They don't have a menu because they only serve one item which is wagyu pho. It did take a while for the pho to come out because they are short staffed, but the taste made up for it. I am not usually impressed by most pho places from NorCal to SoCal, most places are around the same level and not many stand out. I came here at 10am opening on the dot for a solo meal with low expectations, the place is inside Lucky Seafood 2 and is less than casual even... If you're looking for luxury, this is not the spot for you. But if you aren't pressed about aesthetic and condition as much, you will not be disappointed here. Tom runs this as a one man show, he's got ONE thing on the menu and it's this pho w/ some quality wagyu! And it's the best pho I have had probably ever. The owner, Tom, was humble enough to serve me and my friend and brother that day and boy was he a hoot!! I can tell he loves to connecting with his guests and sharing stories & jokes. It's such a humbling place located inside a supermarket (Lucky Supermarket). That really set the vibe when me and my brother entered and took a seat. So this restaurant is known for their Wagyu beef and only had one type of bowl. One bowl is $18 and the portion is perfectly filling. The broth was clear, which indicates they simmered it at least 24 hours to cool down the bone marrow. The meat was tender and soft. The broth itself was rich and flavorful! No seasoning or additions were needed, but if I want some spice they do have sriracha. Overall the experience was fantastic, there's enough seats for large parties. There's no shortage of pho places in the Garden Grove / Westminster area and if you ask 100 people for their favorite, you'll get so many different answers. But I have to highlight a hidden gem that I hope more people will soon discover. This spot is tucked away near the entrance inside Lucky Seafood 2 Supermarket. When I went, I didn't see any signage outside, so if you don't know where to look for it (or if you're just walking by), you probably won't even know it exists. And once inside, all you'll see is a small folded sheet of paper with the words "Pho Akaushi" written on it. But once you find the spot, you're in for a delicious bowl of pho! As far as I can tell, it's run by one person at the moment (Tom, a very friendly guy who will chat with you if the place isn't busy). And there's no menu, so you pretty much just order the one thing that he serves: an $18 bowl of pho with very clean but flavorful broth with a variety of wagyu meats. I used to check out this spot when it was open in Lake Forest before it seemingly disappeared and then bounced around a few other locations, so happy to see it finally have found some footing in this new spot. The bowl of soup that was available is one size and it is perfectly balanced with protein and noodles. The meat is super tender and you won't believe how the meat melts in your mouth. Succulent pieces of meat perfectly cooked to perfection. Your eating quality and it shows... BROTH: The cleanest and well balanced broth to add to the richness of the meat. Nothing was overpowering in terms of oily or heavy. Robust flavor in the meat brought out the distinctive taste of the soup. As someone who was also here and experienced it first hand, you would know from signs that they don't have a POS system set up yet because they're newer and that it's being worked on.
