    Pickled garlic

Deserve all the hype. Whats unique about this Pho place is pickled garlic. I was feeling under the weather and stopped by this Pho place on a random Tuesday. The broth was excellent ( to my preference). I prefer a clear broth and not too fatty. This place was able to nail this, flavorful broth , Pho noodle is fresh , added with some pickled garlic, I felt like my cold was instantly cured lolol. Would love to come back to try other Pho flavor. Service was super fast and the bowls were served HOT. Price: affordable price for $13.99 ( for small bowl), very fullfilling ,they were generous with the beef.

Don't be fooled by the mellow ambiance of this restaurant. The pho here is pretty good and service is quite fast as well. For tonight, I had : Pho Nam, gau & bo vien Vinegar onions (we mixed it with hoisin, lemon & sriracha) Fatty broth with green onions And to too everything off, an iced tea. The thing that I value most in a Vietnamese restaurant (besides the taste of the food) is the herbs. This place seems careful in cleaning their herbs and I can safely say that after eating here multiple times, I can eat here without feeling like I need to put their vegetables under a microscope. The broth is clean and their meat is super tender. Our pho came out in a couple of minutes after ordering and super hot, which is amazing when typically some places take so long to serve and your food comes out kind of hot/warm. Definitely a good fall back spot for when you just want a bowl of comforting pho without having to wait for long.

My gf had never had northern style Pho before, so we wanted to try the notable Pho Thin. As a lifelong pho lover, I loved the broth, portion size and overall flavor of my bowl of pho. They have a variety of meat combos, but I stuck with my regular steak and flank :) Hearty, warm and service was excellent. You can also pay by card here! The inside was spacious, and parking was also a breeze :)

I was craving some Northern-style pho, so my brother and I decided to make the drive to Pho Thin. It has been a while since I had Pho Thin and lowkey is disappointed in myself for not going here more often! We went around 7pm on a Friday and there wasn't much line. I got the #1 with everything while my brother got the #2 with the big beef rib. The broth was so flavorful and beefy. There was so much meat in each bowl! We also got a side of fried donut to share. Although the #2 was good, it didn't have the tái lăn (stir fried beef) in it. I personally think their tái lăn is their specialty and what they are know for! The #1 has it and it was SOOOOO GOOD!! I recommend getting the #1 or #4 (just the tái lăn as the meat option) instead. The restaurant located in the big plaza with many parking spots! The place is spacious with many seatings. It has a welcoming and family friendly vibe! Def will be coming back for often!

Delicious place! Husband brought me here to try the chicken. In OC, close to bolsa. Lots of people here having their meals solo or in groups around. So it must be nice comfort food for some people. Staff was kind of busy but they seem nice. Will be to try other items off the menu!

Even though the portion of their meat has gone down, I still like to come to Pho Thin for their Northern style pho. The broth is tasty and everything comes together nicely in the noodle soup. Since they use fresh noodles (wider compared to traditional pho noodles), I find that it is a great takeout option to reheat at home. I always call ahead to place my order of their #1. Pho Dac Biet ($15.99) with large noodles. They never take longer than 10 minutes to have it all ready for pickup.

    1. The broth of the pho was good, and I love the garlic beef! The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior is big! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! The food was ready within 10 mins! 4. There is only indoor seatings! There are a lot of tables! 5. Parking lot has a lot of spots! However, it can get crowded depending on time and day! Note: They do accept card transactions! Photo: Pho Thin Special and Vietnamese Iced Coffee

I've had Pho Thin in Hanoi and Melbourne, and this was just as delicious as I remembered. The northern style pho is more green onion heavy, and a lighter broth that is more mild in spice flavor. Also the beef slices are very tender and don't come in as much variety as the southern style pho. Also the rice noodles are the super fresh and soft rice noodles which are my favorite. Definitely will add Pho Thin to my pho spot rotations list. Super quick service, literally got my pho in less than 5 minutes of ordering. Clean and updated restaurant and good for big parties also.

Service: 5/5 very friendly and explained specialties. Food: 5/5 very good northern style. Rib bone not quite fall off the bone but that and the Special were very tasty. I loved the noodles! Very OG and classic Pho vibes. Simple menu, great Passion Fruit Tea.

It's rainy season so I had to stop by Pho Thin again. The service was very quick & they were really nice! Me & my sister always get the # 2 with the rib bone & # 3 garlic beef stir fry. I don't know how they get that unique taste but the garlic beef stir fry is SOO good it's super hearty and has this clean taste -you won't be disappointed! i also love their pickled jalapeños although it's REALLY hot. they also have pickled garlic which is also really good! 100/10 my favorite northern style pho place ever

Pho Thin served the best Pho I have had so far in the US. Our friend took us here for breakfast before our early flight. They open really early in the morning (8am) which is similar to many restaurants in Vietnam. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant and it was almost empty the day we went but it could get crowded during the day. The space inside is not very big but there are still many tables, maybe because it's early morning. Everything is clean and decorated nicely to give the Vietnamese vibe. This restaurant serves the northern Vietnamese style pho which I normally am not a fan of. However, the way they made the pho noodles, the broth, and the stir-fried beef was so authentic that it tasted better than all other pho places I have tried so far in the US. In overall, it is one of the best restaurants I have tried in CA. Location, hours, price, and food quality are all top-notch that I will definitely come back for more.

Ok, so I'm vietnamese and I have always loved Pho. Yet I have not heard of Pho Thin until I've read about it in AAA magazine; I'm so ashamed as a VNese! lol Pho Thin = awesome. Bottom line. Took my son there after reading about it. Not so small hole in the wall facing Bolsa. We ordered their traditional bowl. The broth is less fatty and not as sweet, if that makes sense. Great flavor. I absolutely enjoyed the beef: very well seasoned, garlicy tho not overwhelming, and I suspect tenderized. And very little fat withe meat, which is my preference. They also have seasoned garlic slices as condiments. Delicious! And for those who prefer fat and grisle with their pho, there are tasty looking options for that too. Definitely are going to return with the whole family :))

came in to dine with my family (party of 7) last night and it wasn't busy at all, we got sat right away and service was quick and friendly (our server spoke both vietnamese and english). inside feels like a hole in the wall or family owned establishment. this was my first time trying northern pho and you can really taste the difference between the northern broth and the southern or more popular pho broth. it was different but it was good and they add different herbs/greens in their broth, as well as eat their pho with the wide/thicker noodles and chinese donuts which i loveee. they're airy and crispy fried goodnesses that make incredible vessels for the broth. only reason i gave this place a 4 and not a 5 is that the tai meat was just okay. they slice it quite thin so it feels a little more dry and not as tender.

Have been to this restaurant many times, and food is always consistent! Came visit to the restaurant last week, and ordered my favorite Grilled Escargot with Garlic Butter and Peppercorn, Grilled Scallops with Cheese, and my all-time favorite Chilean Sea Bass hot pot! The grilled escargots are a must-have when visiting this place! These are perfectly grilled with rich garlic butter for sweetness, and with a slight kick of spiciness from the peppercorn. Don't forget to also dip the escargot meat with black pepper and a few squeeze of fresh lime juice! If you like melted cheese, then the grilled scallops with cheese would be the perfect match. Each scallop is covered melted cheese and comes sizzling on a hot plate when ordered! Last but certainly not least, my favorite dish of this restaurant is the Chilean Sea Bass hot pot. The order comes with your own tabletop gas stove, along with a hot pot filled with a tom yum like sour soup base. For ingredients, it also includes a plate with slices of pineapple, quarter cut fresh tomato slices, fresh bean sprouts, rice noodles, and a full plate of large pieces of Chilean Sea Bass. Just put all the ingredients in the hot pot and let it cook for 5-10mins on high, I promise you it is one of the best soups you will ever have! Service is good as always. This place always seems to be busy, so you may have to be on the waitlist during certain business hours (eg holidays, prime dinner time, etc). Parking wise, the restaurant is located in a busy plaza, and so you may have to drive around a few times before finding an open spot. However as I said earlier, it's worth the wait. Highly recommended.

The escargot was a little chewy, but the savory sauce made up for it. For our main dishes, we ordered the Tom Yum seafood hot pot, which was just okay. We also had the deep-fried tilapia, which was cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside. It's hard to go wrong with anything deep-fried here. Overall, the razor clams and deep-fried tilapia were the highlights of our meal. If you're willing to wait for a table, this is a good spot for fresh seafood with a few standout dishe
