Ok.... I'm probably not the one to recommend this place because I only get one plate from here but I can tell you I've gotten it probably 20+ times which means I do like it. I'm vegetarian and there are other choices but I really like their sweet & sour tofu and have just stuck with it. I get the craving probably once or twice a month and order from them. Holy good lord. So i would be lying if I don't give this place 5 stars.. I have had trouble finding a good Vietnamese restaurant. Now I have my favorite. The food is quick, hot and delicious. The restaurant itself is quite larger than I expected but service was never an issue. The staff are what you would expect and very quick to make sure your drinks are kept full. Restaurant was clean and had plenty of parking. Upon my entrance I was greeted warmly by staff. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to, didn't felt like I was rushed to put in my order. All 9 orders came out relatively quick for how much attention was put towards the care of presentation. Food was good. Flavors were right, exactly as I would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant in California. Wait staff was great towards my 8 months old son. Ate here over the weekend while in the area with my family of 5. We arrived around 2 pm, there were a few other tables of customers but we were seated promptly. Our food was good but unfortunately we will never come back here due to how they treat their customers. The entire time we were there all the employees were constantly talking crap in Vietnamese about us as well as other customers that were in the restaurant. It was so uncomfortable but we chose to not make a scene. The guy who waited on us who seemed like an a owner or manager even said to the other employees, "keep it down, they might understand you" instead of telling them they shouldn't be talking crap about their customers at all. Was having a staycation in Folsom at Lake Natoma Inn and we were craving for Pho. This place popped up on Yelp and by far the best Pho place in this area. I even like it better than Hoa Viet off Madison. The Pho noodles were perfect. The broth was good. They even have pickled jalapeños with garlic and onion oil. We killed it! They have a lot of condiments to add to the pho as well. I have Laotian blood in me and let me tell you, Lao people go all out on their Pho/broth - . Their egg rolls were also good. Super meaty with pork fillings. Vietnamese coffee was strong but yet delicious. I would've gave them a 5 star if they didn't forget to bring out our Vietnamese coffee, when we reminded them once already and had to asked for straw numerous times. Beware!!! Check your bank accounts whenever you go here!!!! I paid $25.92 with my debit card when I went in. My receipt shows the $25.92. It was only my sister, my 7 year old son and I dining. But when I checked my bank account the next day, PHO ABC charged my card $29.92. I called and they told me I had to go in and they'll give me back the $4 they overcharged me for. I told them that driving there would cost me more than the $4 they overcharged me. But the guy I talked to said all they can do is give me back my $4 if I was to drive there. :/. Disappointing!!! Wife was craving for a pho soup, so we came here based on Yelp recommendations. It was disappointing. The walls around our table were covered in what I assume were droplets of condiments (looked like they were there for a while). The service was quick but subpar. The wine we ordered never appeared (by the end of the meal, the waiter said it was coming, but at that point we said we no longer needed it). A piece of lime we asked for also never made it to the table. The pho beef soup was okay (we have eaten better, but it was not horrible, although there were some things in the soup we could not recognize, but that may have been our issue). The popular (marked with a star) special house chow mein dish looked good but was rather tasteless (and no, I do not have a Corona). The lemongrass shrimp was a bit better than chow mein. The portions were huge (I normally eat 1/3 of what was served). Soup bowls are enormous (even the small ones). My kids usually only want a plain pho with just rice noodles and broth. *chow fun (larger rice noodles) with tofu and veggies or with pork (when I feel like having meat). I enjoy this dish with their jalapenos in vinegar. I have come here a number of times with family and friends, and each time I enjoy the bowl of pho immensely. It's perfect on a cold day and, because I'm weird and Chinese and can eat hot things all the time, still extremely enjoyable on hot days. My kids have also loved their other dishes, such as the shrimp ones, and the bun dishes with the vermicelli noodles are also great with yummy egg rolls. Also, the guy at the car dealership who also moved here from East San Jose said it was pretty good, so I feel validated in my affection for this place. It's never been too crowded and the service has always been as was expected. They don't always watch out for your unspoken needs. I just have to say, I don't know if it was because I was starving but today's pho broth was amazingly delicious. It's very rare to find a place where the broth is so good that you don't even want to put other condiments/sauces in to tweak the flavor. I come here a lot within the last 10 years and it has its first ups before the new name change/or ownership, and then of course downs, however, today has left the impression of when it first started its rise in this community. I don't know how this place has such a good reviews. I ordered the spicy lemon grass Pho. It didn't say anything about having spam and beef liver inside of it. It was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it had been marinating in months old meat. Tons of spam in it, and beef liver absolutely horrid. I honestly pulled out tons of meat particles that I had no idea what animal they came from. I am actually pretty adventurous and eat all kinds of different things. I am not a peanut butter and jelly type of person. But this was a whole different level. It was like they threw the scraps of what they had left over into a broth and called it lemongrass pho. Absolutely terrible. Nevertheless, I paid my bill and tipped 20% as there's no point of arguing with the staff an owners. I just will not be going back again, and I want everyone else to know that there's seriously disgusting mystery meat in the soup!!!!!!
