never seen again. I wanted to ask for Siracha and Hoisin sauce for dipping, but I couldn't find her anywhere. I saw a gentleman server who looked busy helping people at his own tables, but not our server. She finally came out to give us our check. She was terrible, but I still tipped her a little something. I noticed people waiting at the front door longer than needed. Mind you it was lunch time, but it wasn't a full house. Not a great visit for me this time. Although their Vietnamese coffee is still delicious as ever. I get it every time.

    Shrimp vermicelli

By far the best Pho in the state of Utah. Not the most photogenic bowl but who cares when that deep meaty beef broth hits you like it's trying to heal your soul! Comes with ample veggies to add which is always awesome. The shrimp vermicelli is also incredible, just generous portions of fresh ingredients, and the curry seasoning just hits. Service is great, staff are extremely attentive and just overall nice to interact with. The ambiance is like a mom and pop shop which I love! I will definitely be back!

Very busy place especially weekends. Came here to visit with the family during my convention in SLC before heading back home to the Bay Area. Their spicy soup bun bo hue is legit. Super delicious. The other soups also were so good and very large portions. Huge menu and great selection of dessert drinks too. Excellent service and highly recommended. Plenty of parking. Cheers!

    Deep fried wonton soup? Gross
    Sandy T.

This place has more authentic Viet dishes than a lot of Viet restaurants in Utah. However, they make them just okay. The dishes we ordered weren't the best, but definitely not the worst - good enough to finish. One thing that really put me off about this restaurant is their wonton soup. I love a good wonton soup. Unfortunately, that's not what I got here. It is VERY VERY OBVIOUS that they put deep fried wontons into the soup. That is so gross and appalling. This made the soup oily and distasteful. The pho came out kinda cold - sad. When we told our server, they just popped it in the microwave for a few minutes. I did like the chicken salad (goi ga). Though the taste isn't quite dank and authentic, it was still good. The shrimp chips that came with it looked like it directly came out of the fryer. The amount of oil that was still on them was disgusting. The chicken wings were big and nicely cooked. The server was nice, didn't speak Viet so we ordered using the numbers. The place is pretty clean.

    P5. Rare Beef Noodle Soup

Been searching around for pho in the SLC area. Based on the recommendation of Phoking on IG, we tried Pho 777. Pho broth was so deep and satisfying in flavor. Tons of meat - we tried the rare beef and oxtail. Oxtail meat fell right off the bone with no effort. Try their chili oil - a little bit packs a lot of heat. Service was extremely fast. Although it is a small strip mail on Redwood Road in WVC, there's plenty of parking. Will definitely be back.

I have been to Pho Bien Hoa twice now and while their Pho is not my most favorite in the Valley, it does hit the spot. The flavor is fair. It's served piping hot and has a fair amount of proteins and noodles. Of course it came with the side of bean sprouts, Thai basil, and jalapeño with condiments set on the table. I order the regular size and it's just enough for me to finish and feel satisfied. I've tried their wings. It had a garlicky, sweet and sour type sauce. They were fried crispy and I enjoyed them a lot. I've tried their lychee on lychee tea. It was a bit too sweet for me. My better half finished it up for me and ordered the shaking beef for himself. It was tender and flavorful. Pho Bien Hoa is close to my area when I don't feel like traveling far. It's affordable. The dining area and restrooms have always been clean on both visits and the service has been great both times. There's usually a small steady stream of people who dine in or take out. Both times my husband got viet lattes and those were also delicious. I also tried their banh cuon (steamed rice rolls) and the friendly staff member asked me if I wanted it heated up, which I did. It was the perfect light on-the-road lunch. They even have banh mi and various desserts too.
