pick up stix is one our favorites Asian fast food place. Staff is always welcoming and kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is not a very noisy location so it is perfect for a good lunch or dinner spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] we love their house chicken and fried rice. you need to also try the house chow main. a place worth trying.

I give Pick Up Stix a solid 3.5 (the great customer service bumped it to a 4 star). I came here with my niece and decided to dine in. The employee up front was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the shrimp and vegetables which was good but I was shocked when it was slightly fried. I really expected a boiled shrimp but that's ok. The white wine sauce was good and the vegetables were delicious. The entree also included white rice which wasn't great but it was ok. The service was amazing. They brought our food to the table and kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything. I'm not in the area a lot but if I come back I would definitely dine in again.

Had a great lunch at Pick Up Stix. The Firecracker Chicken is a must try. The other dishes also looked so enticing. Definitely a must try!!! Service is also very good. Food was warm and served quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Clean lobby, tasty and very flavorful food. The man behind the counter seems so friendly and I believe he must be the manager. The staff all speaks Spanish and they all seem to be having a conversation full of smiles. I've had the fire cracker before but this time I chose the Mongolian steak and it's 5/5. My white rice was a little hard but it okay. 11/22/23

Used to come here frequently on my lunch break years ago when I worked across the street. Haven't been since and decided to grab lunch here with my bf since we were both craving it! I would always come here for the steamed dumplings since it was the quickest and easiest thing to eat in a 30 min break so I never actually got to try their other food. Got the dumplings again this time but also tried the firecracker chicken and drunken noodles. I'm not one for spicy food but my bf is and we shared. Loved the drunken noodles! A little too dry for me so I added whatever sauce came with the dumplings and it was perfect! A bit spicy but not too bad. I was able to handle it and it tasted great! I'm not sure if or how new it is on the menu but definitely recommend it! IG: @ammysalamii

If you like Chinese food I definitely recommend coming here. I am not sure why the reviews are low…read morebut I had a great time. I came in on a weekday afternoon and got seated fairly quickly. They served my party very fast. I got the sweet and pungent shrimp and it was so good. I usually am not a fan of chinese food but I loved my meal here. The portions are really huge and I ended up having to take some food home because I couldn't finish what I ordered. Overall I recommend the Sweet and Pungent Shrimp! It was so good!! I will be definitely coming back.

You take the good, you take the bad, you add it up and the you'll have, a three star review…read more I love the space. Most of the takes are round which is the best for group dining and conversation. On top of the round table, each one came with a lazy Susan for easy sharing of dishes. The staff was super friendly and attentive which is great. The menu is basic and easy to read with a simple layout but nice options. So why three stars? Well the food was hit or miss on this day. It was the first time I've eaten at hot wok. But others in the party frequent the restaurant. One person ordered the sizzling rice soup and said it had been better on other occasions. For the tale we ordered a pork dumpling starter, which was fine. Our main dishes were the orange chicken that was good. The kung pao chicken that was bad. A tad dry and flavorless. Ma Po tofu for a vegan eater which the said wasn't the best representation and for some reason the kitchen didn't add onions to help it be vegan. We had vegetable chow fun noodles that were good. We had sautéed green beans that were sautéed with ginger and not garlic which weee bad. You add it up and there's your three stars. I'd eat there again but be more directive on how I'd want the dishes done if possible.

Still love this place. Ick. Now, I'm basing my review on only one lunch by myself, so figure that in as you read…read more This place certainly loves it's oil. Everything I had was laden with this heavy, greasy, fattening stuff. If you're a fan of cooking oil, this is your go-to spot for sure. I had the "gourmet" dinner. That means Mongolian beef, my usual in basic old-school Chinese places like this. I chose won ton soup over the seafood soup choice. The broth was fine, but the won tons were thick and doughy. Not great. The beef seemed of a decent quality, but was absolutely floating in oil. This made the green and white onions too soft and mushy and dripping with oil. Ditto the very messy foil wrapped chicken appetizer, but the egg roll was okay, if bland. There are plenty of excellent choices for all types of Chinese cuisine in the Valley. No need to come here. Again though, remember I only had one dish, but I have an idea it's indicative of the entire menu.

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

Finally popped in after constantly seeing it on my FYP and it did not disappoint. I ordered the…read morespicy beef noodle soup combo which came with 4 dumplings and a beverage. The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.
