Out in the area where I'm staying Pho is hard to come by. My co-workers took me here and I was really surprised. I had never been to this part of LA before but now I know where all the Vietnamese places are bunched together. The soup base was not greasy and pretty dang tasty. I've had authentic Vietnamese num nums and at least the Pho came close. The spring rolls were rolled very loosely and kind of messy to eat, the peanut sauce was very washed out and did not have very much flavor and the consistency was kind of watery. I will come her again to try the vermicelli, rice dishes and fried egg rolls. Until then this place gets a solid 3 stars. read more

Went here for the first time and was not impressed. It's super hot and stuffy in this restaurant. Not good environment for serving food. The table smelled as if they wiped it down with a damp cloth that was not dry and clean. Service is super slow eventhough the restaurant was not full of people. I come here once in awhile as an alternative to Saigon Dish when they are super busy, which is just on the other side of this plaza. But as far as Pho House, I don't like being charged for sliced onions when Saigon Dish gives it for free upon request. That's enough for me not to come here. Otherwise the pho was good. read more

Was an expertly crafted meal with many complimenting flavors. Filet mignon was nice and tender and pulled apart at contact, the broth was lightly seasoned which allowed the onions and meat to add their flavor, and the noodles were finely cut. Definitely coming back. read more

Having recently located to the South Bay from Orange County, I've been in search for a decent pho place to eat. Let me tell you, this is not the place to go to. I'm not a pho connoisseur but I do consume a lot of pho. Cons: Pho Combo bowl does not come with tripe They do not serve culantro (ngo gai) with their garnishes And the cardinal sin of them all was when I asked for the fatty soup (nuoc beo) on the side, the owner had no idea what I was talking about. The bowl of soup was a good size but definitely not enough meat in my bowl of pho. Pros: Cheap, $6 for a large bowl is decent price Soup was decent, I've had horrible experience with eating Korean pho places in the past, this actually tasted like pho soup. They give you a plate of fruit at the end, we got a slice of canteloupe I'm really not sure how this place got high reviews. If you are in a search of an authentic bowl of pho, you best look elsewhere. I would suggest trying Pho Hoa over on Marine/Prairie . read more
