I'd give 4.5 if I could as it's mainly how small the overall space was. It was confusing finding as it was inside a pho restaurant so wasn't sure to wait for the waiters in the pho restaurant to lead us up upstairs or if we were okay to head up ourselves. The waiters were nice but getting there attention was a little challenging. Communication on their system could use improvement so customers may be less confused on the seating/waitlist system but they're new. Gave speakeasy vibes and definitely a small, cozy, intimate space. About 12 chairs at the counter bar and 8 chairs (4 tables), so they are limited in space. Came on a Thursday night around 6 and was packed, came in right before they started the waitlist luckily but noticed the groups could have wait times between 30-40 mins! The drinks themselves were great, the bartender was very experienced and the drinks had unique and innovative flavors that would be hard to find elsewhere. Cooling water cocktail was very refreshing and light, perfect starting or ending drink. The pandan cocktail was very mezcal forward but enjoyable with the pandan flavor combination. Coconut cocktail was sweet and creamy(not heavy) and had what tastes like sago for texture. The price point was reasonable for the type of flavors, presentation and innovation that goes into each drink. I've had far worse cocktails costing more sadly! Appetizers were great! Perfect with booze, the tofu dip was nice, creamy and cheesy but had texture from the broccoli and side of pickled vegetables and crackers/bread. Good Vietnamese street food apps. There is a parking garage close by with about 6-8 dollars for 2 hrs we stayed so not expensive. Came up after eating dinner at the shared restaurant below (I would definitely recommend it for top-notch pho). We had to wait a little under 10 minutes for seating to open up. Side note: there's an iPad on the left pillar at the top of the stairs to check in for the waitlist for the bar. It can be hard to find. But the drinks were tasty. I really love their use of pandan. I've never had the flavor come across so clean and fresh before. You should definitely ask for their special pandan shot (not on the menu) for a little extra burst in fun. Ambiance could be better and they could invest a little in decor but that was the only downside. We even got to meet with the owner and she was pleasant and told us about the business and their shared business The Boat. This bar is in Pho Bac in Denny Triangle. When you enter the restaurant, there is a set of stairs in the middle of the restaurant that you can NOT miss. Seating is intimate and perfect for a date. There is a main bar with stools and about 5-6 small tables that seat 2-3 people. The drinks here are creative and delicious. The drinks descriptors are entirely accurate. I have had the cooling water, coconut, and salted eggs. Both cooling water and coconut are super refresing. The salted egg comes with an egg yolk on a toothpick that pairs well and interestingly with the cocktail. Definitely get the cua dip if you want to share and have a salty/savory dip that you would want to eat without even dipping any of the crackers/bread in. Overall, would come back! When it gets busier a waitlist starts that you can signup on with the ipad near the entrance of Phocific Standard Time. read more

Amazing bartenders and cocktails! Truly unique drinks that have been thoughtfully created and crafted. Despite being very busy, bartenders took the time to have a conversation with us and answer our random questions like what it means for a liquor to be "pho fat washed" and "how to get perfectly clear ice cubes." Can't wait to come back but afraid that the crowds will get even bigger because of their growing popularity! Would recommend getting there right at opening to put your name down and ensure you're able to secure a seat for the night. You can explore SLU/Belltown if you have a bit of a wait or eat in their downstairs restaurant area. What a wonderful little find! These kinds of spots usually fall off my radar due to the low volume of reviews but a friend picked this out and I am SO glad she did. The drinks are so creative and unlike anything I've ever tried before. The mastermind behind the drink recipes was thete making the drinks all night and you could tell he truly loved the work. The space is small, given that it's the floor above the owner's pho shop, but the service is wonderful. The workers (including said cocktail curator) also spoke very highly of their employers and that was music to my ears. Wish we had one of these where I live! I visited this spot with a private party and had expectations of good cocktails and not much else. Not only were the cocktails great, but the food was fantastic! I kept eating and ordering more food because I wanted to try everything -- and I think they legitimately had the best Banh Mi I've ever had, with perfectly flavored tofu and bread that was both soft and crunchy in all the right ways. The atmosphere is really cool, but I will say it is a bit hot and stuffy up top where the bar is located. After a few drinks, though, you can barely even tell. Really great spot! We arrived shortly after 5pm and there were plenty of seats available. It did fill up fairly quickly though. The cocktails were very unique and well-made (try the tofu martini!) and the pho was excellent and arrived quickly. Not as many food options as the full restaurant downstairs-- the food section on the menu is titled "snacks"-- but still enough for a meal. The cocktails were on the pricier side, in my opinion, but they were one-of-a-kind so it makes sense. Great vibes, good service, I'll come back to try more of the drinks! read more

I came here on a Friday night with four friends, and the place was already packed at 7pm (for good reason). The atmosphere is very cozy -- and a bit humid -- and the staff were very friendly and casual. There was one small table, intended for three people, that the five of us crowded at; one of the owners brought out two plastic stools to make room. The menu had a nice variety of drinks, and while there weren't many food options as you might expect, I was pretty blown away by the bánh bột lọc (tapioca dumplings). They were a good snacking size, savory, and a perfect level of spicy. You can also get a "cup" of phở from the Phở Bắc downstairs, which comes in a comically large cup noodles container. Aside from the phở, the food is great for sharing a variety of snacks with a small group. I got the trứng muối cocktail, which comes with a full salted egg yolk as garnish. The cocktail itself wasn't the most exciting on its own, but nibbling on the yolk between sips brought out a new dimension that made the drink very memorable! All in all, this place has a great atmosphere, interesting drinks, and a tasty menu that has me looking forward to coming back. read more

He put our bills right in front of us and told us that we reached their 90 minutes seating rule and need to order another drink to sit there. Otherwise, we need to leave. I moved from New York to Seattle and have visited many countries. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. When he talked to my friend and I, he had a serious poker face. When he talked to a group of white women who were sitting by us. He smiled and talked to them with very nice and positive attitude. Again, this is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Appreciate that this bar is authentically viet. I ordered the Khoa Was Here cocktail which is a shot and pho broth back. The broth comes in a tea pot to keep it hot but that lasted like 5 min. You're instructed to sip on the shot and sip on broth, not just shoot the whole thing. If that's the suggestion, the broth needs to be kept hotter for longer. Also ordered the shot version of the egg coffee cocktail. Strong viet coffee with a delicious thick egg custard on top. My friend ordered the salted egg cocktail which she really enjoyed.
