Pho Whittier is pretty legit. This place is small and very clean, compared to other pho spots. The servers are very friendly and helpful if your not sure what to order. I would say come a little early if you plan to eat during lunch and dinner, it does get busy. They also offer take out so if you don't plan on eating their u can take it to go. read more

Great Viet food in whittier!! The pho is always great, get the large because the meat is scares in the regular. The crispy chow mien is great as well, my fav is the beef filet on tomato fried rice. The pork chop on broken rice is also great! Over all i hope this place sticks around, nothing else in that location has lasted. read more

Pho is great and all. Yes. Really clean place too. But the appetizer, Fried Calamari, that's where it's at! The veggies serve with the calamari are sautéed in what seems to be heavy garlicky sauce, and it was AMAZING! The food and service is not what it use to be. The first thought was, "did they change owners?" We only placed two meals. The server did not get an order correctly and when we told him, he looked confused and possibly didn't understand. Another server came to the table and brought us the pho we ordered. Yay for a pho restaurant near my house! I ate here last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Had the bun with grilled pork and shrimp, shrimp paste and egg rolls. It was seriously one of the best buns I've had the pleasure of eating, and I've eaten lots everywhere since I prefer bun over pho. The pork was seasoned perfectly and the shrimp paste was crispy and flavorful. I also had the spring rolls, which were okay. The almond milk tea and Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk were pretty tasty. The decor was pleasant, kind of modern contemporary, and very clean. It's a family-run operation and the young staff members were really fun to interact with. Overall great dining experience. I can't wait to try more dishes! read more

Pretty good pho for Whittier. I give it three stars just because they use MSG which is a cheap and unhealthy way of adding flavor to food. I've had pho that uses no MSG and has a much richer flavor than here. e.g., If you're ever in North Hollywood, try "The Rustic Spoon." It's Vietnamese-Thai fusion. The pho broth there is ten times better (no MSG), uses file mignon, and is the same price. Plus the Thai food is to die for. read more

I was sick of driving to artesia for pho so i decided to give whittier a try. I got meatball pho... it wasnt bad but it wasnt great either. Terrible place to go during lunch!!! We literally waited for 30 minutes for pho. A party of 6 arrived after us about 15 mins. They ate & paid before us & the staff still did not bring us our check, we were only a party of three. We think the staff served them first because they were the same race. Best pho outside of Little Saigon, especially the veggie and tofu pho! Generous portions of veggies, tofu, and garnishes. Pho broth is not watered down. Clean ambience, friendly service that is very on top of things. Their smoothies, especially the Honeydew with boba are amazing! read more

The pho was okay, I went in with my dad and my sister and they really skimp you on the meat. All 3 of us had two or three pieces of meat in our Pho. FYI this isn't the first time this has happened, I decided to give them another chance and they still skimped me on the meat. read more

So for starters let me say that the only thing I order here, and at most Vietnamese restaurants, is pho. I know there's many other things on the menu but I haven't been able to break my pho cravings enough to try them. PROS: The broth is very good and the meat portions are adequate. The sprouts, peppers, Thai basil and limes are always fresh. I like to get pho with well-done beef, brisket, tendon and tripe here. They have always been prepared very well. The staff has always been very nice and attentive to me.so I don't understand some of the reviews that claim otherwise. CONS: The rice noodles almost always fall apart, overcooked I guess. The price is not great for pho at 8 bucks for a large bowl. The place is small so seating can be a problem. Very small parking lot that's shared with another restaurant as well as other businesses. There are a couple of other places to get pho in the immediate area but not as good. If I want pho in this part of town then this is my choice. read more

I have been wanting to try this place its pretty busy but the customer service sucks ,the servers have zero personality, they don't welcome you they don't smile and they never check on you you, they take your order finally and you have to hunt them down for the check...don't understand why its so busy... the food was ok and its overpriced. Came here twice and twice had the Pho. Broth was pretty good: flavorful and delicate. Not jacked up w/ MSG. Granted in ain't in the same league as Pho 79, but for this neighborhood, its about the only decent came in town. Other dished we tried: Com tam (Pork chop w/rice). Good flavor, can really taste the lemon grass. Bún Thit Nuong (Grilled pork, Egg roll, rice noodle salad). Very good! Pork was seasoned well and tender. Was not the typical tough-assed shoe leather like some other places. Egg Roll: Cooked well & fresh. Can taste the taro although they were kinda light on the meat. No shrimp. Fried Calamari: RED ALERT! If you see something out of place in a restaurant's cuisine, don't be a dumb-ass hoping it will be good. If you like chewing on rubberized deep fried rings, go right ahead. Me being the eternal optimist was a dumb-ass tonight. Don't order this. This is about the best Vietnamese restaurant in area an they're open until 9pm. BTW, this place is for intimate dining. Don't bring a crowd of eight which will take up 1/2 the seating. We'll be back! read more

I so used to love this place! I've enjoyed the food here often with my daughter and grandson but won't anymore. I had the misfortune of having to spend the night in the ER for New Year's Eve, so I thought I'd treat myself to some comfort food after. I've always loved their white fish noodle soup and calamari. The prices have gone up, but the soup is still good and substantial, and that's why I gave the 2 stars. The calamari, however, is a completely different story. I ordered it a few months ago and was surprised the price had gone up so much for less calamari than I used to get before, but it was still tender, flavorful, and delicious. I thought I'd give them another chance and called in an order. I was told it would take 15 minutes, but I told them to hold off and take their time because I needed to stop at the pharmacy to pick up a prescription first. I got my order home and found that the soup was good, but the calamari was a disaster! The portion was even smaller than the last time and was swimming in oil...no exaggeration! The lettuce was completely wilted and soggy, and the few pieces of calamari were severely overcooked, tough, and rubbery. A couple of the pieces were even burned. I was too worn out to drive back and was starving, so ate it but ended up throwing some away. I'm having trouble with the camera on my phone, or I would have taken pictures. I was really looking forward to my meal but was beyond disappointed. I don't know what has happened with this place, but it's time for me to find a new place for pho! read more

Usually grab some pho and bahn mi here. Nice little spot sits hidden in the inner corner of a plaza with great service-super local rather than having to drive out to Cerritos or LA. Their other dishes (rice and noodle based) are super tasty and I haven't been disappointed with any new ones I have tried, in case pho isn't your thang. They have fresh coconuts along with other Vietnamese drinks. Always hits the spot!! read more

I have been to many Pho' places and I have to say... this place is very good. Fresh and flavorful. Had the #2 and spring rolls, both made my day. The peanut sauce was fresh and tasty. I am a frequent customer to this joint. Today I went by and as usual, the food was delicious with great service. :) However, something else was off today. The restaurant stunk. I'm not sure what it was but it smelled like they cleaned with a dirty rag. Horrid, smelled like rot. Completely took off the enticement of the food. :( read more
