The Pho Tai (pictured here) is my favorite. It's flavorful, comforting, and consistent every time.

Finally got around to trying Pho Kim Long after hearing about it for a while. I stopped by for lunch with a coworker and the restaurant was really packed and lively, but luckily a party had just finished so we were seated quickly. The waitresses and waiters were attentive and brought us menus and water right away. I ordered the #1 combo pho and overall really enjoyed it. The broth was flavorful without being overly rich or oily like I expected after reading some reviews. I also appreciated that the broth wasn't too sweet, which seems to be the trend at a lot of pho spots lately. I'd give the pho a 3.5/5 overall. The main downside for me was that the noodles were a little overcooked and softer than I personally prefer, but the broth itself was quite good and definitely the highlight of the meal. I would definitely want to come back to try it again with other friends!

My family and I love this place. It's super close to my work and we frequently come here for dinner after their sports or school events. Their portions are hearty, whether it be a rice plate or a bowl of pho. Today we ordered two bowls of pho, some spring rolls; and fried egg rolls. Be ready to order as they will approach you quickly after seating you. It's very clean, since it was remodeled several years ago. We were in and out in no time and our tummies were full and content.

Kim Long Restaurant is the best of restaurants I have eaten in Bay Area. Cơm tấm sườn bò Korean BBQ and bún thịt nướng tôm nướng chả giò are very delicious and fresh meat no fat. We recommend you come to try it. We will come back soon

This restaurant has been serving the San Jose area forever. They are known for their bun cha, which, in my opinion, is better than what you get in the famous restaurant that served president Obama. The pho is also solid; the broth is packed with flavor, and they use high-quality meat. This place can get crowded; however, it's not a bad wait at all. Even though the place is super busy, the workers keep the restaurant clean. Highly recommend if you haven't tried it out yet!

My absolute favorite pho spot--always recommend this spot whenever a friend asks for good Vietnamese food in the Bay Area. I know people who drive all the way across the bay to eat here. As any authentic Viet place, service is average, but the food is always consistent and comes out quickly. The place is usually pretty busy, sometimes with a line outside the door. Simple, no frills atmosphere. My favorite thing to get here is the Bun Thit Nuong--the pork is delicious, fatty, with grill marks, and I always crave it when I'm home. The egg rolls (cha gio) is classic delicious Vietnamese egg rolls, which I consider the best kind of egg rolls (tied with Lumpia). My parents enjoy the Pho here, and my dad usually asks to go here for celebrations. As they were born in Vietnam, I'd say it's a pretty good compliment.

I have been a hater of Pho Kim Long for the longest time because I do not like their pho or any of the noodle soup dishes. I am picky and their noodles are just way too overcooked for my liking and their broth is mid. However, all their other dishes that are not noodle soup are amazing! I usually for the bun cha Hanoi. The savory yet sweet fish sauce with charred grilled pork belly and that big piece of bouncy meatball is so delicious! Their cha ca va long is tasty too, they don't skimp on the herbs and peanuts which is a must for this dish. I recently got to tried their pho ap chao (with crispy blocked noodles) and I think I will add that to my rotation of dishes to order from here. If you are looking for the best pho, this place ain't it but if you are looking to try other amazing Vietnamese food, they have a good selection here!

Delicious food and fast service! Especially a fan of their turmeric fish dish! It comes with vermicelli, veggies, peanuts, crackers and rice paper wraps as well as sauce. So delicious and flavorful! I feel like each portion can serve up to 4 people, depending on how hungry you are! Definitely a unique Vietnamese dish (:

I've been coming here 22 years ago, can't believe they are still here serving the same pho. Only difference is they remodeled and the pho is 2.5x the price now. The good ole days when their regular was $6! lol. Now for about $16-$18 ish. Place was thankfully empty when we came in. We didn't have to wait and got seated right away. Ordered my rare beef and tendon pho. The broth was good. Southern style. Fragrant and beefy. Beef was soft and not chewy. The tendon was something I didn't like here. It tasted super inky. I told my husband and he said it's probably because they didn't clean it well. Everything else was good. Small lot for parking. In busy plaza.

A solid choice if looking for a comforting meal of pho in the winters. I liked their chicken pho so much that I dined here thrice in a month, thanks to the cold winter evenings. They have a plenty of tables for dine-in and I was honestly surprised that the tables were completely occupied on a Thursday evening. It seems to have been around for years but I was only recently introduced to it. It has now become one of my fav pho places in Milpitas. Their service is quick, staff is nice and the quality and taste of dishes is consistent. I tried their chicken pho and would recommend it. The broth had the right amount of flavor and the texture of the noodles was good. The size is pretty good too. I also tried one of their rice plates with bbq pork, but I liked the pho more than the rice plate. The pork was cooked well but quantity was less. I would be coming back here again for their pho and definitely to recommend it to others.

Service was very fast. We were seated right away. The ambiance looked clean and bright and there was staff coming around to fill the sauces on the tables. Parking is easy and right in front with a big lot. Food is chefs kiss!!!!! I would definitely come back for number 1. The broth flavor and meats are just SO good and plentiful. The beef short rib was too tendony for my liking and ended up wishing I didn't try something new. (The beef with the big bone that sticks out) Passion fruit soda was bombbbbb. I was pleasantly surprised with the drink order. Give them a try!!!

Been hearing that this place has long lines since I last reviewed it. Thankfully the day I came with my coworkers there was ample seating before the crowds took over. By the time we left there really was a line out the door. Really like the broth and noodles in my soup, and their passionfruit drink with real passionfruit was really good too. So is their Thai Tea. My coworkers each got their own soup and one even ordered stir fried noodles. They get the soup bowls out real quick so this place is both fast, good, and reasonably priced. Wish it were closer to SF!

My go to pho place in San Jose! The flavors, service, and speed is immaculate. I always get the number 13, and it is incredible. I love their appetizers and their boba drinks as well. Great place to come with colleagues for a quick bite. Even though they have a line out the door, they do amazing at getting people in and out quickly. 10/10 recommend trying it out!

It remains crispy even if it's been sitting for a bit (as long as you air it out) and if you reheat it in the air fryer, it's still crisp! The net egg rolls or regular are wonderfully crispy and flavorful. The nem nuong is the best I've had, just like the OG spot in SoCal. The garlic noodles are so chewy and garlicky in the best way. It had minced shrimp (more like crumbles), friend pork rinds pieces, and green onions. I like that they used shrimp instead of mung bean paste. Between Saigon and Hanoi, I went on a full-blown bánh cuốn quest, trying different spots almost daily. Street stalls, little hole-in-the-wall shops, famous spots--you name it. At some point I stopped being a tourist and became a rice-roll inspector. So yeah... my standards are unfortunately very high now. The best bánh cuốn I had in Vietnam was paper thin and almost translucent, with this delicate chew that somehow breaks apart and melts in your mouth. That's the texture I'm chasing. Coming back here, the rice sheets were noticeably thicker and didn't have that same delicate texture. They also weren't as fresh and warm as I remembered, which makes a huge difference with bánh cuốn. This is one of those dishes that's at its best when the sheets are freshly steamed and hit your table warm. The meat filling was also underwhelming and not nearly as flavorful or savory as another bánh cuốn spot I've had in San Jose. With a dish this simple, there's nowhere to hide--the rice sheet, filling, freshness and nước mám chấm (fish sauce) all have to work together. It's certainly not bad, and I can understand why people enjoy it. But after eating my way through Saigon and Hanoi in pursuit of the perfect bánh cuốn, this one is kinda meh for me now. My old review gave this place 4 stars. Vietnam ruined me.

Unfortunately, the service was not very welcoming--the staff came across as blunt, impatient, and at times rude--but I could have overlooked that if the food had fully lived up to the hype. The broth made a good first impression and clearly included many of the right spices, although it was also quite salty. As I got further into the bowl, however, the flavor started to feel flat and lacked the rich, slow-simmered depth I expect from a restaurant that specializes in this dish. It tasted more heavily seasoned than deeply developed, so experienced bún bò Huế fans may find it underwhelming. The meat was also not as tender as I would have liked, and the congealed blood--usually my favorite part--was overcooked and dry rather than smooth and tender. The visible holes suggested it may have been cooked too quickly at too high a temperature. Overall, the meal was decent and had some good flavors, but the broth, meat, and service did not meet my expectations. The bahn cuon here is really good -- the rice noodle is so fresh and soft and chewy. This was my favorite and the variety was so appreciated as well! It's also surprisingly filling and I would definitely get this next time I'm here. The fish sauce was also delicious as well. (this is in reference to the dish Banh Cuon Tay Ho Dac Biet) Bahn Beo were good sizes and nicely steamed. I wish there was a bit more sauce because I was running out at the end. Toppings are appropriately sized as well Personal take, I didn't really enjoy the fried pork rind topping as much and would have liked more shrimp, but once again, personal preference. I didn't quite enjoy the Hu Tieu, but my friend liked the soup! It's a little too plain for me. I do love the feeling and texture of eating thick, round rice noodles. The banh xeo that came on the side was hard to crunch through, I felt like it was probably sitting on the side for a while. Vibes were nice -- there's a call button to ask for service. Menu has a lot of items as well (e.g. pho, rice plates, etc), so there's something for everyone if you come with a big group! Our server was also really attentive and sweet -- he came by and asked if we wanted additional dishes/bowls since we were sharing food!

I ordered their egg rolls and banh beo for catering which came with lots of fresh herbs/lettuce, fish sauce, and other toppings. Pricing was very affordable as well for the quality. I have also frequently gone into their store to enjoy a nice plate of com tam or bun thit nuong which has always been great. They provide their nuoc mam/fish sauce on the table and always are attentive. Restaurant is large and can accommodate a bunch of tables. Parking is also on a big plaza so didn't have trouble parking.

It's not outstanding, but it's definitely enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service ruined the experience. As soon as I sat down, I hadn't even had a chance to look through the whole menu before the server kept touching my shoulder and repeatedly pressured me to order. I found it very rude and uncomfortable because I really don't like strangers touching me. The older lady did it to everyone in our table, and she didn't seem to realize she was making our entire group uncomfortable, and it affected our whole dining experience. So, would I come back? Absolutely not. One visit was more than enough. I'm not willing to deal with that kind of pushy service again.
