    Wagyu pho
    Tina N.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm glad I finally did. I believe they recently moved so it's now inside Lucky Seafood Supermarket. They don't have a menu because they only serve one item which is wagyu pho. It did take a while for the pho to come out because they are short staffed, but the taste made up for it. I thought the pho was delicious! The broth was clean and full of flavor, wagyu was tender, and veggies were fresh. The owner was very nice and friendly. He gave me very refreshing water which I couldn't figure out what it was, which I later found out it was coconut water! No wonder it was so good. If you love pho, give this place a try!

Now now now folks this is NOT a drill......... When I say this might be the best pho in CA, it's up there no doubt! I am not usually impressed by most pho places from NorCal to SoCal, most places are around the same level and not many stand out. I came here at 10am opening on the dot for a solo meal with low expectations, the place is inside Lucky Seafood 2 and is less than casual even... If you're looking for luxury, this is not the spot for you. But if you aren't pressed about aesthetic and condition as much, you will not be disappointed here. Tom runs this as a one man show, he's got ONE thing on the menu and it's this pho w/ some quality wagyu! And it's the best pho I have had probably ever. Tom's hospitality is also so kind, approachable, and genuinely feels like I'm being fed by family! If you're lucky, maybe you'll get some amazing surprises and a few laughs with him. This will now be my go to pho!

If you are looking for A5 Wagyu beef pho, this is definitely the spot! Flavorful clear broth with high quality meat are all you need in pho. They also have egg rolls as appertizer and sugarcane juice. My lunch is completed!

Went grocery shopping at Lucky Seafood 2 Supermarket and had the pleasure of meeting Tom, the owner of Pho Akaushi. We got to talking he is one of the nicest, most hospitable people I've ever met. He told us about his restaurant which is now located near the entrance of the inside of supermarket. I was so impressed by the review that the well known food critic Brad A. Johnson wrote but we were in a hurry since we had live seafood in our cart. Tom was nice enough to make us sample bowls to take with us, and let me tell you!!!! I am coming back and bringing the family. Ya'll really need to check this place out. Pho Akaushi, recently relocated to the inside of Lucky Seafood 2 Supermarket.

There's no shortage of pho places in the Garden Grove / Westminster area and if you ask 100 people for their favorite, you'll get so many different answers. But I have to highlight a hidden gem that I hope more people will soon discover. This spot is tucked away near the entrance inside Lucky Seafood 2 Supermarket. When I went, I didn't see any signage outside, so if you don't know where to look for it (or if you're just walking by), you probably won't even know it exists. And once inside, all you'll see is a small folded sheet of paper with the words "Pho Akaushi" written on it. But once you find the spot, you're in for a delicious bowl of pho! As far as I can tell, it's run by one person at the moment (Tom, a very friendly guy who will chat with you if the place isn't busy). And there's no menu, so you pretty much just order the one thing that he serves: an $18 bowl of pho with very clean but flavorful broth with a variety of wagyu meats. I used to check out this spot when it was open in Lake Forest before it seemingly disappeared and then bounced around a few other locations, so happy to see it finally have found some footing in this new spot. But yeah, it doesn't seem like too many people know about it, yet so hopefully more people discover it soon!

We came here as a group of five on a Sunday around 1 PM and were surprised to find the place completely empty. There's no menu, they only serve one item so you're really coming here for Tom's pho and Tom's story. Tom (the owner) runs the entire show himself, from cooking to serving to chatting with guests. It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive, so I wouldn't recommend this spot if you're in a rush. He also sat with us throughout our meal sharing his life story super friendly and genuine, but definitely not ideal if you're not in the mood for a long conversation. The place itself is simple and tucked next to a grocery store, nothing fancy. The pho was flavorful, though the noodles were a bit overcooked for my taste. Overall, it's a unique and personal experience so more like dining in someone's home than a restaurant.

In town from Las Vegas for a conference and found this hidden spot. Very unassuming pho place located inside a supermarket. There is only one option and that is the combo pho. The owner is very nice and has a lot of interesting stories. The pho was good and had a bit of a unique flavor compared to your standard pho. The meat was also very tender. If you ask the owner about it he will spill the secrets.

Combination wagyu - mixed, so most of the meat got turned over

I've always said that my mom's pho is probably the best pho I've ever tasted, but I'll admit that Pho Akaushi is better than hers. The broth has a wonderful savory depth to it and the meat was perfectly tender. There is no menu and the only item they make is a one size bowl of their combination wagyu pho. Don't confuse this location with the one in Anaheim. This location is the one where Tom is at. He moves around to different locations but has been here for about 2 months now, just recently moving into the bigger section of the food court inside the Lucky Seafood 2 Supermarket.

I remember eating at this Pho shop when it was originally on the 2nd floor at Saigon Supermarket. I've been trying to find it since, and I'm so happy the owner is still making pho. No pho place matches this one in my opinion. This is a true hidden gem of Orange County and is so consistently good. They only make one thing and they make it well. I've been to the other pho locations with a similar name thinking it was this shop, but I'm so glad I finally found the original location!! Most authentic pho experience and freshest vegetables I've had :))

Delicious and sweet broth without condiments. Meat and shrimp egg rolls are crispy and perfectly seasoned. Friendly service, would recommend for takeout after grocery shopping.

Tom the owner is a very nice and friendly guy, welcomed us in and explained how he makes his pho, he specializes in beef pho and uses very very high end cuts of meat. The BEST Pho I have ever ate to this day, and very very reasonable price. I recommend getting the sugar cane juice and shrimp eggroll too. Drove all the way from riverside to try his pho and will come back for more !! -Luke

The pho here is so good! They are known for their meat and it not disappoint. It was very tender! I ate so fast, I forgot to take a picture... service is good too! They were very kind. Pho Akaushi is located inside the lucky seafood 2 supermaket! When you enter, make a left and it's all the way down the grocery store!

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

I found the food to have a great depth of flavor, something a lot of pho places lack. I especially liked the wider noodles which offered a nice chew and texture change.
