two bottles of sauce on a table

Always consistent with their Pho. I like the beef combo which has different meats and I'm always left with some to take so l can have a snack later. It is a comfortable seating establishment that is simple with good food. They are speedy with their entrees and it is a family owned spot. If you are in the area looking for a great place stop by this restaurant. The service was also attentive and nice.

This is my absolute favorite place to get pho from. Their broth paired with hoisin sauce is soooo good and taste so warm and cozy, perfect to get with cold weather. This was my first time trying the crispy calamari and it did not disappoint. Usually calamari is served with marinara sauce but they served it with this sweet sauce that went perfect! The service was super quick and friendly!

Food, service and environment was amazing! Very clean place! Has a great beef Banhi Mi, Beef Pho and don't forget the strawberry lemonade. I will definitely come back here. My fav part is the Banhi Mi comes with a vegetable soup.

Update: pls see the owner's 1st response (screenshot below) to my original review. His most combative reaction and short sightedness are almost comical coming from a business owners. His belligerent behavior is all we need to know about his character and integrity of his establishment. Original review- No bean spouts, no basils. Only 2 slices of jalapeños and a slice of lime. I ordered pho with rare steak slices but it looked like some weird shredded shriveled up beef. Soup was salty. They should've mentioned that they were out of those veggies before I ordered. I've been to countless pho restaurants throughout California and San Antonio. THIS. Is. Not. Good! NEVER AGAIN.

When did this restaurant open? What part of Vietnam are these dishes from?

Originally, Pho Sure used to be located near San Antonio College near San Pedro and Ashby. My husband and I were their last customer the last night they were open at that location. It closed for a while, and when Pho Sure opened on Babcock and… Read more

Are the owners of this restaurant the same owners that owned Pho Sure off of Ashby?

    Yes.

Is this the same as the Pho Sure that used to be by the San Pedro Theater?

    Yes

    What's the spiciest dish?

We can add chilies to sate’ with any of the chef’s specials. But the dishes that are naturally spicy is the sandwiches and the green curry. If you like your pepper steak to be spicy, you can ask the beef to be sate in wok along with green peppers… Read more

Once we got sat we placed our orders and had food in front of us in 15ish minutes? It was great. The wings were delicious, you could throw the sauce on a tire and I'd eat it. The bowls were so refreshing and delicious and the pho was perfect. I can't wait to go back! Give this place a try, be aware the parkings tight, don't get overwhelmed or thrown off find the parking get inside and be ready for some amazing food from amazing people! Side note: everytime the older Vietnamese women came to clear our plates as we finished she told us good job for fishing our food and tbh it felt so warming and homey without thought

I am afraid that I must change my review of Pho Kim Long. I am sad to do so because this was one of…read moremy favorite local restaurants for over a decade. However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.

All things in my mind brought this down from a 5 star to a 4. Clean up the tables is definitely something the restaurant has control over. We sat down, and the acetone smell dissipated so either I was use to it or they turned down a shared ventilation system. The food though was the big surprise! It was excellent. We ordered the Special House Bun with beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and a crispy egg roll. The proportion of vermicelli noodles to fresh lettuce, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts and peanuts provide d that perfect bite were one ingredient dominated the other. All the proteins were cooked perfectly. The real winner was the lemongrass Banh mi with once again perfectly proportioned ingredients. We also ordered the fresh spring roll, which never came but wasn't missed except that they did try to charge us for but did remove them. They definitely have some work to make this a comfortable dining experience but I wouldn't let it stop you from trying some phenomenal Vietnamese food.
