The place is nicer on the inside than it looks on the outside. It's still simple, but there are plenty of tables and overall tidy. We came during lunchtime and ordered beef pho lunch special, banh mi beef, and veggie pho. The lunch special ($13) comes with an egg roll and jasmine iced tea. The pho on its own is usually $13. The beef broth in the pho is incredibly flavorful! I would usually add the chili sauce and hoisin to my pho, but I didn't to this one because it was so tasty. The beef pho also had a lot of beef in it. Great value. For the veggie pho, you could choose between vegan or beef broth. I went with beef broth (I typically get veggie pho bc I like tofu and lots of veggies). The veggie pho was overloaded with veggies, including bok choy, red/green cabbage, carrots, zucchini, and broccoli. The banh mi had a lot of beef in it, but not a lot of the pickled vegetable topping (carrot, cilantro, etc). The bread was good, but not excellent. Overall, not super impressive. Had this as a last resort pho dinner, by far the worst pho I have ever had in my life. The rare beef pho could not have been beef. The meat must have been expired, and the noodles were dark brown. A friend recommended Pho Ever, so I decided to give it a try via door dash. I love pho and being that I grew up eating made from scratch pho, I'm very picky. I also love a good Banh Mi, which is hard to find outside of Westminister. Pho comes in Reg, Large and XL. I ordered the XL and also was able to select the heat level, I went with med. I had not had the option before I believe its around the chili oil the use. It was something my friend mentioned and was he so right, wow the oil adds something special to the broth. The Pho was spot on, the broth was so good, i used the leftover to do another soup the next day with upon noodles. So tasty. The combo Banh Mi was lovely. It all starts with the bread and its perfect at Pho Ever. Delicious pickled veggies, generous portions of pate and all those other meats. The texture in the sandwich is layered well, the crunch of the bread, the soft saltiness of the meats, the crunch of the pickled veggies and the bit of cilantro to drive it all home. It was so good I ate it after finishing my Pho. The store is being remodeled and is reopening 2/4/2022. I know because I tried to order the other day and it was closed, I messaged them on FB to find out when they reopen. Since my first order, I ordered 4 more times, lol. It's a good Vietnamese restaurant in Gardena but the location was a little sketchy. The restaurant itself is interesting, it looked like it was a either Korean BBQ or Japanese BBQ place. There are small rooms with vents on top. In terms of food, the appetizer spring rolls was on the small side, peanut sauce was really tasty. The pho was on the salty side, in general it's tasty and with a lot of meat, the noodle texture was nice. The bahn mi was okay, I liked that they toasted the baguette, but the beef brisket was a little too sweet for me. We also order the Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea, both tasted good, pretty sweet but they add to much ice that I feel we only get less than half of the cup of the drink. read more

Food was good but service has definitely suffered in the last four years. I miss the friendly, attentive service used to have. When we came with our toddler used to have small baskets with smaller plastic utensils and had food scissors to cut pho noodles for kids. They also would get our no onions requests right. Plus no strange crazed man yelling at restaurant guests. If you dont have an option go here but I'll be sticking to the OG place in Ktown. read more

I had been craving a pork banh mi and stumbled upon pho ever in Gardena! It satisfied my craving but I still feel it was missing something. Maybe it was the bread that lacked a crisp or the meat, which was flavorful but a little too chewy for my liking. I also got a Thai tea, which was great. How can you mess up a Thai tea?! If you're looking for a hearty, spicy, lemon-y, heartwarming bowl of soup then this is it! The meat was tender and tasty, the broth was spicy and rich in flavor. Delighted by our Wednesday takeout. Had the shrimp spring rolls. We all agreed with the peanut sauce these were some of the best we've had. We shared the large pho with rare and done brisket. Very nicely flavored. Large amount of rice noodles with lovely toppers of jalapeños, sprouts, lime, herbs, hoisin, sirachi, etc. We were given a grub hub gift and this certainly proved to be a great place to use it. The soups were amazing and well spiced/flavored. I loved that we had semi-private booths too. Harsh white lights aren't good for me, but they had warmly lit lighting which made me feel very comfortable. The girls were very nice too! The chicken pho and chicken eggrolls were amazing. Don't get me wrong I love Phoever but I came in close to 7 to eat with my daughters just to be told they were closed already but I could do take out. All signs show they close at 8 ... I was prepared to leave since another table was just getting their food but my little girls really wanted to eat this so we ordered to go. Going there close to closing was possibly part of the issue but we frequent this place quite a bit (as you can gather from my reviews) and this time it was off. - Too much oil in both bowls - Brisket pho broth was thick, very peanuty tasting - I didn't realize beef noodle bowl is thick noodles (perhaps this can be indicated on theenu as it's under the pho section. Pho Never again! The place has a nice layout but that's about it. Ordered the combination Pho extra spicy. Not spicy at all. I think they pretty much just added a bunch of chili oil so it just made it super oily and all it did was alter the aroma and the flavor and not in a good way. Didn't notice any tendon or tripe so I told the waitress and she told the cook and they sent out ONE piece of tendon. So I told the original guy who took my order and he came over and said the combo usually only comes with ONE piece of tendon. Very disappointing!!! One piece of tendon?!?? Really? You might as well not even offer it if you're going to give one small piece. I guess it's my fault for ordering the wrong thing. I definitely wasn't impressed. Missing flavors of pho (cinnamon, star anise, cardamom, cloves, ginger) that we know and love. Judging by other reviews here, it looks like they have made their veggie pho this way for years. The broth was spicy and delish as it looked on the pics. Pho-Ever was nice enough to even provide a cute cutout on how to Reheat your food! Worst customer service ever!!! I ordered pho, egg rolls and sesame balls. Picked it up and went home. After I was done with the pho and eggrolls I realized that the sesame balls were missing. I wasn't going to drive all the way back there last night so I went today. Lady tells me that since I went through Yelp, I have to contact them to get a refund. I told her why can't I just get the sesame balls now? She said I couldn't and I would have to get a refund. I told her that it doesn't make sense. Yelp must have paid them for my order so why can't I just get the sesame balls now? She tells me because I already got the rest of my order? I told her that makes no sense. I wasn't going to argue any longer because I know I wasn't getting anywhere with her. If that's their policy, that is a strange policy in my opinion. I can't even find a place to apply for a refund on Yelp. Over one order of sesame balls, you just lost a customer forever because I will be Pho Ever disappointed. read more

Our food was delivered pretty quickly after ordering. - Egg rolls were fine, nothing too stellar - Pho was subpar. Broth tasted sweet and was missing the rich beefy flavor of other phos I've had. - Vermicelli was ok, the sauce was also sweet and definitely needed more fish sauce and lime. - Veg platter was a little lacking.. could have used a bit more of everything (sprouts, lime, and Thai basil) - Iced coffee was tasty!
