Gave this spot a try late at night and it hit the spot. Between four people, we shared an appetizer and two entrees which was the perfect amount of food. Though the menu is limited, everything is very delicious. We built our own custom pho and ordered a sizzling plate for the table. The pho broth was not too heavy and came with a generous portion of noodles. The sizzling plate didn't come with as much protein as we would have liked but was still enjoyable. I'm on my way to pho PaPa and I saw this restaurant on Capital expressway. I thought I should try this one even though I've never heard of it. I ordered pho ribs, but the ribs were so chewy, I couldn't eat them. They need to cook at least a few more hrs to soften and tender! The broth was ok, nothing special, just ok. Restaurant looks nice and clean. The service was ok... I won't come back. There are many better options for pho in San Jose! read more

There aren't many Pho places in South San Jose that I enjoy, but Pho Now is an exception! I love the colorful and modern vibes and decor and they offer Pho, Vermicelli Bowls, and Sizzling Rice Plates. The Beef Pho is super tasty. The fresh noodles held together very well and didn't fall apart. The quality of the tender beef is on par with other pho spots in the area, and the broth was rich, flavorful, and comforting. They also serve a special Wok-Seared Beef Pho that is different from other Pho spots and I love the good char smoke flavor from the wok and the beef was super tender! The one dish I've tried and didn't enjoy or recommend is the Chicken Pho. The two times I tried, the chicken is super tough! I'd stick to the Beef Pho. read more

I was so impressed with the quality of their food, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the warmth of the staff! March 13, 2026 I saw on FB that Pho Now had a free spring roll/egg roll appetizer with a 2 main dish purchase. That was enough to give them another chance to redeem themselves. Hopefully their pho broth would be flavorful. NOPE, I shouldn't have wasted a trip there. All in our party of 3 tasted the soup before adding any condiments, and again there was no taste whatsoever! How does this happen? I've watched many YT videos of how pho broth is made with a lot of ingredients and spices. How does it turn out like hot water??? Terrible no taste, no matter how much hoisen sauce or Sriracha sauce I added. $19.95 for a large bowl, plus $1.00 extra for fresh noodles. No thanks. NEVER going back to Pho Now. read more

Right when we walked in, we got seated. The restaurant was clean and lively. There was nice music playing as well as tvs on both walls which was nice while you're awaiting for something to do. Stopped by this pho spot on the way back from SF to OC and it was amazing! I loved their mini eggrolls and their filet mignon pho. The crispiness of the eggrolls was perfect and the pho broth was so flavorful. I also tried the sizzling grilled pork, rice and egg and it was delicious. It's nice that there is a pho place in this area, however, with so many Vietnamese places around that aren't far of a drive, Pho Now probably won't be my go to place. The flavor/quality, price, and portion wasn't anything special. We came late on a weekend night and it was quite busy. Service was a bit slow and the food took awhile. They had a robot to serve drinks. We ordered egg rolls, pho dac biet, and a grilled pork, shrimp, and egg sizzling rice plate. All the dishes were just okay. This place replaced a previous pho place that was here .... Service was just ok. Friendly but nothing to rave about. I had their pho combo aka pho Đặc biết. The flavor had a very subtle taste. It smelled like pho but it felt like it was lacking something. I live across the street so I guess if it was I was feeling lazy to drive far I could walk over, however my roommate said, we were better off buying the filet mignon at lucky's and then adding it to the instant pho.... If you can't handle the strong flavors of Vietnamese pho, I guess this place is ok. It's a bit pricey for what it is though.... read more

My sons and I stopped in for pho after their summer camp on our way home. I didn't want to drive across town and it was my oldest son's birthday and he had to have pho for his birthday dinner. We were seated right away and our server was so kind and attentive. I am vegetarian and there is no vegetarian broth, so I had the tofu vermicelli plate which was delicious (although I prefer pho). My oldest son had the steak and brisket pho and he loved the tender meats and flavorful broth. My youngest son had just broth and noodles, he loved it. Our sever learned that it was my older son's birthday and offered him a complimentary drink which was so kind! The drink came over on the robot and the robot sang him happy birthday, it was so cool and totally delighted us! The robot also sent over two balloons for both of my boys with two lollipops. honestly so happy a pho place this good opened up in south bay!! the pho is amazing, garlic noodles are surprisingly delicious - and there's not many places to get this style of noodles unless it's a party or potluck, and the spring rolls are filled with tofu, veggies, etc that make it a true goi cuon and not just a basic spring roll also, the sparkling lemonade is always a must here :) the owners and workers are incredibly kind and attentive, which is always nice and the place has giant scree TVs that always show traveling cooking shows which really gets you in the mood to eat!! read more

We stopped by Pho Now for lunch today, and while it didn't entirely hit the spot, I see so much potential! The fresh shrimp spring rolls were absolutely delightful - a wonderful start! The shrimp sizzling plate showed promise, but the veggies could use a bit more love. They were tasteless and bland. The sweet sauce thhadcame with the sizling plate was not enough. The pho had its moments, too. Unfortunately, the chicken pho had hard, overcooked chicken (hopefully just a one-off!) and broth that needed a boost (fish sauce to the rescue!). The broth here was really nice; ordered the Chicken Pho with Broccoli and Carrot. The broccoli and carrot also was also not too overcooked. They chicken was tender as well. The service was friendly and responsive. When I asked for an extra plate of vegetables, they happily complied and brought it steamed just like I asked. I called to confirm and indeed they were open. I came and they were welcoming and I asked why they want to open on Wednesday. Again, this update is after multiple meals with different people. SJ Omogari continues to be a go to favorite, especially if you want Meat Jun. I've tried it at other restaurants, and none come close to the flavorful, tender version from SJ Omogari. My friend and I had lunch at SJ Omogari yesterday. The tables seemed very close together. It's good for the restaurant to get more people, but it felt a little closed in for my personal space preferences. This was my friend's first visit, and she loved it! I ordered Meat Jun (duh), and we shared a dumpling tofu soup. I was feeling bold, so we asked for medium spicy. I was sweating, but it was very flavorful and I kept eating as the sweat dripped down my head. My friend ordered the chicken bibimbap, which SJ Omogari calls, "Chicken Ricebowl." That stone bowl was SUPER HOT! It was sizzling when served, and we could still see steam as she packed up her leftovers! My friend loved the crispy rice on the bottom.
