This is an absolute must visit for me every time I visit Chicago. I love their beers, I love their vibe, and most importantly, I love their pizza. BE WARNED, the pizzas are massive. Huge. I was smart this time and went with a personal pizza - I got their famous meatballs, banana peppers and olives and it was a really good size. The crust is amazing. They did skimp on the olives though which was a bit disappointing. I paired it with the ottoman beer and it was 10/10. The inside is just so reminiscent of a quintessential midwestern bar/brewery and it never disappoints. I sat at the bar this time so the service was very attentive and they checked on us often. Great time, great food, will be back.

Very fun experience! If going on a weekend with a large group, would recommend making reservations. We had a large group and were able to try multiple pizzas. We had the atomic, sliced potato, honey butter fried chicken, and a tomato pie. The pizzas were huge, but with the big group I enjoyed being able to try a slice of every pizza. They were so delicious, with amazing thin crust. Service was pretty quick and they were great at refilling out water pitchers.

Came here with a large group and got 4 pizzas: a build your own tomato pie, a Hot Doug's Atomic, a Sliced Potato, and a Honey Butter Fried Chicken. The pizzas are HUGE. Super delicious, great crust, and very unique flavors. It was nice to try all 4, as each one has a different vibe to and made the meal have a lot of variety. The Honey Butter Fried Chicken pie was my favorite. The restaurant itself was lively and had games playing on every screen. It was also pretty quick, considering we ordered so much.

Yum. Good drinks and good vibes. Pizzas are MASSIVE. For 5 people, we started with a large salad and got two large pizzas and it was definitely a little bit too much food (luckily we had a sixth person join us late and finish up most of the remnants). The caesar salad was really good though we don't need to get a large (it was quite large). Both pizzas were excellent. Hot Doug's had a little bit of spice to it but nothing that I could t handle (as someone with low spice tolerance). We also really liked the Larry which was the special at the time and some of the proceeds went to PAWS which we loved!

Piece pizza is not my favorite pizza in the city, but it's a solid option! The food and drink options are reasonable, and the service is friendly! The restaurant is large, and one can usually always find an open table. Biggest con is I'm shocked there is no ranch in the restaurant given every midwesterner eats ranch with their pizza!

Dang.. That pizza was memorable.. I needed to grab a bite to eat before headed out to O'Hare on the Blue Line. So, I stopped by Wicker Park to grab some coffee and a bit to eat. I found Piece Brewery & Pizzeria open early for lunch. My experience at Lou Malnati's was subpar and wasn't able to make it to Pequod's. I rarely eat pizza since I'm on a "lower" carb diet and So Cal doesn't have pizza that has me craving for. This pizzeria serves up New Haven Style Pizza which I've never had but have seen on various Youtube vids. The waitress recommended Hot Doug's Atomic Sausage Pizza.. Pizza came out straight out of the pizza oven. The thin crust was pliable and the bottom of the pizza had a nice char flavor. This pizza was topped with pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions and house made sausage. The marriage of these flavors is a perfect match for may tummy(s). I was thinking I was going to only eat half of this pizza and take the rest on the plane which likely wouldn't be good after a few hours. I even offered the family next to me the other half which they declined. So, like a true Yelper, I just ate the whole thing. I know it's New Haven style not the same as Chicago deep dish but this pizza experience redeemed my overall pizza experience in town. Not sure the next time I'll have pizza. The last pizza I had was likely 2-3 years ago. But this pizzeria just ruined it for me. Lol. The waitress

Went for lunch on a weekday. The service was so friendly and the pizza was BOMB. The beer was great too. It's a huge space with a cozy vibe. Can't wait to go back!

What do I start with first?? The staff? The owner? The pie? Since it's Pizza, I will start with the pie. The Tomato pie is awesome, delicious and soooo New Haven!! The flavor of the pie just lingers and hangs in your mouth...the crisp crust...!! As much New Haven pizza eaten by me, this was my first Tomato pie. I have found a new pizza to fan over! Love open space inside, and watching the signs being hand made! On to the server Clayton...He was awesome, helpful, attentive. Thanks for the intro to Piece. Finally, the owner Bill Jacobs....great meeting him and we appreciated his hospitality! We WILL be back!!!!

In Chicago, there are no shortage of places where you can get quality pizza. If you ask for a recommendation, you're probably directed to a deep dish or tavern style pizzeria. That being said, Piece has been one of favorites for some time. Their New Haven pie is the perfect combination of crispy, light, and strong enough to hold the toppings. We ordered the Heirloom Tomato pie for carry out. After a quick broiling to restore the integrity of the crust, we thoroughly enjoyed the pizza. While we didn't dine in, I've previously eaten at the brewery pub, and have always received great service and great beer!

I've been meaning to try Piece for a while and finally had a chance to go recently. My best friend is from Connecticut so he's talked a lot about New Haven style pizza throughout the years, but I never got to try it until now. Once you walk in, the vibes are pretty cool and there's sports playing on various TVs and lots of lively conversation in the air. The place is bustling on a Friday night, with a solid half hour wait for a table. While waiting, I got an apple cider spritz which was fruity and refreshing. For food, my friends and I shared two medium-sized pizzas, which is more than enough for a party of 3. The first is the Honey Butter Fried Chicken Pizza with no bleu cheese, and the second one we customized with red sauce, italian sausage, and mushrooms. I felt that the fried chicken pizza was kind of on the dry side, with very little sauce to speak of. The fried chicken on it was also overcooked and dry. Not my favorite. I really did enjoy the red sauce pizza with sausage and mushrooms though! The crust is thin and crisp, a much-needed respite from the deep dish all over Chicago. I did feel like I had to chew the crust a lot, and my jaw eventually got tired after like 4 slices. While the pizza wasn't particularly mindblowing, I did enjoy my experience and would probably come back to hang out with friends who wanna try New Haven style. Food: 3.5/5 Price: 4.25/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 4.25/5 Overall: 3.75/5

I got the New Haven pizza with clams and added bacon. Overall, it was a solid pizza, but it didn't blow my mind. The clams were def there, but they didn't really taste like much? Bacon was thick and crispy - probably the best part. Crust was alright; it's like a wood fired pizza, however, I personally prefer some crispiness (the crust was pretty floppy, even out of the air fryer). Nonetheless, you can definitely taste the garlic on the white pizza, which I enjoyed.

TL;DR: not worth, go to Parlor pizza instead I was underwhelmed to be honest. I think this place is fine, but there are better pizza places with better vibes better beer and better service. The vibes here were just not impressive. The place felt crowded, loud, and lacked personality. I had a hard time hearing myself speak. I had to try the lobster pizza because I am a huge fan of lobster. The pizza was HUGE could feed 4 people easy. I don't know what I was expecting by a lobster pizza. It was a limited time menu thing so I'm glad I got to try it, but I think it's better in theory. The beers were fine, but overpriced. The service was extremely slow, and we spent a good 30 minutes trying to get our bill and a to-go box. Overall I'd go back only if someone else was paying and they really wanted to go and I couldn't convince them to go to Parlor Pizza instead.

Snagged a Friday night reservation, service was great, staff was friendly. Amazing pies, salad was just ok. Will definitely return!

We also shared the seafood pizza, duck prosciutto pizza, cup and char pepperoni pizza, and the gnocchi. All three pizzas were delicious, with very thin and crispy crusts. The seafood pizza came with a soup or broth that you could pour over it, which was nice and it also came with so much seafood. The cheese was slightly firm, but the pizza was still flavorful and enjoyable. The duck prosciutto had a noticeable duck aroma, melty cheese, and a rich, savory flavor. The cup and char pepperoni pizza was satisfying as well, especially the pepperoni with its crisp, curled edges. The gnocchi was another standout. Overall, the food was delicious and the waterfront setting made for a lovely dinner. I just wish we had been seated at a more comfortable table for our party size.

We grabbed a reservation for an early Sunday lunch the day before, but the restaurant was pretty empty. Tavern Style Pepperoni (4.75/5): Crust is super crunchy and the tomato sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Pepperoni was uber savory and salty with a good crisp on em. Texturally, everything about this was perfect and you can just tell all the ingredients used were high quality. Mozzarella Sticks (4.5/5): Picture perfect mozzarella sticks. Insane crunch with a good amount of salt on the outside and melty, stretchy cheese when it hits your table. As with the pizza, the tomato in the marinara sauce really shines through.

Vibes in there are super fun and chic, casual but still cute and a little bit old-school I had done my research on our order lol but was really impressed by everything. We started with mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini, and meatballs, which were all generous portions and very tasty. The mozzarella sticks were very silky on the inside crunchy on the outside and came with a nice flavorful pomodoro dip. The meatballs had an Italian sausage/fennel flavor and were very tender, and the zucchini chips were the star of the apps!! Nice and crisp, they were cut into little super thin chips not like a traditional fried zucchini and the dipping sauce on that was also delicious and super fresh tasting Finally, we tried the spicy vodka tavern style pizza and added pepperoni to half. It was great both ways, super flavorful and the crust was perfectly crisp without being dry or overly crumbly. Pepperoni was a nice addition but not needed for sure. Would love to come back to try a pasta and dessert!

Big bang buffalo- standard buffalo. Can't go wrong. Hot honey- pretty good, honey flavor, some sweetness Garlic galaxy glaze- this is really good if you like garlic flavor. I would get this again. Bayou in the sky- super super good. I would get this again. Hint of spice, hint of sweet. Carolina bbq- tasted like straight deli mustard. I would pass. The pizza, even though they advertise Detroit Style pizza, their take is more like Focaccia style pizza. They provide nice crunch, not enough sauce. Pretty airy dough. Drooling mushroom- they offer lots of mushrooms on top but the rest of the pizza was not too great. Next time, I would get Ham Radio- pepperoni, bacon, sausage, got and sweet pepper.

So delicious After getting it, my buddy had to get one too haha One of us had the moonwalk cheese, we go out for a lot of pizza together, and he said it was he thought his favorite of anywhere. Another one of our crew got the pepperoni pile up loved. And I got the sweet and salty space candy pizza With bacon, pineapple, pickled red onion, goat cheese, sambal. Genius, the goat cheese, instead of ricotta was the move for this pizza! All the flavors worked in perfect harmony.Nothing short of amazing.
