The service was good and so was the Pho. What's not to like? Pho Saigon was clean, the staff was nice and they provided us with good service. The food selection was limited, but good. My wife and I both had pho. I had a banana boba shake and she had some wine. My boba shake was really good. Her wine was stale, unfortunately. But they did take her wine off of our bill. Had lunch here today! Very clean and fresh looking. Ordered "beef pho". It was just ok! We (my wife and I) felt the beef broth base had no flavor. We also felt the price to be quite expensive! Small $11.95 and large $14.95. We both prefer the "pho" at Nan's Thai Noodles in Port Charlotte. Price is much more reasonable and "Beef broth" much more flavorful. read more

We've been to dozens and dozens of Vietnamese restaurants all over Southern California, where you can literally find one on every street corner. Pho Saigon is so amazingly good, it is worth the 2,600 mile trip. Number 12 on the menu is the very best, in my opinion. A great addition to Punta Gorda. Their fried egg rolls are hot and tasty. The freshness of the ingredients really shine through especially in their vermicelli noodle bowls. However, I just wish some of the flavors were punched up a bit true to my fav vietnamese restaurant close to home; more fresh mint and cilantro, added fish sauce flavor, etc. I do have to add the service was on point and restaurant was very clean! read more

Pho Saigon is quite the gem. I had the Cha Gio egg rolls and the wonton soup. Then I had the Bun Thom, Thit Nuong, a vermicelli dish with grilled shrimp and beef. Everything was tasty and fresh. The service was excellent as well ! I will be returning. read more

I'd never had Pho before going to Pho Saigon, so I can't compare it to anything, but I loved it! I thought it was just going to be "chicken noodle soup," but it was SOOOO much more than that! There was such an unexpected complexity of flavor crammed into that seemingly innocent bowl of broth/soup. I thought it was outstanding! I'd had their Shrimp Spring Rolls before and loved them, so I had to get those again. (Is it wrong that I want to bathe in the peanut dipping sauce?!) We are Vietnamese so we like to stop by Vietnamese restaurants everywhere we go. We stopped by this restaurant on a recent road trip. The waitress seemed a bit confused but was really nice. I tasted a bit of my mother in laws vermicelli noodle bowl with pork and eggrolls and that was excellent. I liked how they have a small, medium, or large options for the pho. My pho dac biet did not have any tendons in it. I would have preferred it better if they did. The broth was just OK. I'm giving this four stars for the excellent vermicelli bowl. read more

Walking in you get a sense that this place will be magical reminiscent of a movie seen long ago. You are greeted by a calm and gentle lady who goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. We tried the spring rolls for starters. Delicious and quickly prepared, they come with a sweet peanut sauce. Also ordered the FRESHLY SQUEEZED orange juice and the Vietnamese coffee which was a definite change of pace from regular old Starbucks. Finally the Pho we ordered arrived and what a serving size! Even the medium seemed huge! The beef had a variety of meats while the chicken wad simple yet flavorful. Add that with some bean sprouta, lime and culantro and you have a great bowl of pho. Overall, great service, great ambiance, I give it 4 stars because the broth was slightly less flavorful than a similar ramen/pho place over in Port Charlotte. read more

"2nd Time Around Same Results " I stop by this place a month and a half ago and the Pho was lacking flavor and broth, the bowl had so much noodles that there were barely enough space for the broth so I decided not to say anything and see what happens next time I'm working in the area. Well today I was specific when placing my order I was going to order a small pho but, since I wanted lots of broth I will order the large one because I want lots of broth and not so much noodles. I get my pho and I have a bowl full of noodles so much that after I was done the bowl was more than halfway full of noodles and I had eaten some of the noodles plus the meats and broth. So I get up to pay and tell the lady of my experience and suggested to have their waiters pay attention when customers place their orders and she started going back and forth telling me to request more broth and less noodles and I explained that I had done just that. Anyways she offered to charge me less for the small pho and that they will do better next time. I told the lady that it was not about the money and that is why I was willing to pay the huge difference in price just to get what I wanted but she continue saying I should have order less noodles and I say no that's ok charge the correct amount full price because there won't be a next time. Just in case the difference between small $8.95 and large is $13.95.00 which I pay for it but did not get my money's worth plus to not even get satisfied. read more

First time eating here & it was delicious. Ordered the vegetarian egg rolls as appetizer and then the pho with chicken. The egg rolls were the way I like them - very crisp & not oily. If you have never had pho, it's a soup (broth w/rice noodles) & you can add your choice of beef, poultry, shrimp or combination of them. Also, on the side comes sliced jalapeños, bean sprouts,& fresh basil which you can add to your soup. I added all 3. Yummy! To be fair, I have not had much Vietnamese food. The other people in my party who have eaten a lot of Vietnamese food also concurred that it was not very good. I went to this restaurant for lunch with a large group of people during the middle of the week. The menu is very limited to pho soup. The only variety is what type of pho you wanted. Soda was by the can so it was four dollars for two cans of soda. The food was not brought out all at once, but over a period of 5 to 7 minutes for each person. It did not take long to get there though. The food was average at best. Overall the experience was tepid, and I will not be going back. read more

We had the spring rolls which were fresh and the sauce was quite good. Each of us ordered a small bowl of pho and enjoyed the clean, delicate flavors of the broth. The noodles were properly sized and cooked perfectly. The meat was tender and well portioned. Warning! unless you have a huge appetite, order the small bowl as it is quite generous.
