Service was mediocre. Two young boys probably their first job. Wore AirPods, no customer service and had crocs on. The entire store was filthy, mold on machines and the floor, mold on the counter near the ingredients. I don't know what is happening here but they either need to be shut down so they don't cause sickness in the community or do a revamp and a rehire ASAP. I want this place to do well, I really like there pizza but employees need to clean here. I came here two weeks in a row and the same spots were still not clean. The month prior I had come still the same messes in the same areas. They are not cleaning. This location is going to get someone sick if they don't clean their drink machines, there is mold growing in the icee machine. And no one wipes down the tables, drink area, cash register counter, or sweeps. I am going to call the Health inspector if you don't sanitize the next time I go in. Please do better, I want this business to succeed. Dirty drain, walls, counters, floors, walls. I didn't take all the photos of this place because I wanted to be discreet but it's pretty bad. Had lunch here since we were in the area for Vacaville Outlet Day today. I loved how my pizza turned out. I combined the buffalo sauce and their house red sauce and it turned out spicy (just enough for my liking). I enjoyed my pizza. Too bad their ice machine was broken so the fountain drinks were not cold. The service was great. The black with the beard guy (I am including his color because while eating, I saw another male employee came out from the back who has a beard too but is white so to make a distinction between them since I didn't see a nameplate on them) made our pizza while the lady was doing the cash register. I got the high rise dough since I feel the regular thin crust one often burns in the oven. Only one person was working while another person was cleaning so it was a bit slow with service. Food comes out quickly and it wasn't too busy with other customers. read more

The place seems dirty and not well maintained. You can see heavy wear on the property. It needs a remodel. While the food came out ok, it was not particularly fast and there were only 2 people working. Attitudes and service was marginal at best. Overall super disappointed. I haven't been to this location in years and thought we'd give it a try. Here's a list of problems: 1. We came in 45 min after opening, the lights were off... 2. Employees not wearing gloves 3. Absolutely no food quality, basil was literally black 4. CLEANLINESS... soda drain mold all over it, bubbler drinks filled with mold, floor dirty. Nothing about the restaurant was clean. (They need an ecosure visit ASAP) 5. My husbands pizza was literally raw in the middle 6. My pizza was burnt on the bottom 7. My kids pizza was not even circular, when putting it in the oven it must have folded and they did not fix or adjust. 8. $56 on food that was not eatable 9. Employees In street clothes, definitely no uniform. The service was okay.. friendly, however they knew what they were doing/serving. Fraud alert!!! Last year, I ordered my pizza online for pick up. I paid for my pizza and printed out my confirmation. I got to pieology and I was told they didn't have my order even though I had confirmation. They told me it was never paid. It never went through. It's a glitch in their system. Blah blah blah. I didn't believe that shit for a second and the fact they had 2 workers confusing me and told me they didn't have a manager on site... Long story short and I was wasting too much time arguing with the lady I paid for my pizza AGAIN and left. I never bought pizza from them ever again. My friend who placed an online order for pick up and had a confirmation was told the SAME thing today. She ordered at 10:44 got a receipt said it'll be ready at 11:30... she got there and they said they don't have an order for her! She told them "I have a receipt" they looked and they found it and said they'll work on it. She spoke to EMMA. She came back and they said it wasn't paid for she said how if I have a receipt they said it didn't go through I said how did I get a receipt then? They said it should be refunded and they made me pay again didn't give me the pizza until she paid... Another employee also came from the back and was wearing a mesh mask. Super unsanitary and she was handling food. Pieology lost multiple customers because after we told our stories and shared with others were ALL never coming back there ever AGAIN!!! read more

This review is for their outside patio area. We patronized this Pieology in Vacaville and decided to sit out in the patio as the weather was nice. We first sat where the bistro tables with chairs are but due to the sun blinding us a bit we decided to move. Hubby wanted to sit in the lounge area with the wicker furniture and orange cushions. I told him the cushions were filthy, but he insisted and switched some cushions around to those that looked a little decent. The patio was filthy all around. Trash and debris all over. Table tops of the wicker furniture area were sticky with crud all over. Hubby got an employee to wipe the table down. Thanks to the employee for doing that as he wiped it down with a smile and asked if we needed anything else. Management needs to check on the patio area when people sit out there. As for the cushions, the covers are removable and am sure can be cleaned. Please clean them or replace them with a waterproof cover that is wipeable. A dirty restaurant, inside or out, leaves a bad impression on the establishment and may sway customers to dine elsewhere. Otherwise, the pizzas were delicious! read more

The Staff here is very Rude my Boyfriend and I walked in we were in a great mode! excited to eat, and the staff working on this day was so unpleasant, they gave us attitude and made faces when we were deciding on toppings or would ask for extra toppings, constantly repeating that'll an be extra charge after every topping we'd want extra of in a very sarcastic condescending tone. I've been here 3 times now and every time I've come, I've had the most polite employees and a BOMB tasting pizza. Actually, Pieology is probably my fave pizza place now! I'm going to start by saying how much I love Pieology. The concept, the food, the casual atmosphere. But I'm giving my last experience a 3 because of the way my last order went down. During the shelter in place order, we try and support local business and the food business industry. I did an order online- grubhub via Yelp- and my order said 40-50 min. No issue on that, I was fine with waiting. I had some things to do that would pass time. I rec'd a confirmation text, email and on the app. I kept checking back on the app and it my order wasn't ready. 45 min go by and by now I'm in the parking lot waiting. I decided to walk in and just check on my order. Low and behold..my order was sitting there! No call, no text, no update. Who knows how long my pizza was sitting there? Needless to say, I picked up my food, headed home and yeah, the pizza was cold. At this point, my order still wasn't updated in the app as ready or picked up. The service was great and the staff were friendly. The food, however, is another story. I got the Gluten free pizza. The crust is pretty good, but the toppings at the pizza bar looked not so great. I usually get chicken, but it looked really dry and old. I was then going to get ham (Canadian bacon) but it also looked dried out, plus there were all kinds of other food bits in the container with the ham, and it looked watery in the bottom. I got bacon and mushroom and it was decent. But my poor mom got a regular crust Hawaiian. We have no idea how, but her pizza came straight out of the oven absolutely soggy. It was like it had water poured on it. Plus she said it didn't taste very good (she tried to eat the not soggy bits). My boyfriend and I went here for the first time. It had a strong odor like eggs or gas. Later, I read on a Facebook page that there had been a gas leak. There were two employees working at the time. The place was dingy, and not very inviting. There was only one customer eating at the time. Been here three times, and had two times 5 stars and one time a 2 star. So an average of 4. The 5 stars were some on the best thin crust pizza I have ever had! My girlfriend who is s thin crust fan Aldi loved it. You really need to eat the thin crust pizza right after it is cooked. If so you will have this crispy thin crust that is unmatchable. In 10 minutes this thin crust becomes soggy from the grease and you lose what make the pizza so special-the crust. The two star was from my visit today. Please be warned. Untrained and understaffed, poor quality food, filthy restrooms, bad experience twice in a row. We had a bad experience a few weeks ago, but decided to go back hoping it was just a bad day. It wasn't. The issue is there isn't any management present to hold employees accountable and to train. The 2 young men that made our pizzas clearly had no idea what they were doing. The space was dirty, several toppings were completely out and the ones that were available were heavily mixed with the other toppings. The employee literally took a handful of each topping and dropped it squarely in the center of the pizzas so some areas were 2" tall and others had nothing at all. I asked for 1/2 and 1/2 for my pizza and they clearly didn't understand what "half" meant as they only put the other toppings on a small little section of the pie. When they out them in the oven, it was clear they didn't know how and all the toppings flew off the pizzas into the oven. We checked out and waited, and waited, and saw them pull the pizzas out to cut and box... but they didn't. They pulled up about 8 pizzas on the counter letting them get cold. I finally approached them and they had to ask us to come back to identify which pizzas were ours. It was pretty hard to watch. The employee told me he was new and there was no supervision so they were really overwhelmed. Once I finally got the pizza, I discovered it was undercooked. Ugh The bathroom was filthy last time I went there so I avoided it this time, but by the looks of the place cleaning is not a priority. Long story short, if management doesn't do something to hire competent people and properly train and staff the place, it will go out of business which is sad because Pieology makes great pizza. First time visiting one of the worst pizzas I ever had. cheap ingredients. red sauce must have been made from the cheapest they could find. the pepperoni had pieces of bone in it. the guy making the pizzas had a bushy black beard that looked like it had dandruff in it, F**king Gross!! paid for the pizza took one bite and through it away. I've been to many Pieology locations... this one was GROSS. It was dirty, and not just - wow, we had a rush we need to clean up after- but obviously no one has cleaned windows, cleared floor drains (you could smell them when you walked through the door!) or chairs, tables or trash cans in more than a week. Behind the counter was a disaster. After we were finishing up our pizza, I watched one of the workers pick his teeth with his fingers while standing over the toppings bar and the other one went into the bathroom for ten minutes and then came out and went back to work in the same hoodie. Gross. It was disgusting. Also, my pizza was burnt. There were two people working behind the counter, who did not greet us... one of them had ear buds in and couldn't hear our topping requests... each topping exchange went like this: "what topping" "mushrooms please" "huh?" I was there earlier today. The worker who was going to take our order needed to go break. The person coming in to take the order was not supposed to be working. However she was working and took the order. Somehow the orer took over 20 minutes and people who ordered after me got.their pizzas first. This isn't the first time we've gotten burnt pizza here. In the past I've been there and been able to take it back but tonight my husband picked it up for my kids. It tasted burnt and it's not good to eat burnt food due to carcinogens. Very unsatisfied with this. And would love a refund for the two burnt pizzas we got tonight.
