I'm here visiting for a wedding and my group decided to visit this place for lunch today. I love bird's nest and I was excited to see this on the menu. When I ordered this, it originally came with seafood but the person at the counter said I can substitute chicken instead. Overall, it was a rather delicious dish. The noodles were very crispy and there was an ample of protein and veggies. The brown sauce was not too salty and gave it the right flavor it needed. My only critique was that the chicken to me felt like the wrong cut to use. The chicken pieces looked more to be used in a pho dish then this kind of this. So much pho, so little time. The food at Pho Tiger rivals the best at many of my other favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The one thing I LOVE the most is that they serve all the usual phos, salad rolls, egg rolls, vermicelli bowls, rice plates AND bahn mi sandwiches. It's hard to find such a menu out there. We've dined in pre-COVID and usually do takeout now. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. You place your order at the counter, help yourself to water, utensils, get your beverage and condiments at the side bar and pick where you want to sit. The giant painted tiger on the wall is beautiful and very impressive. The photos of farmers working in the rice fields (I think) are beautiful too. There's even a tiny enclosed space for those who have to have their gambling fix (???) The tables are clean and seating is quite comfortable. There is a TV always on but I've never heard the sound. I'm happy they've weathered the pandemic problems and have remained excellent. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are just about right. I've never been disappointed in my order and will keep Pho Tiger high on my Vietnamese food rotation list. read more

I had a great experience here. The interior is nicely decorated and I really liked the seating layout. There was a decorated Christmas tree and music was playing. All very nice. I didn't get to try their milk teas but I did have the vegetarian pho. The broth was very flavorful and the veggies all very fresh (the sprouts nice and crunchy) and the veggies brightly colored (broccoli, carrots, basil, green onion, jalapeno). This one included mushrooms, which I could tell were also fresh and tofu. I didn't care for the tofu's taste. I would have preferred plain, firm tofu instead of what is probably fried tofu. I added some sauce (from the table condiments) to the tofu and that helped. I was able to take my leftovers home in a plastic container. read more

On a Friday lunch hour, the place was clean and easy to find. I ordered the Pho Tai Sach, which is my standard staple to see how a pho spot stands up. Unfortunately, it was nothing special. The quantity and quality of the protein was okay. It could have been stronger with more meat especially since I ordered the large. The broth was okay. It didn't have a memorable flavor with the broth base. It would have been stronger if it had more flavor particularly more beef broth. The veggies was missing cilantro in the broth. Great service and delicious food. We have a Christmas tradition where we bring both granddaughters here for Pho Tai and then watch Home Alone 2. Last night was different because it was 19 degrees in Tigard and ice was sticking to our windshield. We decided to order it ToGo and try and get home while we could still get home. Cozy, well maintained restaurant with a small section for gambling machines. That is quite an interesting setup. Order upfront and have a seat. Menu is standard Vietnamese offerings. The pho special is now $17 (small versions are a $1 less). Prices have gone up, which is ok, if they had enough ingredients to justify it. This review is for takeout - I can't comment on service or the space itself as I had someone pick up the food for me. Having said that, I was pretty disappointed. I ordered the large steak and meatball pho. When I got it, I thought that the portion was pretty light for a large, and when I opened the bag my heart fell. A half-full container of rice noodles, four half-pieces of steak, and one cut-up meatball floating in the broth. If that's the large, I'd hate to see the regular size. I'm not a big eat-at-once eater - I eat a little bit at a time, but frequently - and I finished the 'large' bowl in one sitting. I've been to pho places where I can't even finish the regular size in one go, so this was rather disappointing. The good news is that the broth was light and quite good, and the toppings were more on the generous side. Maybe their servings are more generous for dine-in. I came across this restaurant and thought to give a try - when I got home and found the order was wrong (numbers did not match) - see pictures - 2 mistakes - one of them did not have meat - I called back and tried to talk to a guy first then he handed the call to a lady - she was rude calling me a liar then hung up on me when I said I will come back to show her - - it's 30 minutes traffic which I really don't want to but I did it because her attitude :( I went back and returned the food I realized the credit card charge was incorrect $79 when supposed to be $76 - she told me if I paid cash then it's $3 off then she did not mention she will charge $3 more - what a scam?! please be aware! She said she will not refund the money because I touched couple dishes so she only gave me $46 back. Lesson learned - they don't even deserve one star sadly. It was okay, but we wouldn't go back. We were craving pho tonight. Unfortunately, our local fave is closed on Tuesdays. But we've been meaning to check this place out, so we thought it was a perfect time to try it. First of all, my youngest son doesn't like pho. We usually get him chicken or pork skewers, but they don't offer that. I saw chicken tenders on the appetizer menu and thought that would be okay. Boy, was I wrong! Seriously, it was like 4 strips the size of fries! We had to stop on the way home to get him something else because that was ridiculous. Now the pho. You get about half the noodles of our favorite place. So it was a much smaller portion for about the same price. Broth was okay, but not amazing. We got the brisket and steak. It was just okay. One star for the decor and iced coffee which was so-so. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee and P14 pho tai sach (steak and tripe). Pho was $14.95. I left a 20%tip when I ordered. I am Vietnamese. I have had ALOT of pho in my 32 years. This was the worst if not top three worst pho I have ever had the poor luck to consume. I took four progression photos to emphasize my review. The pho was 95%noodles. In photo one you can see the one measly piece of herb. There were a total of FIVE pieces of over cooked tiny dry rubbery steak and four pieces of trip. The largest piece of trip was the size of my index finger. In photo 3 you will see the largest piece of steak was smaller than my spoon. The fourth picture is how I left the bowl. The pho smelled like pho but when you go to place it in your mouth it smells like dirty dish water. I can't quite put my finger on it but it is not appetizing. I forced myself to eat just enough to stave off hunger until I could drive to another place for food. That is the broth with NO added sauces. I eat with my sriracha and hoisin on the side. Thank god for sriracha in this situation. The decor was outstanding. A whole giant mural of a tiger. If only they cared enough about the quality of their food instead of decor. read more

You know I love pho. Yes, everything about it, the noodles, the piping hot soup, the add in sprouts, basil and lime. I can really eat it every week and that's saying a lot. I was out in the burbs and tried this place out. It was a very good choice. I had the Pho Tiger? Whatever their number 1 is. Usually it has everything in it. It had a lot of meat. I mean a lot of a lot of pieces of round steak and brisket. Maybe one piece of tripe and one piece of tendon which is ok because those are my least favorites. I think the meat was slightly tough. The broth was clean and flavorful. The noodles were good and not too sticky. The service is counter order and you take a number so they can deliver it to your table. I really enjoyed the clean and relaxing atmosphere of the place. The smooth jazz is fine and the price is pretty much standard. I was running errands and was going to stop by a different place but saw this place and decided to try them. I'm glad I did. They gave me a delicious steamy hot bowl of pho. The small was a good enough size to fill this big girl up. The broth was flavorful and the meat was tender and still a little raw, which is just the waybIblike it. After several minutes steeping it was cooked throughly, my beautiful bowl of pho was accompanied by a small plate of fresh jalapenos, bean sprouts and herbs. I ordered their fried rice to go for my dinner. I'll let you all know how it is. Pho Tiger is in an obscure strip mall off Hall and 99W but it is well worth the effort to find it. I ordered on line the Bun Dac Biet with vermicelli, egg rolls, shrimp and pork with bean sprouts, mint, cucumbers, peanuts and the fabulous nuk mam sauce (plus small amounts of a sweet chili sauce.) it was actually better than any other version I have had in Portland, so I highly recommend Pho Tiger. read more

Pretty cool anesthetics, I like ordering first st the counter then getting the little table flag for your order number, grab your fork and water and find a table. When the food came it wasn't very good, the bun bo hue lacked lots of flavor and had a deep soy sauce like color to the broth, no spice or lemongrass flavor to it. Super good. Not sure what some negative reviews are talking about...we were very happy with our meals here. As a vegetarian they get an A++ from me for not only having options..they have multiple options on a whole vegetarian page on the menu! The veggie pho was absolutely delicious. Super fresh, and the broth was impressively flavorful & loaded with vegetables. I love that you order at the kiosk and are able to tailor the ingredients in all dishes. You can choose extras or none of anything (for example no mushrooms or cabbage for mine). The sauces they bring to the table are amazing. My husband & kids really enjoyed their beef pho. In total, 2 bowls filled us all and we left the bowls practically licked clean. My son had the meatballs pho and I had the combination crispy noodles. Everything were delicious, my son is a picker eater and he finished his bowl of pho . My combination crispy noddles was on point , the noodles were crispy but not oily, the veggies , meat and prawns were cooked to perfection. I loved the side chili oil that comes with the noodles . My first warning sign should have been the empty restaurant when I first walked in. I was already there though, so what the heck, may as well eat. My family and I ordered pho and chicken fried rice. Both were meh. The chicken in the fried rice was OLD. Chewy and super dry. I was up charged for asking them to omit tripe from my pho....that was odd. Service was sub-par. The young lady at the order counter wasn't the friendliest. When I went back to get a to-go box, the young man who was sitting off to the side was engrossed in his computer, and seemed put off when I asked for a box. 10/10 Delicious! Tried it again for the first time today, I got a banh xeo and a pho with slice steak and beef tendon. The banh xeo comes with fresh herbs on the side. I had it delivered and was impressed at how crispy the crepe still was. It wasn't entirely crispy but not entirely soggy either. It's a rare find and I'd absolutely order it again. You can get Pho here after the namesake but if you want to branch out and get some Viet food try the other items. Sometimes it's hard to find Vietnamese restaurants that have a robust menu. Fairly customary for us to start with the salad rolls with the dipping sauce. It's a great appetizer that's always fresh. The vermicelli noodle bowls are a good size and filling. The bbq pork is always a favorite with the eggroll. The Pho always hits, here and they have plenty of varieties. I generally come here for the NON Pho soups. Mi Dac Biet is my favorite with the yellow egg noodles with various seafood in it. The broth is flavorful and the meal itself is filling and protein rich. The rice dishes are also very good and have the same marinated meats that the Vermicelli Bun noodles do. Top it off with an Avocado shake or for the more adventurous the salted Lemonade. read more
