Ate here during grand opening night and boy was it packed. The pho was wonderful and the thai tea was the best I've ever had (most thai tea I get are overly sweet). As we came to the end of our meal, the restaurant slowly died down and I was able to talk to the waiters. They said it was so busy they didn't have time to take a lunch of bathroom break from opening to when we finished eating. Mad props to them. I was craving pho after visiting Ontario Mills so I decided to stop by this place. I'm so happy this place is close to home. The pho is very tasty. Broth is not too oily or full of MSG like other places. My friend got the vermicelli dish with barbeque pork and she loved it. The serving size is huge. Besides the great food, I'm impressed by the ambiance as well. Most pho places don't pay attention to the little details, but I appreciate that the owners went above and beyond with the decorations and art pieces. OVERALL 0 FLAVOR 0 AMBIENCE 0 WAIT 0 STAFF 0 LITERALLY THE WORST PHO EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. Growing up with a Vietnamese family and in a highly populated Vietnamese community I believe I know the difference between pho and phake. After a long day at escape some friends and I came here hoping to finally eat after 36 hours without food and this place was a huge disappointment. All looked well as we pulled up to the restaurant. Busy on a Saturday afternoon with lots of Asian customers, all good signs. But after thirty minutes of waiting -which considering the line was reasonable. As we got seated we ordered out drinks and pho. The three Thai teas came out and were lacking the half and half to leave the drink creamy. When mixed the tea turned a mahogany color!!! Definitely not a real Thai tea experience. Fifteen minutes passed and the waitress only gave three of the five waters we asked for leaving the other diners to be thirsty. Another fifteen minutes pass and still no pho! It does not take long to prepare a pho tai but thirty minutes was kind of pushing it. Diners who were seated after us had already been served. None of he waitresses came over to us during theses thirty minutes of waiting to check up on us. I had to flag them down asking for our waters and our food. I think they forgot about us or something because the waitresses gathered and talked all staring at us ... umm bye Felicia. Finally the food came out but there were no soup spoons. So the waitress went and got us regular spoons saying, "Are these okay? There are no more soup spoons in the back, and the only ones that are still available or at other peoples tables and I kind of don't want to go up to them and reach around them and ask them if I can get there spoons. Do you know what I mean it's kind of weird." Yes I am not kidding, this really freaking happened. Appalled I question the waitress saying that we do need soup spoons and I would not understand the reason why she could not retrieve them from the tables or in the kitchen. She continued to explain that all the spoons in the kitchen were dirty and she didn't want to get them cleaned and that she just didn't feel comfortable asking the other patrons if she could take their spoons from the containers that they were held on on the tables. I believe she finally realized my dismay and just decided to go ask one of the other customers if she could take spoons from the containers on their tables. Finally we were able to eat and my expectations were definitely not exceeded. The food was completely and utterly subpar, I could not even differentiate the food difference between a regular pho and a large. All of the soups only had three to maybe four thin slices of meat drowned in a huge bowl full of noodles and not much broth. The broth was relatively flavorless, mostly only tasting of salt. And I have never seen a bowl of noodles where the vermicelli was cut into pieces leaving the noodles to be incredibly short, I find this practice to be very untraditional an unpleasant leaving the consumer to have a difficult time slurping up the noodles. Finally unpleased with our meals, we decided to ask for a check which then took another 15 to 20 minutes to wave down a waitress. Definitely not worth the hype. I'm not sure if this is what good pho constitutes as in Ontario but at least in Garden Grove and Westminster this place would be rated a one star. I would highly recommend never ever coming here ever. read more

BEWARE!!! If you are a vegetarian, this is NOT the place for you! All the vegetarian items are not truly vegetarian!! The vegetarian pho is actually made in chicken broth. I consider myself kind of a Pho snob, and frequently try any new restaurants I discover. This place is absolutely a 5 star. Not all Pho is created equally, and this place outclasses both of its nearby competitors who I also tried. As with most places, the prices are very reasonable, and the "small" is more than enough food for an average person. I only got the actual Pho soup, but my buddy got another plate with rice and meat and it also looked great. I am from San Diego to find Pho in the Rancho Cucamonga isn't the easiest thing to do but they are out there.. After Yelping some places I came across this one.. read a few reviews and was ready to try it.. I have another by my place but it's a little more expensive and isn't any better than any other ones I've been to so I figured let's find one a little cheaper and maybe a little better.. Guess what I did.. I found it at Pho Bambu & Grill.. the place is small, cozy, and family owned. The food was good, came out quick. We had some Pho and ordered a couple of sandwiches to go. The Pho was good.. very flavorful and fresh and the Thai ice tea was great too.. the sandwiches weren't the best I've had but they were good.. I'll definitely come back to this place.. The pho here is truly as close as you can get to the one back in Vietnam that I got, it is DELICIOUS. The CBLL is amazing, and it has its own unique style, not like all the typical CBLL in other Pho restaurants. I think others having a hard time here with service because the grand opening day was busy. The service i got from this restaurant was very good. The servers here are friendly and helpful. For a long time since my move around the neighborhood I wanted to give this place a try. Never had pho before except tried to make it myself at home once. I remember drooling over the pictures that they put up outside their windows while I was ordering to go menu at the restaurant next door. There was even once, late one night went into the restaurant hoping to be seated but they said they were closing soon. So I had no luck. Yesterday, my craving to try this place once again came. But was shocked to find out bout the infestation news. Thank god for Yelp. Now I know never to set foot in this place ever again and for that matter any restaurant nearby. My husband and I were on our way to drop my dad off at Ontario airport. We wanted to catch a bite to eat with papa before he flew off to the east coast. Came across Pho BamBu. Upon entering, it is a pleasant atmosphere. Our waiter, James, was very polite. We explained we had a time limit due to my dad's flight. It wasnt busy, Our food arrived promptly and was deeeeelish. It was a rainy evening and perfect whether for a nice warm bowl of pho. The pho place that my family and I normally enjoy going to was closed, so we ended up yelping for a Pho place that wasn't too far from where we were at, and that's how we ended up at Pho BamBu. It had a four star rating so we figured, why not, let's try it out (must be good considering the four star). Off the bat, I didn't like that no one greeted us, not a "hello" or a smile. The host/waiter guy with the dark glasses just looked at us. We stood there waiting, and decided to just seat ourselves (smh), which then triggered him to follow us with menus. It then took awhile for him to notice that we were ready to order. The place wasn't even busy that night. There was only another couple sitting next to us and a family of four at another table (that was it)!! The pho and fried rice that we ordered was good, I'll give them that credit, but the spring rolls were definitely over priced for just three rolls which didn't have anything special in it but just a bunch of lettuce, noodles and 3 pieces of shrimp. We also put in an order for the durian drink and had to remind them twice that we hadn't gotten our drinks yet, and didn't get our drinks till close to finishing our dinner, and by that time we ended up just taking the drinks to go. The lady who brought our drinks out didn't even apologize about the delay, nor smile, instead she gave us this sour look. I also noticed that another yelper posted a picture, pointing out that this restaurant had a "B" rating. Aside from the food, customer service was just HORRIBLE!! I am such a Pho-lover - so when this place opened near my house, I was so excited to have pho only 5 mins. away! I am very pleased with this restaurant! The inside is very modern, clean and well-kept! The food is DELICIOUS! Always hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly. I have NEVER had to send anything back. And you get your order fairly quick after you place it. My only compliant is the service is a little slow. One of the things ppl repeatedly complained about here was lack of service. I came in expecting that. First I work at a company where the workers don't speak English like at all. Sometimes I'm intimitaded to approach them with my not so fluent Spanish speaking skills, sometimes (and I know it's wrong) I'll just turn the other way or search for my co worker who is more fluent than I. The old bald guy saw our drinks were half empty and was approaching us til he noticed our glasses were by the window and then went somewhere else. A Vietnamese family came in and they got good service cuz they all spoke the same language. In another situation I would give this business 2 or 3 stars but I understand. The younger guy served us well, he even brought out samples of the noodles so my bf and I could decide which noodle we wanted. He onli charged me for 1 Thai tea. And he made sure my bf's cup always had soda. The food was good. I got some soup and my boyfriend got somethin with the meat on top but it wasn't soup. He liked it. The friend rice and spring rolls were pretty good. I would definetly come back for the pho and the Thai tea. The soup tasted even better the next day. MAN! What can I say about this place!! Flat out amazing! Rare steak and Filet Pho is a STAPLE and a really solid go to for all seasons!! ONLY draw back is lunch time during the week is SUPER PACKED!!! Simple solution either get there before 12 or after 1pm. Yes I could pick them apart for there seemingly unorganized system but it is not for me to tell them how to run their business and I go for the food which even on the longest wait ever was 15 minutes that included waiting for a table and food to my table. Prices are fantastic as well. For $8 I think you get a nice sized bowl of Pho that will definitely hit the spot for lunch!! read more

Kind of a weird place. I ordered a roll, the shrimp one in the rice paper for an app and the chicken soup, small as my main. Literally, I mean literally 45 seconds later they brought out this huge boiling cauldron of soup. Where's my app, my water, my beer? They all came out in due time. It kind of worries me that the soup came out so quick. Everything was not really seasoned to well, but I doctored it all up with all the condiments they had at the table, so it ended up being pretty good. I couldn't finish anything, I could only imagine the size of the large soup. as I sat there, finished not eating, all the male servers were just kind of standing around staring at me, it was a little creepy. I sat there for a while and finally the young female server came over with my check, even though I never asked for it. Weird place, but ok I guess, after I finished seasoning everything. I ordered the #31 - charbroiled pork, baked minced meat & egg, and shrimp paste on rice. It was a good sized portion and the pork was very flavorful. Normally, I'm not a fan of shrimp paste because it just tastes like imitation shrimp grounded up & mashed into an odd little shape, but this one actually tasted pretty good. A couple of friends and I went in to try the phō and a older couple went in at the same time. We literally sat and waited for 30 mins and didn't even get offered a glass of water let alone what we wanted to order. We made eye contact plenty of times and mind you, the restaurant wasn't very busy. After 30 mins of disappointment my friend and I left. Yay!! Just found another great Pho place in the IE! I got to know Pho when living out in LA County and when I moved back here, I was extremely bummed out by a lack of variety in food... I thought the pho was good but the services was horrible. I came in with a group of 4 including myself. The first thing they do is sit the group that was behind us first. They only had one waiter taking orders and a couple cleaning tables. So it took way to long to get their attention. Also when they finally brought our pho they forgot one of my group members pho because they gave it to another table so she had to wait for them to make a new one. After finally getting the attention of a worker to bring us a container for the pho the worker dropped the container on one of my group members looked at her walked away and didn't say sorry. They need more waiters and to focus more on the customers. read more

The broth for the pho is delicious. The spring rolls are decent also. I got a pho tai sach to go and I had double the amount of broth I needed for the noodles, and a good amount of meat with the noodles. Right down the street from my work, I'll definitely be back. read more

I have been here on multiple occasions, to meet a friend near the area and also with my family when we are in the Ontario area. The pho broth is amazing! I tried the chicken pho once and wasn't a fan, because the chicken tasted bland/dry. The beef pho is really good though! Prices are fair for what you get. Parking is never an issue. Staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful, without bothering you while you eat :) Another bonus is that it's really close to the Ontario Mills Outlet Mall! Good food, I have gone twice so far and I can't remember how long it took the 1st time to get my food but this last weekend I went at night. It took so long and I only order seafood pho. My drink was expensive for it not being so big. The staff really don't understand or speak English so it was hard to communicate. Besides that the food was delicious! read more
