They sometimes mix up the order however which can be a problem when you are short on time (or a problem regardless of if you are short on time or not I should say...) Yummy to my tummy! my favorite is definitely #1!! I always order it without tripes or tendons, they put veggies on a side with lemon! To fill up the taste of this soup . Love the hoisen sauce with beef nomnom, is a bit hard to find parking but it worth the wait for a fantastic soup! Been eating at all the pho so 1 restaurants since I was a kid and I have to say this is my favorite location! Great tastin food, clean spacious environment and friendly staff. What more could you want! Thanks for always keeping it top notch! I took a friend here and she liked it so much we went back a couple days later! 4/26/09 - Been here many times and finally decided to write a review for this place. I am honestly surprised to read so many negative reviews for this place. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant closest to the westside. The pho broth is very flavorful and has tons of meats in it. Most of the time it meets my expectation. I do have to say they had an off day a few months ago. The pho broth was tastless, but it has been good any other time. Another favorite is the grilled pork dish for only $5.75 you would get a mountain of food. Any food you ordere most likely will come with fresh vegetable and pickled vegetable and they are always fresh. read more

18 Large with a side of egg rolls...that's my standard order. Unlike other place where it tends to be thin and watery, this spot has one of the best soup bases around. The place is always bustling and the food comes out (relatively) quickly. Sure, sometimes the egg rolls come AFTER the Pho but it's all worth it. This place is okay. Whats good about this place is that it is open late. They have average pho and vermicile. But if your in gardena and you want good vietnamese food go to pho ever which is on rosecrans across the street of payless foods, but they close at 9pm. This place used to be my favorite pho joint in the 6 years I worked in El Segundo. My last 3 visits, I really noticed that the consistency of the food has really varied. Before the broth used to be really clean and clear; recently my coworkers and I noticed it varies from day to day. It's as if there's two different chefs and we actually make bets in which one is working that day. Hopefully they will fix the inconsistency issue with their food. read more

My go-to place for Pho. Been to Vegas location as well. Better broth than most other Pho places imo. Egg rolls are good too with somewhat of a chewey texture-- different from typical eggrolls but still good. Also like the fact that they don't skimp on the side veggies e.g. bean sprouts, mint, basil etc. and are always fresh. Should have also ordered their Vietnamese coffee on this visit, since I was way more thirstier than usual after the meal--probably the MSG. Great pho. I had the chicken pho and it was delicious because the broth was light and not oily. The service was terrible!! First, the waiter brings 2 dishes to our table asking us what dish is ours. (shouldn't he know??) We were confused because one dish was mine but the other dish was not ours. So we said that one dish wasn't ours, then he left and came back saying one of them is yours. So I said yes that one is mine, then he walked away and under his breath (but we all heard him) why didn't you say so. Omg, how rude!! The next thing was my drink. This place is decent. Its a 5-10 minute drive from work and when its one of those gloomy chilly days - its perfect for good hot pho. Compare to other pho restaurants - its average, but in the South Bay, I think its probably one of the better ones in the area. Therefore I would recommend this place if you live in the South Bay and do not want to drive 40-60 minutes to Westminster to get some pho. FYI: I enjoy many of their dishes there. However, I feel their "rolls" are somewhat disappointing. It's edible but it truly isn't that great. read more

I think it's the best u can get around here, unless ur looking for some tofu pho , witch btw if u r go somewhere else because I don't wanna see u while I'm hung over trying to recoop with my pho so 1 . I can only speak for their pho. From my many visits to other restaurants around town, I have to admit Pho So 1 might be the best (in town). To start, their soup is not oily or heavy, just a decent beef broth. The portion seems a bit small compared to most but not rididulously (for a small person that doesn't eat in huge portions like myself, it's good). This place I have to say is pretty good but still does not compete with many places in the oc. The broth is delicious though and one of the best pho places I've been to in Gardena. I grew up with the Pho So 1 in Reseda and was happy to find out there was one out here in Gardena too. This is your average pho place. Your typical pho restaurant customer service where you should not expect anything beyond getting your order taken and food given to you in no time if you ordered the pho. I do prefer this location over the others in the area because of the price and gets the job done. You should definitely be open to the other stuff on the menu like an egg roll or spring roll for an appetizer. Also, use the sauces and condiments that are on the table to dress up your pho. The Hoisin sauce (looks like thick soy sauce) adds a sweet soy sauce flavor to your pho while the Sriracha adds the heat. Careful with the lime they give you as that can overpower the flavors in your pho. read more
