I agree with other reviewers that Pie Five does not have much ambiance nor frills. It reminds me of some of the first fast-food burger places of the 1970's. That aside, the food is just delectable and reasonably priced. The dough is made by the owner or employee on the premises the same morning. The selections for flavors and toppings is quite large, including the cauliflower crust. The posted menu is large and easily read, though it takes time to decide. Drinks are as ordered and refreshing. Prices seem a little higher than the major chain pizza shops, but the quality is worth a little bit more. I would give it a 5 if dining in was more appealing. read more

Stopped by on a Friday evening around 7:00PM and man was it busy. Expect long lines but good service. The line takes a while due to cooking it while you wait, which Im fine with as long as the pizza is hot and fresh. Location can be a bit better in keeping clean. We were really excited to try this place out- our kids too and it was okay but not amazing. The atmosphere was great- incredible family friendly but the pizza was just okay. Their red pizza sauce wasn't great, so if you go, I recommend a specialty pizza with a different sauce. The BBQ chicken was delicious. Our kids just didn't love the traditional cheese and pepperoni and I agreed with them- it just wasn't wonderful. And they didn't eat much of their pizzas which frustrating! Our visit here was average. Two of the three pizzas were just fine, but the third was very poor. It was made with their new Traditional crust and the pizza was soggy and doughy. The toppings were fine, however. I don't know if this was a result of too many toppings on the Five Star, or a property of the crust. The other issue with the restaurant is the drink "robot" which is used for self serving drinks. It's a single shot, one person at a time process and when there is a line it can take too long. It would be better if there were two of them at the location. For fast food, I guess you can't expect gourmet but I did expect a better pizza. read more

My wife and I decided to try Pie Five because we saw an ad for grain free crust and they also do gluten free. My wife was super excited because we happened to be in Ft. Worth during the promo. WOW, what a disappointment. The grain free crust was fine but it is a Subway for pizza. Gluten free - are you kidding me - NO, they DO NOT DO gluten free unless you are only eating gluten free by choice. If you have to eat gluten free like us, DO NOT eat here. They did change their gloves but then used the exact same sides they had been sticking their hands in and touching gluten crusts. They used the same brush to spread oil on the crust. HELLO, this is not a gluten free process. Thankfully we have done some serious gut healing over the last few years so my wife was only sick for a week instead of a month. Shame on you Pie Five for calling what you do gluten free!!!! We will NEVER eat at another Pie Five anywhere!! The pizza was only marginal to boot and the place was not what I would call clean. I don't know how this is going to turn out by the end of this review but I'm stuck between three and four stars. I think someone earlier mentioned that this is the Subway of pizzas and that is EXACTLY how I would describe this place. Sometimes you have to wait a tad, but no biggie!) Here's where the lost a few stars. -The alfredo sauce is not very good. It just doesn't have the right flavor and definitely not what I am looking for on a pizza. -The BBQ sauce is very sweet. It IS good but for me not on a whole pizza. -The service...hmm. It's decent. Fine even. Not rude but not overly kind either and when I put almost everything on my pizza...I feel a tad judged. (Of course it doesn't stop me BUT feeling judged isn't awesome.) Here's the good stuff. -The magic dust of parmesan, romano and italian seasoning is yummy. I always put it on my pizza at the end. -The thin crust is crispy and has a mild flavor letting the sauce really take over. (Like it or hate but I like it.) -The spicy sauce is LEGIT! Decent little pizza joint. The best thing about this place is how convenient it is to get in and out. They have good pizza recipes, beer and soft drinks. It's kind of like the Quiznos of pizza. Everything is an assembly line process. You can mix and match crust, sauces, and toppings or choose one of their special recipes. I was in and out today in under ten minutes for lunch which is awesome for me working a busy schedule, and the pizza is pretty good too! read more

Their salads are served in a "pizza crust" bowl...small and thin and crispy and i think it's made with cheddar cheese... whatever it was.. i said to myself "im not gonna eat that crust, that is too much pizza crust in a meal..." but one taste... and that was it..we practically ate the whole bowl. For 10 bux you can get a pizza, a salad OR dessert, AND a 22oz drink. They have healthier options (a 100 cal per slice pizza) and vegan and gluten-free options as well. I've always loved Pie Five for their gluten free options and this location seems knowledgeable enough about a gluten free environment. The customer service, however, is one of the worst I've seen at a Pie Five location. I have had a young girl roll her eyes at me when I stated my order was gluten free and it was in fact an allergy on one occasion. On the second, while my boyfriend and I were waiting on our pizzas to finish I was shuffling my feet and the guy finishing our order proceeded to ask my boyfriend "is she alright? Is there something wrong with her?" It was embarrassing and incredibly disrespectful. I understand customer service is a rough job, I've been in that world my entire adult life. I do hope that these reviews mean something, as this restaurant deserves better than what these employees are exemplifying. read more

I tried the cauliflower crust for the first time this week. I was so impressed. It thin and crispy and did not have an odd aftertaste. I enjoyed all of my regular ingredients on it and ate the whole pizza. I am not even ashamed. I added garlic, spinach, regular marinara , chicken, mushrooms, banana peppers, kalamata olives, magic dust, crushed red pepper, and cilantro. It was worth every calorie which was 1/2 of the regular thin crust. I can't wait to have it again. The server highly recommended it so I thought , what the heck! I'm a fan of Pie Five. It's one off the few places I can go with my family where there are options for my vegan son and gluten-free husband. Service was a little slower than the Keller location. As other reviews have mentioned, the dining area often needs to be cleaned. Because they're so busy, I can see that there would have to be more people working to be able to wait on customers and keep the dining area cleaned. One thing I will say about this location (particularly compared to Keller) is that this one takes gluten-free much more seriously, to the point of completely cleaning everything off all the way down the prep line. It definitely slows things down a lot, but they clearly take food allergies very very seriously. read more

Alliance Town Center location Their way of serving gluten-free is NOT celiac friendly. There a major cross contamination issues here. I wish they understood the consequences for people who have celiac disease better and were more careful. I got extremely ill after my visit. Amazing concept. Not to mention amazing pizza. Personally I like the Classic Pan (and I'm a thin crust guy). The Classic Pan is not even close to the greasy mess Pizza Hut gives ya. It's light, airy, and crispy. And not too thick at all. I got the Chicken BBQ pizza w/jalapeños. I agree with another reviewer... it's a bit sweet. Maybe ask for light sauce and it would be better. But I would get it again. Next time I'm trying the Carbonara because I saw someone's and it looked really good. Finally, the best thing is.
