A very nice family run restaurant with an extensive menu and ample parking. Nice decor, very clean, and they have a full bar with a nice selection of wine. They also have a nice wine selection. Everything served was fresh and delicious.

This was an average Vietnamese restaurant. The pho was about average, specifically the the broth. I wish it was more savior and salty like other places, but it wasn't bad. Since this is one of few places in the area to get pho it will make do if you are craving it. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant was clean, the lighting was a little dim. There was a blue over heard light which made it a little difficult to see. Overall I would rate this about 3.7 stars

I had a great time here! It feels inviting, very quick service, and good customer service. I had great food! The pho was delicious and the spring rolls hit the appetizer spot! Look at my photos, it was well worth the visit!

This is the only pho spot in Midlothian/Chesterfield area to my knowledge. Anytime I am in the mood for some pho and don't feel like driving to the west end this is my spot. They give you a lot of food and you will certainly have leftover. The owner is the absolute sweetest lady ever. My only complaint is that their prices are a lot higher than places on the West End.

We did takeout from here and I can't say enough on how delicious it is! While I've never been to Vietnam, I feel like this food is the real deal! The fried rice is plentiful and unlike other types of fried rice, stays good for leftovers the next day. It doesn't dry out at all. The pho is amazing! It's not the most appealing take out preparation with the raw meat included, but it's so good! I do recommend that you heat the broth up before you mix it to make sure it's nice and hot to cook the meat. I am obsessed with this food, and recommend it to anyone with a heart for Vietnamese food!

This place 2 high fives I was starving and I have nothing but positive feedback - peaceful setting, 2 lovely women as sweet as can be waited on us. The food outstanding fresh, dishes came out warm, food temperature just right. I live 2 hrs away and will be back it's so worth it.

3.5 stars TL;DR: Service was great, food was just okay. I'm pretty picky about my pho, but we decided to give this place a try. We came in at an off time, but there were still several tables full. The service was very friendly and attentive. Food: Pho with round eye and brisket: The flavor of the broth was pretty good, and the texture of the noodles were perfect. I'm not a huge fan of cilantro already in my pho, but I'll just ask for it without next time. Summer rolls: were much smaller than I expected, but just okay Fried spring rolls: Probably our favorite thing. It was loaded with meat, which you don't see often. Sriracha wings: They were very bland, and I couldn't really taste any spice to it. Broken rice with Chicken and Pork: The pork was so good, but the chicken was a very strange texture. Rubbery but also didn't taste like chicken. Might just get the pork chop next time. Not the best Vietnamese restaurant I've been to, but good enough to satisfy a craving. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Probably one of our new favorite places to eat in the area. We have been here a few times and the food is always great. Every time we have come we have gotten a seat right away. There are two rooms but it seems like most people are seated in the first room where the bar is. The bar is in the center of the building. I have seen people sitting there but it seems like they are waiting for their food to come not just hanging out. I have had a dish from almost sections. Really enjoy the steamed dumplings. The vermicelli bowls is a great dinner choice. The meat is cut real thin but the whole dish will fill you up. The food comes out so quick it is great. The one issue I have had is that the beer never seems to be cold enough for me. I really enjoy my beer ice cold.

We had a very underwhelming, near disappointing, visit to Bluefish Grill several years ago and was…read morerecommended to give it a try again recently. Definitely wanted to go in with a clean slate, knowing how many things for a restaurant can change in three or four years. I have to downgrade to one star though based on this week's dinner. I really don't see where there's a quality of food, flavor, friendly service or atmosphere that doesn't register as a fail. We were dining with a few other families (the place holds about 8 or so tables max) and another guy I could tell totally loves this place - it's an understatement to say that I don't get it. I really don't. I honestly feel like Gordon Ramsey's "Kitchen Nightmares" needs to go in and explain to them everything they doing wrong - because where do you start... Everything we ordered was overcooked, or cooked incorrectly and was not delicious, much less impressive. Let's be specific - the fried calamari was heavily battered and over cooked, the octopus balls were overcooked on the outside and offered an overly hot unidentifiable soup on the inside, and the fish & chips were basically two overcooked large triangles of thin fish and thick breading so the experience was a crunchy, dry thin processed piece of fried something that, whether visibly or by flavor, had no real indication there was fish present inside the deep fried breaded triangle. Service is beyond blah, it's indifferent. I dont mind the small dive atmosphere whatsoever, but at that point there's actually nothing I can point out of pleasure, value or reward for going here. What a place. Not a single smile, no warm greeting or any sentiment that anyone's glad you're there. No time for you. Just tell me what you want. Despite being a tiny place it does not guarantee your table might be walked by a dozen times while youre obviously ready and waiting to order. It always strikes me when a place is slow to serve you or give you proper attention but quick to bring you your check. I'm glad some people like it enough to keep it in business, but I don't get it. All I see is room for improvement , by which I mean needs for improvement - everywhere. I wish I took pictures of our meal but I didn't want to denigrate or erode the time we were having with a friend of ours. Taking pics of this food would have been too obvious and I really wanted to focus on enjoying our company regardless of the fact that I'm definitely going out again tomorrow night to reset my palate and have a total do-over. *Update, we did head over to The Flying Pig the next night where we can always count on having a high-quality friendly experience - and great good. The next day was Saturday and we went for dinner at Penny Lane Pub, again where we could count on a delicious meal and a welcoming, friendly environment. At that point I had mostly forgotten the regret I had held over from the second and final time we'll ever give Bluefish Grill a shot. The owner's attitude, of saying "then why do you come back", rather than being curious about what they could do better tells it all. An owner who stubbornly asserts everything's perfect, it's the customer who's the problem I've seen before - and in the long term it doesn't bode well for the business.

The entire staff was friendly, professional, and customer forward. The ambiance was great - lighthearted but professional. The dining area was very clean and the room was warm and well lit with natural light which made the space feel even cleaner and more inviting. The staff all had matching shirts (it was cinco de mayo so it's possible it was celebratory rather than the norm but it carried well either way) Now to the food. The food was enjoyable. It didn't wow me, but I definitely enjoyed my meal. The chips and salsa were on point. The flavor of the rice and beans were better than many others. The beef taco and enchilada were flavorful enough but had it not been for the salsa from the chips that I ended up adding, it would have been mediocre at best. But here's the thing... the value was not there. The food is overpriced. What you see in the photo was a $20 meal before tip - and his was the cheapest offering on their lunch menu. (The plate was $13 and the side of beans, $5) I had a water otherwise, I would've been closer to $25 for sure. So overall, a good experience. Good food, very good service, very clean and welcoming but the value was the biggest dent in the experience. I'm willing to go back and try other items onto the menu but I'm prepared now. Bring a little extra dinero.

We thought…read morewe were going to have to wait for a while, but we were pleasantly surprised that the patio was open on a first-come, first-served basis, so we sat outside. It was a pretty nice evening with a light breeze. It was perfect, since they had over-the-top heaters and then a beautiful heater that came on at the end of the patio. We started out by ordering some old-fashioned drinks to sip, and they were amazing! Beautifully made and spot on with the flavor. For food, we decided to order from the three-course dinner menu. My husband started with a steakhouse wedge salad, and I had the chicken tortilla soup. Wow, both were so yummy. My husband could not say enough about his salad. My soup was bursting with flavor and full of chicken. And because we apparently needed to be extra, we had to order the lobster spinach queso because it sounded amazing, which it certainly was. It was full of lobster, spinich and pepper jack cheese!!! For the entree, my husband had the wood-grilled chicken, and I ordered the grilled salmon and shrimp. He said the entree was incredible. He loved the mushrooms and tomatoes grilled on top and especially raved about the parmesan mashed potatoes. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. My grilled salmon and shrimp were spot on. The shrimp were thick, and the salmon was grilled to perfection. Both were topped with a light aji amarillo sauce that was fantastic together. To me, the ancient grains pilaf topped the whole thing off, the salmon with the pilaf and sauce were a perfect three-piece combo that had me wanting more and more with each bite. For dessert, we both ordered the petite creme brulee cheesecakes. At this point, I was bursting, but the gorgeous vision in front of me could not be wasted!!!! The cheesecake had a perfect light crunch on top and paired beautifully with the fruit and dollop of whipped cream on the plate. Our server was kind and prompt with our food, even when she seemed very busy. Overall, it was fantastic, and we have plans to return.
