Pie Heaven Bakery has been on my list to try for a long time. I finally made it! There was not much parking beside the small building. But fortunately I found a spot. There was a small patio with two tables in the front. I checked out the boards inside to see what pies were still available. I stopped by at roughly 1 PM. I wanted the coconut pie but that was gone and the employee suggested the coconut custard as she said it was her favorite. So I ordered one slice of coconut custard and a small chicken pot pie. I jumped into the pie after dinner later that evening. Oh my the pie was fabulous! Creamy and sweet with tons of coconut. But not overly sweet. The crust was flaky and delish also. Highly recommend the coconut custard! I waited a few days to heat the chicken pot pie in the oven. She added an instruction sheet in my bag which was helpful. The sheet explained how to heat up the pie as well as how long both the savory and sweet pies last once you take them home. The chicken pot pie was yummy! It was filled with lots of vegetables and plenty of chicken. The inside wasn't runny like most store-bought chicken pot pies but the filling was good! I wish the crust had gotten a little crunchier on the top. But maybe that's because I didn't bake it for three days. You can purchase slices of savory or sweet pies or whole pies. They are no longer taking orders for Thanksgiving but suggested you come by and grab one and freeze it.

Such a cute place we had never been before but we will for sure be returning! The workers were all so sweet and such a joy to converse with and the pies are amazing, we got the blueberry pie and the Shepards pie and a slice of apple pie as well. Everything we got was amazing and delicious! Would definitely recommend to any one looking for a pie, sweet or savory!

I was in the area and really craving some coconut cream pie so my fiancée and I drove over to this little pie shop near Neptune beach. I wish I could say I had a great experience and that this was my new go-to pie shop, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The vibes here are rancid. Despite the uncomfortable experience (which I'll explain below), I would have still given two stars if I had liked the pie I purchased from here, but I did not. The woman running the shop told me that they were known for their pie crust and so I was hopeful, but ultimately disappointed in the flavor of the crust. The filling was fine. It tasted like your run-of-the-mill coconut cream pie, not unlike what you can purchase from a grocery store. The crust is genuinely where I had the biggest issue. It had an unpleasant aftertaste. I'm assuming that the shop uses either shortening or a cheap butter because it was all I could taste while eating my pie. And for the prices they charge here, $8 per slice and $14 for a small pie, was expecting more. To explain our uncomfortable experience here: My fiancée and I are a bit more on the alternative looking side and we were made very aware of it by the stares and weird looks from two of the three staff members that were working here. The only person who wasn't standoffish seemed to be the woman running the store. She said that she wasn't the owner, but that she had worked there for a long time and explained the shop's mission to me while my fiancé looked around. Though I'm disappointed in myself for not leaving right then, I was really craving some pie and as we were the only ones in the shop, I felt kind of obligated to get something. On our way out, I noticed the anti-abortion signs they had hanging in the shop and was again kicking myself for not leaving without purchase. In this day and age, you vote with your dollar; small and large businesses alike. It's obvious that my fiancée and I are not the target demographic for this shop, but perhaps someone reading this is. I just didn't appreciate how aware we were made of it during what will surely be our first and only visit here.

This is one of the best places in Mayport/Jacksonville to buy a pie, quiche or other. The small pies already made up are $7.00 and it goes up to quiche and pies up to $39.00. Why so much? Because they only bake with the finest and best ingredients. Pros-great baked items and staff. Cons:parking is small Order your holiday pies early!

What an adorable little shop! With the sweetest staff members! They had pies by the slice as well as full pies and little 6 inch pies! I was craving a chocolate cream one so I went with the 6 inch Triple chocolate cream pie so I could bring it home to share with my husband! It had a lot of chocolate cream flavor and I loved the pie crust! Perfect dessert! Can't wait to try more in the future!

I've driven past this tooo many time to have never stopped in. I'm so glad I finally did bc I was soooooo satisfied with all my treats! Ordered a slice of margarita key lime and triple berry. A small 6in lemon meringue and key lime and everything was fresh and flavorful. The slices are plenty big and their selections are amazing! Everyone working was professional, inviting, and friendly! Can't wait to come and try more!! Thank you for a first great experience!

I had no clue this place existed!! And now I am Obsessed!!!…read more I created my own - Nutella and PB. Wow just wow. They were made fresh and they were spectacular. So yummy. The employee was lovely. Kind, helpful and friendly. Located at Jax Beach.

My daughter and her husband wanted donuts at 8:00 at night. We couldn't find many open donut…read moreshops; and my husband said we couldn't get "ordinary" donuts from a grocery store, so we found Lukumades by searching on our phones. It was a little bit of a drive away, near the beach, and there was absolutely no parking on a Friday night. My husband dropped me off and circled while I placed a few to go orders. It was a cute little shop with donuts, shakes, and ice cream. The donuts are not traditional donuts; more like deep fried donut holes that are covered with all kinds of yummy toppings. They're also served nice and hot and in 10 packs. They had lots of cool donut flavors like: Dark Delight, Maple Bacon, , White Tella, and Love U Matcha, The prices range from $8.75 to $9.50 per box. They all sounded yummy; but we decided on Twix Fix, drizzled with caramel, melted chocolate, and cookies, and Lotus Crunch, which was topped with melted Biscoff cookies. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes and the bag of donuts was nice and warm. We ate them when we got back home. They were more chewy and heavier than regular donut holes, but rich and delicious. You could really only eat a few; so a box of 10 is a decent sized dessert for 2 people to share. Lukumades is definitely a very unique donut experience and worth supporting because they're not a huge chain. You'll be glad you tried them....and its worth the drive.

They refused to put my ice cream in a to go cup... how insane is that?…read more When ordering I asked if they could make the sundaes togo. They told me they don't do that... I said so everyone who orders has to eat it here? No one can take it to go? I asked if they could just put the ice cream in a cup, or add a lid to avoid melt spillage. They told me no that they would have to charge me for a medium since it's in a medium cup (even though the amount is still that of a small) or offered a flat top lid that clearly does not fit over the ice cream container... I asked if they couldn't just put the same amount of a small in a medium cup - and again they said no. I was so shocked at the lack of ability to do the most simple, and what should be common, of asks. I would had just not ordered and went to Whitts Creamery instead, but I was with my niece who really wanted ice cream. So with no lids, the Ice cream proceeded to melt everywhere on the drive home. The customer service was awful and I would not recommend Dreamette or any of their locations that abide but this extremely silly rule.

Went after dinner nearby…read more Staff was nice. Order at the window/outside. Two small benches, but mostly meant to take to go. Two chocolate shakes and a vanilla pb cup- both enjoyed. One small strawberry cone, chocolate dipped. Good, but not much flavor in the chocolate dip. They do offer a lot more options and flavors. Large variety.

This place has great reviews and fully booked ahead of time so our expectations were high when we…read moremade our reservation. They're only available on the weekends after 5PM and we had to wait a month to go. Yelpers were raving about their Ragu dish. Their menu is very limited and by looking at the pictures, that Ragu definitely caught my eye. I'm a meat eater and this plate has chunks of beef so I ordered it. Come to find out, they change the meat and pasta often so the meat they put in Ragu that night was ground beef (like bolognese) and the pasta was the large macaroni type. Very disappointed to say the least. Steak chunks in parpadelle pasta just like what they served prior would have been five stars! My wife's pasta dish was also changed to gnocchi which she didn't care for. We definitely went on a wrong night, but what can you do if your reservation is still a month away? The only thing I enjoyed was the tiramisu. Light and not too sweet. Service was slow although our server was friendly and accommodating. Mamasamas is only available for dinner and maybe because it's cooler at night. The place had fans running throughout and windows open. Not sure if it has air conditioning.

Mamasama is only open from Friday to Sunday only. so we made the reservation a month before because…read morethey are always fully booked. We arrived and was glad they have ample parking. It was quite loud outside but it wasn't when we went inside. Here was our experience: Service- slow and not very attentive. When we arrived, we waited for a few minutes without being acknowledged but the staff definitely saw us. It's a small restaurant and it's hard to miss the people coming in. After receiving our drinks, we were ready to order but our server immediately left us. Usually after serving drinks, they would ask if we are ready to order or if we need more time to check the menu. He did neither. So we were left waiting again. We had to call his attention to order. Food - we ordered the bread (Pane Fresco), it was supposedly baked fresh so I was expecting it to be warm, it was not. They did provide another basket that was warmed. The burrata was good but not great. I enjoyed my husband's Ragu, you can really tell that the pasta was house made, it was cooked Al dente, delicious but small portion for the price. I was disappointed with my order. Arrabbiata is one of my favorite sauces and although it was tasty, I did not particularly like the gnocchi. This is probably the first time I did not finish a dish in a while. The highlight of our dinner was the Tiramisu. It was rich and creamy, I would recommend ordering this. I noticed that the menu changes when I checked Yelp prior to coming here. But the only difference would be the type of meat and pasta they use in the Ragu and Arrabbiata. Overall, not a great experience but would give them another try in the future.
