I was craving some Northern-style pho, so my brother and I decided to make the drive to Pho Thin. It has been a while since I had Pho Thin and lowkey is disappointed in myself for not going here more often! We went around 7pm on a Friday and there wasn't much line. I got the #1 with everything while my brother got the #2 with the big beef rib. The broth was so flavorful and beefy. There was so much meat in each bowl! We also got a side of fried donut to share. Although the #2 was good, it didn't have the tái lăn (stir fried beef) in it. I personally think their tái lăn is their specialty and what they are know for! The #1 has it and it was SOOOOO GOOD!! I recommend getting the #1 or #4 (just the tái lăn as the meat option) instead. The restaurant located in the big plaza with many parking spots! The place is spacious with many seatings. It has a welcoming and family friendly vibe! Def will be coming back for often!

Delicious place! Husband brought me here to try the chicken. In OC, close to bolsa. Lots of people here having their meals solo or in groups around. So it must be nice comfort food for some people. Staff was kind of busy but they seem nice. Will be to try other items off the menu!

Even though the portion of their meat has gone down, I still like to come to Pho Thin for their Northern style pho. The broth is tasty and everything comes together nicely in the noodle soup. Since they use fresh noodles (wider compared to traditional pho noodles), I find that it is a great takeout option to reheat at home. I always call ahead to place my order of their #1. Pho Dac Biet ($15.99) with large noodles. They never take longer than 10 minutes to have it all ready for pickup.

Their pho is really good, they're quick with orders and the restaurant is clean. Overall I recommend this restaurant.

    1. The broth of the pho was good, and I love the garlic beef! The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior is big! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! The food was ready within 10 mins! 4. There is only indoor seatings! There are a lot of tables! 5. Parking lot has a lot of spots! However, it can get crowded depending on time and day! Note: They do accept card transactions! Photo: Pho Thin Special and Vietnamese Iced Coffee

I've had Pho Thin in Hanoi and Melbourne, and this was just as delicious as I remembered. The northern style pho is more green onion heavy, and a lighter broth that is more mild in spice flavor. Also the beef slices are very tender and don't come in as much variety as the southern style pho. Also the rice noodles are the super fresh and soft rice noodles which are my favorite. Definitely will add Pho Thin to my pho spot rotations list. Super quick service, literally got my pho in less than 5 minutes of ordering. Clean and updated restaurant and good for big parties also.

Service: 5/5 very friendly and explained specialties. Food: 5/5 very good northern style. Rib bone not quite fall off the bone but that and the Special were very tasty. I loved the noodles! Very OG and classic Pho vibes. Simple menu, great Passion Fruit Tea.

came in to dine with my family (party of 7) last night and it wasn't busy at all, we got sat right away and service was quick and friendly (our server spoke both vietnamese and english). inside feels like a hole in the wall or family owned establishment. this was my first time trying northern pho and you can really taste the difference between the northern broth and the southern or more popular pho broth. it was different but it was good and they add different herbs/greens in their broth, as well as eat their pho with the wide/thicker noodles and chinese donuts which i loveee. they're airy and crispy fried goodnesses that make incredible vessels for the broth. only reason i gave this place a 4 and not a 5 is that the tai meat was just okay. they slice it quite thin so it feels a little more dry and not as tender.

It's rainy season so I had to stop by Pho Thin again. The service was very quick & they were really nice! Me & my sister always get the # 2 with the rib bone & # 3 garlic beef stir fry. I don't know how they get that unique taste but the garlic beef stir fry is SOO good it's super hearty and has this clean taste -you won't be disappointed! i also love their pickled jalapeños although it's REALLY hot. they also have pickled garlic which is also really good! 100/10 my favorite northern style pho place ever

Pho Thin served the best Pho I have had so far in the US. Our friend took us here for breakfast before our early flight. They open really early in the morning (8am) which is similar to many restaurants in Vietnam. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant and it was almost empty the day we went but it could get crowded during the day. The space inside is not very big but there are still many tables, maybe because it's early morning. Everything is clean and decorated nicely to give the Vietnamese vibe. This restaurant serves the northern Vietnamese style pho which I normally am not a fan of. However, the way they made the pho noodles, the broth, and the stir-fried beef was so authentic that it tasted better than all other pho places I have tried so far in the US. In overall, it is one of the best restaurants I have tried in CA. Location, hours, price, and food quality are all top-notch that I will definitely come back for more.

If you know you know. :) It's not your standard recipe pho, but if you like a good meaty flavor with strong notes then this is the place! It's Hanoi-style inspired, with longer/thinner noodles and lots of tender meat! I really enjoy the #2 and 3, just depends on if I want to take on the bone or not, but both options are solid! The place is always clean, and the service is always friendly, come early though as this place fills up fast!

Traditional Pho with Garlic Beef Stir-fry

Such a pity Pho Thin is not in my town! It's a must-visit every time I'm in the area. I always order the Traditional Pho with Garlic Beef Stir-fry--the smoky flavor of the beef paired with the rich, non-greasy broth always hits the spot. I add a generous spoonful of the garlic they keep on every table--it gives the soup that perfect extra kick. It's so good, I haven't even made it past this one dish on the menu XD The service is lightning-fast: you sit, order, eat, and pay (at the register). It's a no-frills spot where the focus is entirely on the food. Perfect for a quick, comforting meal any time of day.

Clean place and great pho. The broth is more on the richer side since it's northern. I'm used to southern pho but this was really good too

We were celebrating a very dear friend's 40th birthday and wanted her table to feel extra special. I reached out ahead of time to ask if we could bring our own tablecloth, dinner plate ware, and small florals to dress the table, very minimal -- and not only did they say yes, they were genuinely accommodating and warm about it. We had offered to handle all the cleanup ourselves (scraping off the food and taking it off, bringing home all the dirty dishes), but our waiter Vu went far above and beyond: after dinner, he offered to take our decorative plates to the kitchen to have them washed -- and they came back warm, dry, and spotless. That single gesture said everything about the kind of person he is and the culture of this restaurant. Vu was attentive, thoughtful, and made our entire table feel cared for all evening. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which was such a lovely touch. When I had requested a quieter, more private area of the restaurant with less foot traffic, they delivered exactly that -- a cozy corner that felt like it was just ours for the night. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was wonderful. We also brought a homemade matcha cake from Sugar Farm Bakery, and we offered Vu and his team a slice -- they came back out to rave about it and thank us, which just warmed our hearts. This is the kind of restaurant that makes you feel like family. Whether you're coming for the incredible food or looking for the perfect place to host a meaningful celebration, Brodard Chateau is it. We are so grateful and will absolutely be back. Highly, highly recommend!

The sweetness of the grilled pork, the crispiness of the eggrolls wrapper bits, and the freshness of the vegetables pairs with the special sauce never fails to satisfy the craving. This time we tried their cheeseburger spring Roasted Duck spring rolls. I am not a duck fan so this was okay to me. The meat was well seasoned with the spices and the hoisin sauce was a nice balance. The crispy Vietnamese eggrolls were also a first and it was great! The meaty and crispiness of the eggrolls eaten like a lettuce wrap with the nuoc Cham sauce was delicious. This place always seems to be busy and rushed and can get a bit loud but the service is always great. They have a bar where you can grab some drinks while you wait. Their lychee martini is good. There is also a dessert display in the front where you check in which we haven't tried yet.

Over all those years, they have never disappointed me and continue to serve really good food. I usually get the beef brisket pho and it's really good. The noodles are just the right texture, the broth is clean and flavorful, and the meat tastes fresh and tender. Their dui bo is also very good, but usually runs out after 1:00 or 2:00 pm, since they only have a limited amount of this item every day. The meat is fall off the bone tender and has a more fatty flavor to it. It usually sits in some broth that absorbs that beefy and fatty flavor from the bone. A great addition to any bowl of pho. Alternatively, I sometimes also get the bun thit nuong and it's very good. The eggrolls it comes with is wrapped with rice paper, so when it's fried up, it has such a satisfying crunch and texture to it. The thit nuong is has a nice smokey, grilled flavor to it. The shrimps are okay as well. This is a very satisfying and filling dish, so if you're looking for a high volume dish, this may be the one to get. Expect long lines during peak hours.
