Unfortunate to see what Lauren S. posted but nonetheless, I feel like that's the risk you take when eating out. Not that you ask for it. Anyway, I've eaten here ~10 times as of this writing for a two reasons. 1) I love pho and 2) It's superbly close to where I work, Tysons. It's not as good as making the trek to Pho Hot in Annandale or a handful of pho restaurants on/off of Rte. 50 but it's not bad at all. Price is a bit high as a large bowl of pho dac biet (w/meatballs of course) and an order of spring rolls will run you ~$15 but what options does a brotha really have? I'm not sitting in traffic when I want something hearty and quick. Spring rolls and summer rolls have also been good here. Haven't tried anything else yet. read more

I tried this place because it was close to a job that I had in McLean. Pho Deluxe's seating and decor is a little nicer than many pho places in and around NOVA as they have booths in addition to four-person restaurant tables. You could have a business lunch or lunch date here without being embarrassed by Pho 75 high school cafeteria-like seating. I ordered the small/regular sized tai chin (eye of round steak and well done brisket) pho with extra raw tai on the side. The quantity was appropriate, meats were good, the broth was solid but not great (I prefer very clear broth) and the price was ok. They are a little tight with their accompaniments and the accompaniments are just the basics. The service was good. Bottom line is that this is one of the few real pho spots in Tysons area so it is worth a try if you are in the area. Pho Matrix has spoken. read more

I have ordered from here carry out before, but never actually ate at the restaurant. So my best friend and I decide to go, the minute we walk in we are not even greeted, from a distance all we hear is "table for two" and we said yes and she just tosses two menus on the table and says "here." We go sit down and order while bracing ourselves because she continues to just throw things at us, burning hot tea and pho. She brings the receipt over and I went to pay. She came to our table to pick up the receipt after I signed it and then brought it back and said, "oh you need to add a tip." I almost lost it, but instead laughed it off. I didn't look at reviews before coming in. I've been traveling all day and just wanted some nice pho. When I got there it took 10 minutes to get seated when it was empty. The water had a seaweed like taste. I ordered the large tofu pho and there were 4 quarter sized pieces of tofu and had very little noodles. This is our favorite spot in the area for pho. The grilled pork is awesome, the pho is delicious, and when we're feeling crazy some spring rolls or bubble tea. We often do take out but some times eat in and have a good experience either way. Keep In mind, pho restaurants are not known for their service, if you expect to be serviced efficiently you'll get it. You want reasonably priced delicious vietnamese food? I've never had a bad experience here and have been here a handful of times. I actually enjoy the pho and find it more flavorful than most places I've been to recently. Of course it ain't no Pho Sate but when you work in Tysons and can't take that much time, Pho Deluxe is definitely worth a visit. My co-workers and I enjoy the crispy spring rolls and crispy shrimp triangles, perfect for sharing. Bottom line is if you're craving pho, short on time and work in Tysons, Pho Deluxe is worth a shot. Also the service has always been great when we've gone and it's always been extremely busy with people waiting out the door. NOTE: Anyone that orders pho ga, is asking for flavorless chicken broth. Call me petty, but I used to order take-out lunch from here pretty often because I work in the same building, but I've stopped coming for a couple reasons. One of them is NOT the food. I've had their pho once and their beef with rice dishes a couple times, and the food was always good and just the right amount for me. However they used to offer a discount for everyone who worked in the building and one day just stopped doing so. Also I've found that when I've called to place a takeout order, they would have me on hold long enough that I should have just gone down and ordered in person. Even when I've placed an order on the phone, I've waited 5-10 minutes past their quoted time for my food to be ready. They always used to let me put Sriracha on my food before leaving with my order, and then one day told me not to and that I could buy a little plastic cup of it for $.25. I wouldn't have minded except I had put the sauce on my takeout food at least 5 times without them having a problem with it before, and now I'm supposed to pay for the equivalent of a teaspoon of it...no thanks. read more

It was convenient and nearby work. I am a HUGE fan of salt but my noodles (number 78 no bean sprouts) but it tasted like I was eating noodles stir fried with a gallon of salt. The lady who rang me up was nice and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant looked nice and modern. I don't have time to eat there during lunch but wouldn't mind it. Probably something without a gallon of salt next time though. I would like to try their bun thit nuong and egg rolls but my breath would stink for work so I will save that for one weekend. read more

The food is okay but nothing amazing. It tastes like it was all toned down for an American palate. I had the pho ga. The broth was lacking enough traditional spices and tasted like plain chicken broth. I had a mango bubble tea which was pretty good though. I couldn't understand a word the waiter said and he was sort of rude as if he was mad that we couldn't understand him. Pleasant spot for bowl of nourishing warm pho and a sweet bubble tea shake, but fine dining this is not. It was a cold rainy day and after running errands, I wanted a chance to sit down and warm up. The meal was pleasant, the ambiance average and the service minimal. I did not expect more, so all is well. This place needs to remove " deluxe" from its name. Dropped by for lunch and was very disappointed. The female greeter, probably the owner, showed a very unhappy face seated us, and she took a long while to give us water. The gave us a very bad feeling. Now, to the food. The pho looked appealing, but the broth was not very flavorful. As for the spring rolls, they were not bad, although not outstanding. During my lunch, the water was never refilled, notwithstanding the fact that the place was not busy. When time came for the check, I reluctantly gave a little more than 12% because she did not earn it; what upset me more was the preprinted tips on the check started at 15%. When I left, the first thing she looked at was how much tip I left and not a word of thank you. Well, this is not the place I want to spent my hard earned money and being unhappy. So, I am finished with this terrible place. Now, I want to observe and see how long it will remain in business. read more

Late nights in the office during the winter time means that I quite often get a hankering for a bowl of pho. Yelp & google research led me to this place, and my coworker and I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, we were both left underwhelmed by the food. There's nothing wrong with the place - it's clean, well lit, prompt with both service & food. There's two bowl sizes - small and large. The small was large enough for me to be satisfied and still have leftovers. Prices were okay, not great.. $8 for a small. The pho itself had all the regular choices of cuts of meat but the taste just didn't leave a lasting impression. The broth is not too heavy, but it didn't have the authentic pho flavors that I've come to expect. In our hour plus at the restaurant, there were only 2 other sets of patrons, so perhaps I'm not alone in my assessment of the place. If i'm every really, really desperate for another bowl of pho while stuck in Tysons, I may give this place another shot .. but chances are low. read more

I came here because Pho 7 (my frequent Tyson's pho spot) had closed early because it was the owner's birthday. I arrived to Pho Deluxe one hour before close. When I asked the waitress for a seat, she told me that the kitchen had already started shutting down--mind you, it still was an hour before close. I could feel she was reluctant to seat me, but who tells a paying costumer "no?" She rushes to take my order which I don't care about because I frequent pho and always know what I want. The pho was decent. The noodle to broth ratio was all off though. For a large bowl, I'm used to getting 2 nests of vermicelli, but only got 1 with their bowl. I was mid-way done and she almost took my bowl from me. Clearly there was more to eat. Pho is hot and not everyone slurps it down in 5 minutes. She left and immediately brought me back my check. I came here at the recommendation of a coworker for the Pho(Soup) and it was pretty good. I'm not a big Pho(Soup) person so I was a bit uneasy about ordering it for lunch but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a good spot to get out of the office and the dumpling were good too. read more

I'm not a Pho expert but I do eat Pho a lot. At least once a week, sometimes twice. I've probably been to most of the Pho places in the area and this place was disappointing and probably the worst pho I've had to date. First. The service is horrible. Took forever to place my order, the staff was not friendly then took forever to get the check. Second the Pho broth lacked serious flavor and tasted like water. Absolutely no flavor. You know how at the end of finishing ur bowl of Pho there is always a bunch of seasonings, pepper, onions, cilantro pieces? on the bottom of the bowl? Well here there were none. And that's probably one of the contributing factors to lack of flavor. Third, I don't know what they did to the meat but it did not taste right. This is the first place I have never finished all the meat before. It tasted low quality, dry and a weird flavor not to mention I got the #31 which brought everything and I got ONE piece of soft tendon. One star by default and one extra because the place was clean I guess. Feeling generous. Doubt I'll ever return unless someone drags me here.. read more

Found this pho place while looking for pho near Tysons Corner. Glad I did! Decently priced for a large bowl of pho with tai and gan. The spring rolls are freshly fried, golden and crispy. It is tucked away off of Leesburg Pike near the Spring Hill metro, in the ground level of what looks to be a corporate building. It has tons of parking, which is super convenient. The broth is hot and tasty, not as light as the pho broth I have had in Hanoi, but not as deep as some of the other (more Southern, I am told?) broths of other DC area pho spots. The cuts of meat are fresh, and the tendon I received was nice and soft. A good spot for a soothing weekend daytime meal before hitting the stores or running errands. read more

Popped in for lunch the other day. Ordered the grilled pork summer roll, a large bowl of pho and a coke. The coke never arrived, but the lunch crowd was picking up and they took it off the bill, so no big deal. The summer role was tasty and a nice size. The large bowl of pho was also plenty of food. It lacks something--almost like it was too lean compared to other pho I've enjoyed. With Pho, you doctorate the soup how you like it: add lime, basil, been curds, sriacha, plum sauce (actually, I think it's not plum sauce, but I don't remember what it really is), etc... So when I say the pho lacks something, maybe I'm really saying I didn't do a good job. read more

Staying at the comfort inn. Very close by, so figured that I would give it a try. The price was reasonable. The restaurant was clean. The waitress was very nice. The pho was fresh and tastes very good. I also had the summer shrimp rolls and they were very fresh and flavoful. Once they took and delivered my order I was pretty much on my own, though. Hasn't returned for a while because the bad service. This time even the pho noodle is not as good. The middle age waitress is very loud and the service is not attentive. Getting worse. Reluctantly went there again after last review. I just do not understand how this place isn't being shut down. We were walking in a fridge with space heater. Waiters wore winter coat. We couldn't find a table that is not cold. Waiter told us they only have space heater, there's no heat in this restaurant. They told us last winter, they didn't even has space heater. I don't understand how this place is passed for inspection without heat. The noodle was already cooled down when it delivered to the table. More disappointment about the portion, it became less than last time. Looks like they are not going to last long. read more

Been here a few times. None of my experiences were amazing all mediocre at best. The food is so so and the pho is no good per my friend. And the drunk he had definitely didn't sit well with him. I got a rice plate and it was soso. Rice seemed a little old and the meat and shrimp wasn't to flavorful. They have many things going against them but the killer is that they dint follow what they advertise abs have horrible customer service. I walk in to get my wings and no one acknowledges me they are busy eating and taking in vietnamese. Second I can during happy hour abd they charged me for full price without the 25% discount as advertised. I didn't mention it to see if they have any integrity but they dint have any as business owners. And I get 8 pieces of chicken for 8 dollars what a rip off. I recommend everyone to go to four sisters. Better food. Way better. Prices are better and service is better too read more

The BEST bubble tea. Tapioca bubbles were the perfect consistency and was suuuuper fresh. I got the coconut bubble tea and it's soooooo yummy. A little bit different as it's more like a smoothly with ground up ice rather than ice cubes like I usually get when I order bubble tea. But it's very very good. Didn't try any of their food either but it looks awesome! Next time I go back in I may have to just order some food to go as well. read more

I ordered from here for a small event and everyone was really surprised by the taste and quality: stir-fried yellow noodles, fried rice (O.M.G. the fried rice!) and vermicelli. The crispy rolls were excellent and you don't get that greasy taste from other places. We also ordered Vietnamese pudding for dessert and it was the perrrrfect level of sweetness. read more

Im really angry. I just left. I came here today (12/17/18) at 8:48 PM. The server at that time, an older lady said that they are only accepting take out. She pointed at a sign that says kitchen closes at 9:15PM. I got really mad because I came thinking that they close at 9:30 so it shouldnt be a problem dining in. This place is really tucked away in an office building and cannot be seen from the road. But it's in the building with Potbelly's. Their crispy spring rolls were pretty good. It came out hot and crispy and it had good fillings. The pho was not bad. Decent quality of meat but the soup wasn't piping hot. A small bowl costs $8 and $9 for large. I'd come again. A good mix of delicious pho and great dining environment. The wait staff were also quite friendly. I got the pho tai and the pork and shrimp spring rolls. For the pho, the beef came out red, which is always a plus! It was also flavorful. The noodle texture was on-point. The broth was also good, tasted closer to homemade than some of the other joints in the area. However my only concern with the broth is that the flavor was quite dilute. I'm one who prefers filling the flavor void with meat rather than spice flavor, though, so I still think it still deserves 4 stars! Oh, and the portion size was just right (i.e. the large was actually large). The pork and shrimp spring roll was ok, enough fresh greens, but not enough pork or shrimp, and the noodles were a little hard. A big positive is the decor and ambiance of the restaurant itself. It is more upscale-looking than a typical pho restaurant, even appropriate for a date, but still casual and with the usual affordable pho prices. read more

You know how when it's cold outside, nothing hits the spot like a warm bowl of pho. You walk up to the door of the restaurant and the windows are all foggy, and when you step inside, everyone is hunched over steaming bowls of noodles and it smells amazing? Well, it was nothing like that. I ordered pho #40 with flank steak and brisket and noticed there was no flank steak when I was mining for some little shreds of brisket among the skimpy noodles, thin broth and utter dearth of scallions. So I waited for our waiter to ask to correct the order. Waited.... waited... finally gave up and ate. When he at last came by to pick up our plates his explanation was that people don't like flank so they stopped serving it months ago. When we questioned him, he just kept repeating this mantra. When we asked for a manager, said there wasn't one. Twilight zone. Menu does not reflect the food provided. They do not seem to think this disconnect is an issue. read more
